As long as you know you're signing up to a budget hotel you won't be disappointed. We were greeted very warmly on check in. The staff were helpful throughout our entire stay. Yes the rooms are dated but ours was an adequate size and was spotlessly clean. The bed was comfortable and we were only really in the hotel to sleep so it was exactly what we needed. Breakfast was basic but you didn't go hungry. The hotel is about 8-9 mins walk from the main touristy areas. You notice the walk less during the day as shops are open but when you walk home in the evening the tourist zone definitely tappers off. To be honest a short walk after dinner in the warm air was quite nice. If I hadn't read other reviews I probably wouldn't have even noticed the sex cinema opposite. It didn't…

A really enjoyed how much attention and guidance we got from the staff at the registry! Me and my colleague did not expect that much for sure. They gave us a map of the city metro and advice on how to get to our business expo. On our last day they even kept our bags with them so that we can move a bit around the city center (Monasteraki square for example). The locations is also top notch next to Omonia station (5 min walk). Thank you, guys!

First impression of this hotel is not great but once you are checked in by the very welcoming staff and see your room you will be pleased to observe how clean everything is.I spent 3 days at this hotel and have no reservations to recommend it.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Economy Hotel. Easy walking distance to many attractions including the Acropolis, Plaka & Parliament House. There is a supermarket nearby. Friendly, helpful staff. The room was very clean & serviced daily with fresh towels & basic toiletries. A healthy substantial breakfast buffet. Breakfast was served 6:30 - 10:00 which was great for an early start for your visit to the Acropolis, beating both the crowds & the heat. Rooftop sitting area with a view of the Acropolis. In the lobby they have a cold drink machine. It is an older hotel so the bathroom & shower are quite compact & there was a bare minimum of powerpoints & the WiFi could be a bit flakey. Overall I’d highly recommend the Economy Hotel.

This hotel is centered at the heart of athens. The area is ok, as long as you stay on the main street. I didn't leave the hotel after dark, since i traveled alone, and would maybe advice people to take a taxi after dark (they are really cheap anyway, also download the Beat app). The hotel in itself is not the best, not the worst. But its a great hotel if you are more into exploring the town, then being at the hotel. You get what you pay for. The room i had is an ok size, but the shower was kinda small. The room was cleaned everyday, and so was the towels. Theres also a really nice roof with a view of the Acropolis and the beautiful sunset over athens. Theres almost no guests up there, and i only knew of it because of another review here! You have to leave your hotel key…

The Economy Hotel, is just that. A great well priced hotel. The rooms are very neat and clean. Bedding is clean and white and the matress is good. The bathroom is functional. The hotel doesnt look much by night but it is in a back strert that runs beteen Monstalraki and Omonia, a very handy position. This means it is a bit of a walk to the flashier Plaka district ( maybe 10 minutes) but it is close to the rabbit warren of street of Psirri that are full of wonderful bars and restaurants. The hotel is also close to the central food markets a great thing to visit. I found it a little bit dark and creepy at night when all the shops close up and for this reason moved to a hotel in Plaka. I enjoyed my stay here. The breakfast was basic but very good and it is a good place to meet…

My room was very clean, and was cleaned daily. All of the staff that I spoke with were very nice and helpful. My room had a nice little balcony. The air-conditioning was great. The wifi was also great. I was on the very top floor and had no issues with the wifi. The best thing about this hotel is the location. It is within walking distance to many metro stations and many of the main sights of Athens. There is one area near the hotel that is sketchy and made me feel unsafe (when you exit the hotel and turn right, don’t turn right again down Sofokleous street, but rather turn left and walk past Hotel Fresh). But that was the only problem I had, everything else was great. Overall, fantastic hotel!

We decided to go to Economy Hotel since the accommodation in Athens was very expensive in general, and this one had a good price. Our stay was much better than expected: big room, breakfast included, nice and super helpful employees at the reception and central location (it might not be the most beautiful area, but you are literally 4 min away from Psiro neighborhood). We went by walking everywhere from the hotel. Our last day we had to pick a flight in the early morning and we had to skip the breakfast. The receptionist gave us 2 bags with snacks for breakfast and a juice when we did the checkout, it was very appreciated. Highly recommending the hotel!

The hotel is very well located between Omonia and Monastiraki. It is really close to public transports. Especially I really liked the walking down to Monastiraki. We came from Mykonos at midnight and fortunately the hotel was suitable for late check in. The staff was very gentle and positive. The room was comfortable enough. I highly recommed to stay in this hotel. The price-performance ratio is very well.
