This hotel is in a great location. Close to the subway and many places to eat and visit. It is also close to a place to get a COVID test. Got a really good deal that included a free dinner at one specific restaurant, free breakfast (they bring the food to your room), and laptop safe that would fit small and medium size laptops; may not fit a large.
Thi s is a non-smoking hotel and did not smell any smoke at all. The staff was really really excellent.
I did not expect to arrive at the hotel before check in time but it did not pose a problem. Their recommendations of places to eat were right on. Hotel is close to other major landmakrs such as Acropolos museum and Hadrian's Arch.
The only part I did not enjoy was the thermostat. I was not able to have the ventilation on all the time until the second to last day of my stay. The room was still quiet despie this. My guess is because there were not many guests until the second to last day..
Prices were reasnable probably due to COVID. If I were to visit Athens, I would definitely stay here again. Keep up the good work everyone!!!! Staff did ask for vaccine card. Great views of the Acropolis of Athens.

Amazing stay at this boutique hotel! Super centrally located in the Plaka village-like neighborhood, minutes away from the Acropolis and the Hadrien's gate. I had a very spacious and comfortable executive suite with a superb view of the Acropolis. This suite was well appointed with modern elegant furniture, spotless, well equipped kitchenette & a large deluxe bathroom. The bed was super comfortable and dressed with white snow, soft linens. Breakfast was served in the room and I had a great choice of cold and warm dishes along with the best fresh croissants, crepes and fruits. Last but not least, I was impressed by the impeccable service offered by the amazing AVA staff: Vassia, Marius, Vasiliki. I highly recommend this boutique hotel where I felt like home!

We arrive at the Ava Hotel after a 10 day cruise. In spite of the fact it was 10:30 in the morning, we were welcomed with open arms, our luggage was stored and we were invited to return when we needed to relax. We were tired and returned before check in to find our delightful suite ready and waiting with our luggage delivered.

We felt so at home in this lovely hotel and the bedding/seating in the suite is very comfortable. Each day they offer a sumptuous breakfast buffet (extra charge) with both traditional and Greek food choices.

The location is ideal because you can walk to many of the tourist attractions one must visit in Athens and plenty of shopping and dining facilities are also nearby.

Ava arranged transportation for us several times and the only time we used another taxi service is the time we got fleeced by they driver. Trust them at the hotel, they will take care of you!

We actually spent a week on another island after our two day stay, and decided to return to the Ava before leaving for home. When I returned and was again so graciously welcomed, I felt I had returned home. That evening I even encountered an employee I had meet previously and had chatted with when I got a glass of wine at the bar in the hotel one evening. She called to me across crowded walkway to say hello and hugged me and welcomed me back to Athens. I consider this one of my premiere hotel travel experiences!

this small boutique hotel was perfect in every way, location was so close to everything and the entire staff was so pleasant and helpful.
Maria and the full crew were very helpful, knowledgeable and made perfect suggestions of places to eat and things to do.
It was a 5 minute walk to the parthenon and shopping and restaurants. rooms were very comfortable, roomy and even sent each of our friends a bottle of champagne when we checked in! first class all the way :)

OK, I'm not Greek, but I've been coming to Greece since about 2005, and AVA HOTEL AND SUITES is always the hotel we return to for at least a few nights. Why? The location is smack in the center of Plaka, so you are close to all tourist sites plus tons of fun shopping and wonderful tavernas. The rooms are real suites with a mini-kitchen, which is almost as good as having your own private apartment in the center of Athens. The beds, the ac, the bathroom are all high quality, and some street side rooms have terraces with close up views of The Acropolis. And then there's the amazing staff. No request is too much, the level of help is beyond what we've ever found at most hotels in all our years of traveling. To top if off, there's a lovely breakfast every morning to start your day off right. Book this hotel if you're looking for one of the best boutique experiences in Athens. You won't be sorry!

We are a retired couple who stayed at this hotel for 4 nights while visiting Athens. The front desk was welcoming, friendly, efficient, and helpful. The room was spacious (we chose one of the larger rooms), very quiet at night, comfortable bed, good room lighting (which you don't always find in a hotel room), and good-sized bathroom. The kitchenette was a real plus and well equipped including both a Nespresso machine and drip-machine for coffee. The room was perfectly cleaned every day, including the kitchenette. The breakfast offered varied offerings ... both hot and cold ... and well served. The hotel is in easy walking distance to the Acropolis and to the city's main sites. In summary, the hotel is worthy of every praise.

We were two couples traveling together and upon our morning arrival at the hotel, we were greeted by Vassia. Our rooms were not ready, but she stored our luggage while we went out to wait for the changing of the guard (it’s pretty special on Sundays at 11am). After grabbing brunch, we returned to the hotel and Vassia presented us with our room keys.

The rooms are very spacious (executive suite) and the bathroom has two separate showers and a bathtub. The hotel is located on a quiet street and is EASY walking distance to all of the top attractions and lots of shopping. We walked everywhere we needed to go except for a Michelin-star restaurant that Vassia highly recommended (and she wasn’t wrong!)

The hotel arranged our airport transportation for our departure and it was timely and efficient. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if I return to Athens.

This hotel is one of the hidden gems of Athens. Centrally located near everything, extremely friendly and helpful staff and the best buffet breakfast with every delectable Greek cheese, amazing breads and cook to order eggs. The rooms are spotless and well cared for and the staff will graciously try and accommodate mostly any request. Don’t pass this hotel by. The rates are very affordable and you won’t do better anywhere else.

Great central Athens location, well-appointed, spacious and comfortable rooms, ultra clean, and most of all... an amazing staff!! Magda and Vassie rule the front desk and guest services, housekeeping is spotless, the kitchen staff prepared the best breakfast buffet ever. EVERYONE we encountered were extremely friendly and eager to please. By far, the best hotel experience we've had.
The location is minutes away from the Metro, the Tram, local bus and on-off bus lines. Shops and restaurants are down the block or around the corner. Entrances to the Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum are a 10-15 minute walk away... unless you stop for a gelato.

To the fabulous staff at AVA, thank you for making us feel at home.

Location, location, location. From our balcony we could look to the right and see the Acropolis, or look to the left to see the Arch of Hadrian and Zeus' Temple. The area the hotel is situated in Plaka, the Historical Center of Athens. So many quaint restaurants, shops, and gelato stands all around. The room was very spacious and impeccably maintained, and the lobby and breakfast areas were nicely appointed and chic. Our room had a chilled complimentary bottle of prosecco waiting, and I had opted to have a bouquet of flowers set up in the room for only 40EUR--this arrangement was beautiful and would easily have run $100 back in the States. But let me say, the staff really made our stay. Always beaming with energy and at the ready to assist. Say hi to Pangiota and Magda for us!
