The rooms are very small, breakfast is quite poor. The service is nice, rooms are cleaned every day. Hotel is located near subway and central streets. In my room there was no view, only wall of the next building. All in all, if you will be out of hotel most of the day it's ok.

Booker Beware! Before you book please read this. I read the negative reviews but took a risk as the price was cheap. I paid the consequence. This hotel looks OK in the pictures. The rooms are relatively modern but here are the negatives: * The Bathroom floods every time leaving the floor wet. * The rooms are very narrow and...

This was one of the worst experiences of our trip through Europe. The hotel was in a terrible area. Psyrri is close to the markets but when we were walking to the hotel it was far from pleasant. The man at reception was fine initially but after asking for the double bed like we had booked he became less helpful....

Arion Hotel is located in Psiri, the area where locals go to eat and entertain. That is the must of the place.Walking distance to Acropolis, Plaka, Museums, the fashion shopping street, Odos Ermou. Near Metro station of Monastiraki. Although some areas in downtwon Athens are not pleasant anymore at night, the hotel is located in a safe and nice area....

This hotel was truly a gem in terms of the room (clean, spacious, modern) and spectacular view of the Acropolis from the rooftop terrace. However the location of the hotel leaves much to be desired and although it's very close to Monastiraki station it's in a very sketchy part of the city (our taxi driver warned us when he dropped...

I wrote a review about this hotel already earlier but it was deleted because I used too strong words about the nearby narcotics scene. However this is a fact and needs to be told to potential guest of this hotel. On the other hand we loved the location: very central, quiet and very moden decor even nothing fancy (no frills),...

We had a triple room, very clean and modern room and bathroom. Good location to explore from, 5min walk to subway and train station. Friendly staff, breakfast is so so, one computer available for internet use. If you want to see the ancient sites of Athens I recommend that all you need is one day. Start early in the morning...

Seriously. Discovered these disgusting things in the room (203). Not much more to say really. Recommend you try your luck somewhere else. It's a pity - otherwise the hotel is OK. Nice decor and good location.

Due to several stopovers in Athens have now tried several hotels and this is by far the best in this price range in the city. The location is within easy walking distance of the subway and all the tourist sites. The rooms are spotless, very modern with excellent linen and beds. The staff were very friendly and always willing to...

I booked the Arion based on reviews I'd read here in Trip Advisor and was completely satisfied with what we got. The hotel is located in Psiri, very close to Monastiraki and the subway (with good access to the airport). The street is a little hard to find and get to (with lots of one-way streets around it), even for...

Staying in Psirri / Gazi

Neighbourhood Profile
Psirri / Gazi
Side-by-side neighbourhoods Psirri and Gazi provide some of the city’s prime nightlife. The almost claustrophobic streets of Psirri feature an interesting blend of original small businesses with the restaurants, cafés and bars that have recently sprouted up. The central artery of Agion Anargiron Street has lively places to eat or drink. Further west, you can visit the peaceful ancient cemetery of Keramikos, then cross busy Pireos Street to find yourself in Gazi. With the huge Technopolis performance and art complex converted from old gasworks at its heart, you really have to come at night to appreciate this maze of bars at its best, although a daytime stroll will allow you to admire the excellent street art.
