I stayed here during my very first trip to Athens. It was conveniently located in the middle of everything. Just a short walk away from subway stations, and around the corner from awesome eateries. They served breakfast every morning and it did not disappoint! Loved that there was always a front desk clerk on duty 24 hours.

Athens is a large, busy city that can be confusing or intimidating to those who haven't visited it before. Everything was great. The room was nice and very clean. The breakfast was very good and the stuff was ok.

Rooms in hotel Odeo are clean, rather modern and not too small. Impossible to open windows because of the noise on the large avenue. Staff is pleasant and helpful. Location is good because walking distance from Plaka but can feel insecure at first sight. It was one of the cheapest I coould find for the location & quality.

On two occasions tour drivers warned not to walk around this part of town at night, and to only get taxi's to and from your door. There are no shops open nearby.. But lots of permanently closed shutters. Staff were unhelpful when asked to book taxi's for us, leading to numerous taxi drivers trying to take advantage of us. Our...

Odeon is located at busy Pireos street. Our room was at 7th floor with balcony viewing Acropolis. With the balcony doors closed no noise reached our room. A pitty is that the airco remained on standby. Anothe constradiction is the bathroom. Large and clean. Why then a the shower that is so idiotic small ( +/- 50x50 cm) The staff...

Very friendly staff and clean hotel. It's ideal if you have a couple of days in Athens as it is next to Omonoia metro station and Monastiraki sqauare. The breakafast is more that satisfying. I was lucky enough to be their first guest on their renovated rooms!

Staying in Psirri / Gazi

Neighbourhood Profile
Psirri / Gazi
Side-by-side neighbourhoods Psirri and Gazi provide some of the city’s prime nightlife. The almost claustrophobic streets of Psirri feature an interesting blend of original small businesses with the restaurants, cafés and bars that have recently sprouted up. The central artery of Agion Anargiron Street has lively places to eat or drink. Further west, you can visit the peaceful ancient cemetery of Keramikos, then cross busy Pireos Street to find yourself in Gazi. With the huge Technopolis performance and art complex converted from old gasworks at its heart, you really have to come at night to appreciate this maze of bars at its best, although a daytime stroll will allow you to admire the excellent street art.
