Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Second time staying at this beautiful boutique hotel. Rooms are very clean and spacious, have a Safe and fridge. Fantastic value for the price. Great choice of buffet breakfast and hot drink’s available throughout the day. Location is ideal for the Acropolis and walking around Athens. Great stop over if your planning on doing a cruise. Highly recommend to stay here. All staff are extremely helpful and friendly. They will also organise your transfers when needed. We will definitely be back 5*****.

When booking this hotel through a third party on TripAdvisor, the vendor mistakenly double booked the reservation. The reservation was for two rooms and three nights. I immediately contacted the hotel and they refused to cancel the duplicate reservation. I tried email, telephone and even in-person when we arrived, and the hotel never offered any assistance. This amounted to over a €2000 overcharge. This was not an instance of trying to cancel a reservation but rather correcting an obvious duplication. At no time during our checkin or stay we’re we offered access to the rooms in the second reservation. I assume that they were re-sold to another guest. That aside, we spent two weeks around Greece at various hotels. In comparison, I’d give the hotel rooms about a 5/10. Small bathrooms, spotty internet and outdated decor. The breakfast was about a 3/10.

Room Tip: There are much better options in the area that have a nice view of the Acropolis.

Right up front, I will say the photos are a bit older then what you actually see when you get to the hotel, but do not let that put you off. The beds are comfortable, the rooms and bathrooms clean, sheets and beds comfortable. You cannot see the Acropolis from the hotel, but you can walk to the Acropolis, the museum, and the Plaka within 15 minutes. There are many excellent, non-tourist restuarants surrounding the hotel and the location is just perfect. Perhaps a con is that there is no elevator for two levels so you have to carry your luggage up to recetption and the elevator, but that certainly is no reason not to stay at this quirky little hotel. That's because the best thing, the very best thing, is the staff - we had great help from Donara, Vassilis, and Yannis. Vassilis is a great source of information for things to do and places to eat at - we would return in a heartbeat. Thank you Donara, Vassilis, and Yannis for a wonderful stay, we appreciate your kindness.

Our travel agent (TripAdvisor) booked our stay as we said we wanted a boutique hotel near The Acropolis and museum. We were extremely pleased upon arrival to learn that both were 15-20 minute walk. And along that walk were a number of small cafes vying for business, most serving authentic Greek food. Walking in, there is a lobby room to the side with television if you need to wait for anyone in comfort. Front desk friendly, professional and efficient. Check in was smooth, no issues. Our double deluxe room was good size with high ceilings, comfortable bed and pillows, ample closet space and side table. Bathroom was typical European standard, small in size, small shower; water pressure great and towels big and soft. Buffet breakfast was ample with assortment of both hot and cold choices. Oranges and a juicer for use, selection of teas, and filtered coffee. Two rooms for dining, so opt for the one down the little hallway. The hotel is situated equidistant from two metro stations and a bus station, as well as a large number of car hire businesses. Switch metro line one stop away for access one way to the main port for ferries and the other way for the airport. This is not a high end hotel, nor does it pretend to be. It is a very unique hotel in its style in the perfect location for the main historical/cultural sights and numerous eating establishments.

Disappointing, nothing like the photos or online description. Decrepit century old building that has been tarted up with a superficial paint job and not much else. Creaky floors and doors, old bathrooms with broken tiles and wonky shower doors, lumpy beds with old linen. No lift. Would be ok if the staff helped with suitcases but no such luck. Refuse to give any assistance "Not Part of My Job". Try before you buy. I made the mistake of booking for a week and decided to find better accommodation nearby but they refused even a part refund. And they where somewhat rude about it.

Lovely hotel with very friendly staff. It's clean, comfortable and has a good breakfast & all day coffee/tea. Superbly located. You have to climb stairs to get in & to the rooms. Our bathroom had a few cracks and issues, but it is always clean.

The bed was hard and sunken in the middle, making it hard to sleep. Being jet-lagged from our overnight flight, this was a problem. It was the least comfortable bed of the nine different places we stayed during our two week stay in Greece. Otherwise, the hotel was good. The staff were very helpful, answering my emails before our arrival and helping us learn how to get along in Athens. It is just a few minutes walk to the Plaka. It is on a busy street, but the noise is dampened by heavy curtains inside the room and tall pine trees outside the window. The private bath was good by European standards. There was a refrigerator in the room. Breakfast was buffet style and featured much the same options that other hotels provided. Had the bed been comfortable I would have rated the Acropolis Museum Boutique Hotel much more highly.

Very dissapointing. Nothing like the pictures. Very old and a bit dirty. Old furniture, old batghrooms with crcked tiles and wonky shower doors. Beds are lumpy with old threadbare linen. Staff are not interested, refuse to help with bags (no lift) Terrible breakie, horrible coffee.
