This is my 10th stay in this hotel, it s always a great hotel if you are visiting Pireus. Very friendly staff, very good location, surrounded by shops and all what you need, private parking. Prices are extremely fair for a nice stay in Pireus.
Free WiFi, serves dinner til 10pm. Rooms super clean. Service great from desk and restaurant personnel. Comfy bed. Requested extra pillows , received within 5 mins. We stay here several times yearly as location great for shopping , sightseeing and port.
The Savoy Hotel is located in the centre of Piraues, which makes it very convenient for us, business wise. However, the rooms really need an update, new wallpaper, carpet, curtains... The rooms keep smelling after sigaret smoke, even after all these years. This really made...More

Booked George's Taxi for transfers to/from the Savoy hotel and airport. BUT during the stay discovered that the subway system is within a very short cab ride from the hotel. The trains go right to the airport and shopping areas. The only consideration is luggage. We had one carryon backpack each so we were very mobile. It was easy breezy. My only caution when taking public transport is to get directions. know the name of your stop. I found that often the stops went by 2 names. The folks at the terminals are VERY friendly and VERY helpful with this information. Inside of the train cars you will find a map with a light that illuminates for each city as you approach. Nothing to be nervous about jump in! Oh and if you are going to the Acropolis and/or Museum you can do this by subway as well. FAR cheaper than cabs. It takes a bit longer but it's a great way to see how the locals live.
