Having looked at many places to stay before booking here, we couldn't have been happier with our choice. It's a small, boutique set up but with all the facilities of a bigger hotel such as restaurant, choice of pools, tennis court and a sweet playground set amongst olive trees. Our villa was exactly as expected from the photos and extremely accommodating for our 9 month baby including additional safety measures (stair gate), baby bath and toys, a gorgeous cot with baby bedding, high chair, pool inflatable and plastic plates/cutlery - we didn't need to ask for a thing. The resort is very peaceful, has a calming vibe to it and you can choose to relax there, explore the local beach on foot or rent a car for longer excursions - the team can organise everything for you, including taxis with baby seats. The breakfast was so generous and lots of choice, and nice to have the option to eat in the restaurant or in your villa. Thank you to Eleni, Pol, Mike, Babis and the team - you were all so friendly, helpful and accommodating and made the start of our holiday in Crete wonderful. …

From booking to arrival, Eleni and Pol were extremely helpful. The moment we arrived with our three year old we were greeted with huge smiles and a complimentary drink of our choice( much needed after an early start and flight with our small child)! During our entire stay they couldn’t do enough to help and suggested areas to go and places to eat, organising trips and taxis. Breakfast was always spot on and mike &george were friendly faces every morning. Babis was also so warm and welcoming every night we dined in the restaurant. Infact the whole team, cleaners and maintenance were all lovely. Pool toys and armbands were left in our villa along with some kids body wash which was a lovely personal touch. We went to Paradise Island villas after we got married with our four children and their partners. The villas we had (one three bed, one two bed) were superb - comfortable, luxurious and well equipped, with our own garden pools. The breakfasts were quite simply the best we have ever had in a hotel, and the main pool was rarely busy and well served with bar and snacks. The local town of Annisaras is 20 mins walk and Hersonissos in bigger and about 15 mins in a cab. Both had lots to do and were enjoyable places to visit - especially in the evening. The staff at Paradise Islands were attentive, helpful, polite but not intrusive. We cannot recommend this hotel enough - you will have a brilliant time.

The whole experience was excellent, before we even arrived they arranged the airport transfers and checked anything we might need, on arrival we were greeted like arriving VIPs with cold towels and a welcome drink before they took us on a quick tour of the facilities. Everything is so modern, clean and well done - the villas have everything you might need for a long or short stay, they even have your own security system/alarm. There is a fully equipped kitchen with expresso and filter coffee machines, oven, hob, microwave and fridge freezer plus all the other things you need, and a dining room to enjoy your cooking. But if you don’t want to cook they will bring room service to your villa! The lounge is comfortable with Full Smart TV and Home Entertainment system, downstairs and upstairs has remote control air conditioning, there is a large private, enclosed garden with a pool with Jets. The bathroom is all marble with a jacuzzi bath and shower, luxurious toiletries and bathrobes are provided too. Every day they clean and change all towels - so it’s just like a luxury hotel but they arrange when to clean so you aren’t disrupted/disturbed. The restaurant is excellent, the BBQ nights are an all you can eat feast of great food, the traditional speciality dishes are also really tasty, we had many great meals and enjoyed the local produce and wines. The team are so friendly and helpful - they really get to know you and make sure they do everything they can to give you the best holiday - providing guidance on trips and things to do, games, books, DVDs, you name it they can make it happen. Eleni, Pol, Babis and the whole team are amazing hosts and we will definitely be back again to enjoy their hospitality and the beautiful island of Crete!…

This might have been the best family holiday we've ever had. The set-up (private villas with amazing communal areas) suited us down to the ground. We stayed here in the last week of June 23. First of all, we were wowed by the welcome. The team waiting for us as we drove up to reception. The car was parked for us as we checked -in. We were given an upgrade and the welcome and introduction to the villas couldn't have been better. We stayed in an executive villa, which was beautifully decorated and furnished - it was a home from home. Pol gave us a tour. The kitchen area had a large fridge freezer, along with coffee machine, toaster, microwave and oven - not that we used the oven! If you want a few essentials, the nearest supermarket is a few minutes drive away. We had a car, which we thought was pretty essential, as there isn't much near to the villa. If you want a choice of restaurants then you will need a taxi or car, but we loved the restaurant and atmosphere at the complex. You get well looked after by Babis - who was amazing, every night - making the experience very special. The selection of food was good, with different Greek specials each night. If you don't want to eat by the pool, you can have your meal delivered to your villa. The prices were very reasonable and we compared them to restaurants in nearby Hersonissos. We ate out one evening, and the taxi to Hersonissos cost around 15 Euros - each way. We must recommend the breakfast menu - which is served from 0900 to Midday. The service was excellent, and the food was always very good, with a great choice of fresh options. On a couple of occasions we had the whole place to ourselves, while eating our breakfast. We spent most of our time in the garden of our villa, relaxing by the pool. It's worth noting that the complex sits under the flight path into Heraklion Airport. The villa was cleaned daily, and housekeeping popped in around our breakfast or when we let Eleni know we were going out. We also had some laundry done, which was returned in 24 hours. So, really we can only repeat what other guests have said. If you are looking for a bit of luxurious quiet time, away from it all... this is the place for you.
