This is one of those places you don't want other people to find out about so you can keep it all to yourself. We loved it here and intend to return. Our villa was very private, the garden and pool not overlooked, and we just had a week of pure relaxation. We would occasionally move to the main bar/restaurant for a drink and swim in one of the bigger pools, but more often than not we ate room service at our villa. The staff were all so kind and friendly, they could not do enough to make us feel welcome.
Apparently the property was at full occupancy during our stay - we would never have guessed because it was so quiet, in the best possible way. I would love to say we did loads of exploring but we only left the property once all week! It was just so nice, we didn't want to go anywhere.
I have to mention the food because it was superb. Everything I tried was beautifully prepared, very fresh and just delicious. And I could keep leftovers in the fridge to snack on later, which I appreciated.
Our villa was also beautifully decorated, spotless, and had more than enough different places to sit inside and out, including plenty of shady spots.
Finally, for us a big factor in favour of this place is that it's so easy to get to. You can be relaxing with a drink about half an hour after getting off the plane. For lots of people that's worth its weight in gold.

This is one of those places you really want to keep to yourself; however Eleni, Pol & the rest of their team deserve the world to know what an awesome place they have. From the moment we arrived we got the warmest welcome. We got upgraded to the larger villa so everyone would have their own room and bathroom, fab! We loved the breakfast set up; you got a certain amount you could choose from from the menu -drinks not included those were free- the amount was high enough that we could choose as much as we wanted. It's a good way of avoiding waste as you so often get with buffets, also everything was made to order so nice and fresh. We regularly had lunch and dinner at the hotel as the food was delish at extremely reasonably prices. The villas have a rather well equipped kitchen, so you can cook if you want, but with daily specials at 12€ why bother! Eleni is like a walking encyclopedia of the area, she shared a lot of useful information with us from best beaches to when best to visit Knossos, tourist traps etc etc. Anything you would feel you need, Eleni or Pol would arrange it for you. Both my daughters had their birthday during our stay and the team made sure they had a wonderful time; cake, decorated table, candy, singing...the lot, they loved it. By the time we had to leave we felt like we were saying goodbye to family. From Jumeirah in Dubai to the Mandarin Oriental in KL I can genuinely say I have never experienced this much genuine heartwarming staff. We'll be back!!!

We have just returned from an amazing stay at Paradise Island Villas for our honeymoon. Wow!
We arrived and were greeted as though we were old friends, with a cold towel and cool drink which was perfect in the hot sun. Eleni told us that we had been upgraded to one of the two bed Paradise villas and when Pol showed us to our villa (Apollo) there were special extra touches such as rose petals leading up the winding staircase and on the bed, candles, chocolates and champagne which was so thoughtful and a lovely start to our honeymoon. It made everything even more special!
The villas are luxurious, chic, tastefully decorated and spacious. Very well equipped too - Eleni and Pol have thought of everything! The hotel itself is located in a peaceful gated complex with stunning views. The location is great - easy walking distance to the beach and there is a bus stop nearby to travel to the centre of Hersonissos (€1 .60 per person each way) or to Malia. Alternatively, Eleni and Pol can arrange car hire for you.
The food and drinks are simply delicious and all the staff are second to none - friendly and attentive, nothing is too much trouble. Babis, the waiter, even taught us some Greek. Eleni has great local knowledge and can give excellent recommendations for places to go and things to see. Overall, 5 star service!
I would 100% recommend Paradise Island Villas to anyone visiting Crete and thinking of staying. I would also highly recommend the Greek BBQ night! Outstanding food and we were so full after!

Paradise Island Villas is definitely the place to stay if you looking for a personal, luxury holiday. We had the most amazing experience.
The complex has 12 villas in total and there’s plenty of space. All the villas have private gardens and plunge pools plus there’s two large pools, playground, tennis court and gym. The setting is stunning and we love the style, every area has been meticulously designed for luxury and comfort. Eleni, Paul and their team work tirelessly to ensure that everything is perfect for you from the moment you arrive at the airport.
The villas are beautifully designed, Eleni & Paul ensure that they think of everything before you need it - and are always on hand to help with anything and everything.
The food is so exceptional, we ate in the restaurant every night, wonderfully looked after by the lovely Babis, and loved everything from the Lobster, Fisherman’s Soup, moussaka and kebab dishes. The Cretan wines are delicious and Babis ensured we had the perfect pairings with our dinner.
The breakfast is definitely worth adding to your package. We had an absolute feast every morning from eggs and fruit platters to pancakes and waffles. Michael is there all day to look after you, our kids loved him!
Everything is set up to make it easy for the kids. We were in Aphrodite villa, next to the restaurant. The complex feels very secure plus the villas have alarm systems and long range baby monitors so we had such a treat of being able to have drinks and dinner every night in the restaurant whilst the kids slept. If you didn’t feel comfortable doing this, the full menu is available as room service so you could eat inside the villa or in your garden too.
Such a wonderful place, we’ll definitely be back and totally see why so many people return every year and why every review is as passionate as ours. Thank you so much!

We cannot recommend Paradise island enough, the staff are truly magnificent and really go there extra mile to make you feel so welcome. The service at the resort is impeccable, no task was too much and they really can’t do enough for you. We were staying at the villas with a 5 month old baby and I have to say this was the perfect place for babies. Everything you need for young children was provided, from pool toys and floats to baby monitors and sterilising machines, they have everything to make your stay as easy as possible. The resort is so quiet even at capacity and always felt like we had the place to ourselves. The food at the restaurant was delicious and the staff again were amazing. The location of the villas is set up a hill about 10 minute walk to the beach. The local villages are a short taxi ride away and have lovely restaurants, not to be missed. If you are looking for a relaxing, chilled holiday with outstanding service this is the place for you. Paradise island was a home away from home and we look forward to seeing our Greek family again one day soon.

This was our first time to Paradise Island Villas. A beautiful setting, quiet, minimalist, classy, relaxing yet very very friendly. The wonderful staff treated us to first class service in a professional but friendly way, they could not have done more to make our stay any better. The food in the restaurant is absolutely delicious, as fresh as it comes and with the lovely Babis to serve you each evening, it's a quality experience! The swimming pools are beautiful, refreshing and clean, the accommodation again really clean and minimalist with their own private plunge pool. We took one day trip out but the rest of our time was to relax which was easy to do in such wonderful surroundings. We had never heard of Paradise Island Villas and booked this trip last minute, would recommend it to anyone and am sure we will be back one day. It took us a little while to be able to finally post a review of Paradise Island Villas, however, it was really important to us that we shared our experience, to thank Erini, Pol and the team for such a wonderful stay at the beginning of July.
First of all, Paradise Island Villas provides something quite unique. A small number of well furnished villas, hidden within the walls of an unassuming spot on a hill, about 30 mins drive from Heraklion airport. The personal welcome and attention from the moment we arrived to the moment we (reluctantly) departed, the team did whatever they could to make our stay very special. They are so obviously very proud of the little oasis that they have created, and want you to feel part of the family. Our first (of many) family meals at the restaurant by the pool was made even more special when the team surprised us with wine and a birthday cake for my birthday.
Our villa had everything we needed, was spacious, with a living, dining and kitchen area, multiple balcony’s, and a garden with a pool. Essentials such as water and coffee were provided, and topped up daily. The a/c worked really well, and kept a lovely consistent temperature without needing adjustment. The pool was lovely, and a good temperature, and big enough to enjoy time with the family, and dip in and out of. The much bigger main pool was also a lovely and relaxed place to hang out and read a book - the size, temperature and depth was perfect. There was another decent sized shared pool right next to our villa, which was fun also. The only thing to note is that there were a lot of steps up and down between pretty much every part of the villa inside and out, even between the living areas on the ground floor. This was not an issue for us, but could be for those less able.
The restaurant was great, with fresh and good quality ingredients, and a decent selection of options. They also recommended some excellent local restaurants. The cocktails, named after the Greek Gods (like the Villas) were very good too!
We hired a car, and onsite parking was free, easy and accessible. While not very close to where all the action is without a car, we did walk down to a fun very low-key cafe by the sea called Papou’s Sunset (about 10 minutes walk) which served good quality and reasonably priced food (and a great sunset). A taxi to the local nightspots by the sea was also only a few euros, if required.
If you’re looking for something intimate, unpretentious, welcoming and restful to spend a few days, or weeks in the sun, then Paradise Island Villas is perfect.

We have just spent a week at Paradise Island Villas which we booked based on the great reviews we read on the web and to celebrate multiple Birthdays across our family of 8 adults and 5 children aged 7 years, down to 2. The resort is lovely!, We stayed in 3 of the villas, the 3 bed and 2 of the 2 beds and each was immaculate really well equipped and luxurious, with their own gardens and mini pools, it gave each family the chance to spend time together in the communal pools but then to chill out in their own space, when needed. The management team, Eleni and Paul, to the restaurant team Michael and Babis couldn't have been more attentive and helpful and they each made us all feel very welcome and relaxed, The food is great and the service and setting were exemplary. We all loved our stay and am sure we'll be back, either together or as individual families.. Our thanks to them all at Paradise for making it a lovely holiday!

Incredible 2 weeks away at P.I. Villas. Eleni & Pol looked after us to the highest of standards, nothing was too much trouble. From finding us amazing guides to take us around the Palace of Knossos, to booking sail boat trips, tennis lessons, water slide parks, delicious restaurants, beach days and tending to a poorly ear with a Dr's appointment.
The villa complex is in a quiet space away from the hustle and bustle, with a perfect private swimming pool for our two children 6 & 8 years as well as being able to enjoy not cooking for two weeks with their wonderful restaurant up in the main area.
In this Covid era we are living, they upheld their protocols to the highest, allowing all of my family to relax deeply after these last 18mths.
We would return for sure, Crete and Paradise Island Villas is a wonderful combination.

It is very quiet and remote so you would need a taxi to take you to nearby lively resorts. There is no actual entertainment at the villas. It is more for relaxing and chilling. The staff are fantastic and look after you brilliantly and will definitely recommend nearby places.
