The room with the sea view was fantastic. The room was clean and cleaning is done both on request and without. The breakfast was tasty and surprisingly versatile considering the star rating, the products were fresh. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is perfect. There are no sounds from the environment in the room and during our stay the neighbors were calm and quiet. Air conditioning is chargeable, but it was provided for and does not reduce the functionality of the hotel. Thank you for a very good Crete experience, of which the hotel is essentially a part.

This was our third time in Agios Nikolaos, and the second time at El Greco. We love the hotel, the staff are perfect and the sea view from our balcony was stunning. We will definitely be coming back! Special thanks to George at the reception, thank you for your friendship, advice and help!

Top of my review must be Angela and George who work on reception, they are both really friendly and helpful, they advised us where to eat, the best beaches, places of interest to visit, Angela even found me a good shop to purchase a lovely handbag, nothing was too much trouble! A room with a sea view is a must, the view from our balcony was beautiful. The room was cleaned every day. The ladies who done breakfast always welcomed us every morning with a cheery greeting and a nice choice of buffet. The hotel is in the best location just a short walk to everything. On Angela's advice we took the Little train tour into the mountains to the ancient village of Krista which was very interesting and worthwhile trip. We also went to Spinalonga. There are plenty of different trips available. If you read this Angela and George thank you for making our stay enjoyable and we hope that bike has been swapped for a car Buh!!!!

Very nice, smaller hotel in a very good location in Agios Nikolaos. It's close to the city center and from there you can easily walk to different places. Staff is very friendly and they are always helping you with everything. Breakfast was nice, it just needs more variety. Our room was on the second floor with an ocean view and it was totally worth it! What a view! Noices didn't bother us at all. Shower was a nice surprise for us. It worked better than we expected (because of the star rating of the hotel). A really good hotel considering the star rating! We could come again :)!

The good location is the best recommendation. Remember to book a room with a view to the sea. The hotel was clean and tidy, the staff was friendly and helpful. The room was maybe a bit old fashioned, but there were all you needed, except the safety box (which is in the reception). There is a beach nearby, lots of good restaurants and the city center within walking distance. The breakfast was adequate.

Good location just couple of blocks from the area with restaurants and promenade. The staff was very nice, the room clean. The family room was too cramped. We parked on the street with no problem. The rooms facing the street have a nice view of the sea.

We stayed for 3 nights with friends. Our balcony room was on the second floor, described as executive sea view room. The view from our room was spectacular. Our friends room was the same category, but based on the first floor around the other side of the hotel. By no stretch of the imagination could either room be described as anything other than very tired and extremely basic. Our mattress base was ripped to shreds in places. Although top sheets & pillow cases were clean, the rest of the bedding/covers was grubby and old. Shower room badly needed refurbishing. Even new sealant would improve the look. In our friends room the toilet pan was badly stained and flush only worked sporadically. Their room was really dark and depressing, but did offer a sea view. There seemed to be very few staff on duty. However the staff we did meet were all hardworking, polite and kind. The breakfast was in a room with no sea view. It was plentiful, but basic. The location of this hotel is amazing - as are the sea views. It needs a whole lot of money spent on total refurbishment, but has the potential to be an incredible boutique hotel.

We had a beautiful room with a lots of space for us 3 travelers. The hotel itself is very basic but the location makes it so special. The golden sea its right over there behind the window.! There are good restaurants near the hotel and nice little beach. The city is also in a walking distance. The breakfast at hotel was basic but there were fresh fruits and veggies:). The service was also good. Nice place to stay for few days.

It’s the second time we stayed at El Greco and it never disappoints! Its location is great, only a few minutes walk to the beach and all the bars and restaurants of Agios Nikolaos. The staff is very friendly, helpful and always with a smile on. The rooms are very clean and spacious with amazing sea views and at a great price. During our last stay we had breakfast included too which was served on the first floor and had a very good selection of delicious treats for every taste. Overall we had another great stay and will definitely visit again!
