We picked this among many quay-side restaurants due to a TripAdvisor recommendation. It was an authentic taverna with fresh, delicious ingredients cooked the traditional way. The local vegetable sin the Greek salad were crisp and flavoursome. The portions were generous and we got free cake and a local desert wine at the end. It is a shame we have to move on rather than sitting in the cool and people watching. A real highlight.
Had a lovely stay at the hotel which had a small balcony overlooking the harbour. Hotel is in a perfect location to all the restaurants and bars but also very quiet so you get a decent night sleep The breakfast was fresh and well made and included cereals as well as some hot food. The terrace at the top was a great place to have your breakfast with a brilliant view. The hotel restaurant was also good with added bonus of 10% discount if you were a guest All the staff were friendly and helpful especially augustino. Hotel not suitable if you have difficulty with stairs
I thought I had booked an old favorite of mine but years ago but this was not the case. In fact, it was better. A very quirky old captains house about 400 hundred years old with 2 great roof tops with incredible views where breakfast was served if you wanted it to be. It was like navigating a maze up and down from one side to another and I finally got the hang of it on the last day. You had to walk down to the bottom floor to pick out your breakfast and then someone would carry up 4 floors to whichever rooftop you chose. The staff was very accommodating and researched a handmade rug store for me I had been at years before, and then gave perfect directions. the people who worked in the hotel were kind, helpful and genuine. The only reason I gave a 4 star instead of a 5 is because the stairs were a killer and my very good room was on the top floor. I will definitely stay here again, next time I am in Chania.…
After we had wonderful 6 days in Milatos, Creta, we arrived in Chania. What we booked was a nice hotel on the habour with wonderful view. What for terrible surprise we got as we entered the room, Insite small windows, no light, terrible bathroom, shower 50/50 cm. Bed was so small, that it was difficult to sleep there with 2. I asked definitely for another room, it was said to me that everything is full, for the 3 says I was there I did not see the manager, the hotel did even not even did an effort to propose a compensation.... Worth ever stay, I would rather go camping
Location is excellent close to shopping, restaurants and transportation. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious and clean we had room 11 very comfortable for 4 people great balcony and view. Would definitely recommend this stay.
