''Elia Bettolo'' is centrally located in Chania and the historic Old Town, combines coziness and functionality and offers various accommodation options making it the ideal choice for either business or leisure. Right next to the hotel is Skrydlof street, the leather street of Chania or “Stivanadika” as it is best known, where most of the town’s shoemakers would make and sell the Cretan boots. This narrow street gives a distinct hue to the area and a feel one is in the middle of a bazaar. ''Elia Bettolo'' combines a modern décor with the traditional features of the old town. It consists of 20 rooms, each equipped with air conditioning, fridge, satellite TV, phone, hair-dryer, safe vault, and an espresso coffee maker. In our breakfast buffet, we offer traditional Cretan delicacies as well as treats from all over Greece along with hot and cold beverages, that serve every type of diet

For our last two nights in crete we did not really care too much about the hotel, as we planned to spend the vast majority of the day in Balos and Elafonisi. Well, Elia Bettolo was an excellent choice.

If you might be skeptical when looking at the outside and the small reception, well get ready to be surprised. The rooms were huge, with a very nice balcony and a cool style. The bathroom has a multifuncion shower with steam, nice touch.

Breakfast was great on the balcony with the view on the calm street in front of the hotel.

The position is perfect, you are not in the middle of the nightlife but at walking distance. The beach itself can be reach by foot aswell (15 minutes maybe, but in such a beautiful city it will be a pleasure, trust me)

Great hotel with a very good location. Short walking distance to harbor & city center. As far as customer service comes along, I was very impressed and actually didn’t expect the 10/10 service that was provided. From arranging shuttle service to the problem solving of a small issue we were having with our room and even the ombrellas provided at the entrance for their guests. The rooms were nice with plugs by the bed which is a plus as well as a coffee machine and a mini fridge as well. Overall, deffinitely would be staying here again.

Me and my fiancé had an amazing time at this hotel. The location is perfect, in the middle of the centre but at night still it is quiet.
The staff of the reception and breakfast service was very friendly and helpful at all times. Breakfast has a selection of warm and cold dishes with good coffee.
Overall, very happy and satisfied with our stay.
Would come back and stay here for another time as well:)

Great location. Superior Room on top floor with balcony but unfortunately the balcony was in the hot sun ALL day making it unusable. We stayed 9 nights, so we did think that perhaps they could have given us one of the other rooms with a more usable balcony but apparently not. Also, they gave us 2 beds which we thought was odd. There was no mention of bed configuration when we booked and I assumed 1 bed. We did see other rooms with 1 bed, so I figure they just gave us the dud room. Not happy as it wasn’t cheap. The room was well furnished but not overly practical. The safe was a shocker. We couldn’t get the safe to work (even after we spoke with the staff) with a keycode so we had to rely on the key (so old fashioned). Shower water pressure not great. Included breakfast was lovely, lots of options and quality very good. Sitting out on the breakfast balcony (with shelter from the sun) was a great location to see everything in the street. Value for money? Not sure. Would I stay again? Possibly, but there are other cheaper places nearby that also ‘look’ good.

Room Tip: Don't book the rooms with balconies that face the sun all day otherwise they can't be used!

Once more very happy with another Elia group hotel, this time the Bettolo. Family of five, had booked a twin and a triple room. Very happy especially with the triple suite one. Very clean, spacious rooms, unbelievable super breakfast offered on the first floor, very polite and helpful staff. We are not wrong booking any of the Elia group hotel during our often visits to Chania.

Thanks for a great stay. Lovely staff great room, great breakfast. Staff really helpful, nice views from our room on top floor, room 505 of harbour and church. In the old town, next to restaurants and bars, 5 minutes walk to harbour and bus station. 15 minutes walk to city beach. Would come back again

We only stayed one night in this hotel, as we were travelling to another part of Crete, but we had a great stay. Location is perfect and breakfast is plentiful with lots of choices. Definitely recommended for a short trip to Chania Old Town.

We probably had the best room in Elia Bettolo, a suite on the top (5th) floor overlooking the harbour. Breakfast were more than ample, rooms cleaned while we eat, The staff were very helpful, especially Yannis who sorted out our television, air con and safe!! It was so good to have a hotel in the middle of town so we could go back anytime of the day to relax. We would more than recommend this hotel to anybody and everybody. We didn't have a car so did not worry about parking.

I don't remember having that in my room. However, if you ask the reception in advance, I am sure they'll find a solution or suggestion. They are effective!

Good evening, I would like to inform you that there is a 24 hour reception service, so you do not have to call before arriving at the hotel. In case that you arrive and nobody is there, please wait for a while as there are a few properties that are served from the same reception and maybe my colleague is called by someone nearby. We are looking forward to seeing you. Kind regards Stella Amountza Receptionist

Hi there. I know there isn't any parking in or around the hotel. The beauty of the hotel is that it's right in the centre of the town, just off 'Leather Street', minutes away from the harbour front and the whole place has a lot of pedestrianised areas. Whether there are any public long stay car parks nearby I don't know. It might be worth checking with the hotel directly. We found the staff really friendly & the hotel itself was amazing, as was Chania. We went twice last year and are already booked for May this year and are probably going again in September. So if you're going, have a great stay!
