I don't know if I've ever been a guest at a more accommodating hotel. We arrived late after flying into Heraklion. The hotel is easily accessed, has clean rooms and a huge complementary breakfast. The staff went out of their way to accommodate my need...More
We arrived in the early hours of the morning on a flight from Gatwick just for one night en route to Rethymno hoping that there would be no checking in complications at that time. The staff were efficient and welcoming and the hotel was well...More

The ancient site of Knossos is well worth a visit and can be accessed from the main bus station by local bus, there are also museums, galleries and old churches that are worth a visit. The town centre of Heraklion is packed with shops and some malls just ask at your hotel reception. You will find English spoken practically everywhere and judging by the clarity of your question you should be fine. The Cretan people are warm, welcoming, cultured and very helpful so have a wonderful time!
