Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Where to start.... We did not stay here, but we had a wedding party. All the staff are friendly and helpful. The camping area is absolutely gorgeous, soo relaxing. The taverna is right on the beach. What a gorgeous place, we had about 20 guests, and they set all the tables together for us. Mum and dad's wedding party was everything they could of asked for, we had music, great food, and met some great people. How amazing is that you can sit down have your food and then go for a swim on the beach, which is absolutely gorgeous. If we would of know how beautiful the camping area is, we definitely would of stayed there. Thank you to all staff for being soo welcoming, and providing us with everything we needed. Definitely recommend this place.

Spend 6 nights in the camp renting a medium sized caravan. The caravan itself was comfortable enough for one person. The bed had a thick and comfortable mattress, there was an inside faucet where you could do some basic washing, a small outside fridge that was working well and kept my beers cold and in the outside area a table with four plastic chairs. There are some mosquitos during the night so its a good idea to get a supply of spirals to light when you are sitting outside. Oh, if you are planning to sleep inside the caravan during the day, then you certainly need to turn on the airconditioning unit (extra charge) because it gets too hot. The common showers and toilets are clean during the day when the cleaning service is around, but by late afternoon and night it gets quite dirty. The restaurant is really good with good food at very reasonable prices that you will not find in outside restaurants. Service is a bit slow and laid back, but don't forget you are in a camping ground. The beach is awesome and when I visited in July the water was very warm. It is mainly a pebble beach but there is also areas with sand. The caravan comes with a beach ombrella and a couple of sunbeds that you can use when you are at the beach. Overall, even though there is ground for improvement, especially in the cleaning of public areas, it was an excellent choice. Certainly recommended and hopefully I will be back one day.

We didn't stay at the campsite but ate in the restaurant and loved it so much we went back another time! The staff were lovely and helpful and food was delicious and reasonably priced too. We were in a large group and they were so accommodating. Campsite looked well organised and shared facilities looked good too

Quite expensive for what it offers! Toilets without toilet paper but also not a disposal box!the kitchen area is tragic. An old refrigerator and two or three sinks ... There is no space for cooking. generally, the campsite gives an image of abandonment ...Another black spot was their demand when paying to pay extra for my two dogs! When I mentioned that there is no precedent for charging dogs in campsites in Greece I received the rudest answer"oh well! we are the first and it is our right" !!!in my remark, that it is not mentioned anywhere in their price lists the answer was "we will look at it" ...I had to be informed from the beginning, to decide if I wanted to stay or not!

Apparently the oldest camping of Rethymno, the vibe of this place is to provide anything in the range of basic to excellent accomodation to all visitors. I personally had the opportunity to learn insight info about hiking the gorges in the area aw well aw furtber south as well. If you want a no stress place, this is certainly your pick.

We did not stay at campsite but visited the Taverna on the Beach which is part of it. What a fantastic location on the beach, the Taverna serves great food and had a wonderful relaxed atmosphere to watch the sunset whilst eating. The food was delicious. Don’t be put of parking at campsite entrance of campsite and walking through to the Taverna, the campsite looked well organised. Well Worth a visit and away from the resorts crowds and feel like you are off the beaten track Thank you

There was no one at the reception office whenever tou need them. The note on the reception window says the opening times and adds that the manager is at the tavern in case you need him. The place is very dirty full of soil so when it blows there is a lot of dust. There are reeds around the tents and no trees, but there was a strong smell of urine around the place. Later in the evening we transfered the tent closer to the main alley because we heared noice in the reeds and were afraid of mice or snakes. There was no paper in the toilets and they looked dirty. The worst was that we couldn't find a plug to charge our phones. There were a couple in the laundry room which was far away from our tent. The security guy told us that last year a drank customer stole a campers lap top. So we were without phones or gps for 2 days. And ofcourse we got lost. The sea was nothing special. The whole place looked abandoned and dirty. The price was very expensive for no actual facilities and we left next day yo find a place less dirty and weird.

I was here second time, this time with second kid and it was great! We booked the deluxe caravan(with toilet and shower) and that makes the difference; 2 min from beach, 2 min from taverna with good food and good value for money, staff really friendly. A supermarket is 10 min walking A car could be useful for going out and visiting :) Also, big teenage groups can be a bit noisy but not a drama in the end.

The site is ok but is really set up for tents, glamping and bungalows We arrived and were told find a spot which we did but could not see where to plug in motorhome so hubby decided we would drive on. The lady then showed us where electricity was which helped. There is a private part of camp for volunteers helping to preserve turtle population There was lots of other youngsters in tents on our two night stay so trying to get into showers was difficult and they left quite a mess I sympathise with the cleaners The site is right in the ocean so that is perfect if you want beach and you have free use of sun beds There is also a small taverna which looked nice The best thing for us was being able to leave the van parked and get a bus into the town cheap too only 2.20 return each person and very frequent Also the site is 5 minute walk to good supermarkets selling nice Cretian food

We spent 4 days in a glamping tent and it was hard for us to leave. A glamping tent with coffee maker, fridge, AC, bathroom and shower on a marvellous quiet beach, how much better can it get. Yes I should mention the taverna that serves breakfast and excellent food all day round. All this just a short walk from Rethymno beach, if you prefer the busier life.
