Well, my Mum and I have returned from another fabulous stay at Pepi. Everyone needs some R&R from time to time and this place is one of a kind, soo relaxed yet perfectly located in the buzz of the old town. The room was cleaned every day during our 7 day trip, breakfast was served by Maria who was always on hand with fresh coffee and to help us learn Greek! This place is a hidden gem! Can not wait to return!

Its the second time we have stayed and we really enjoy the location and breakfast, this year COVID has played a big part in things being different but I do think its how people interpret the rules. I must say Pepi hotel had ample supply of handwash and face masks but there was a lot of little things missing from last year. I do hope 2021 will be a better year as we have already booked to return.

Dear Dave, Thank you for returning to Pepi Hotel for the second time. This year has indeed been a challenging year as some extra hygiene rules had to be applied and this slightly affected our services as well. We are happy however to read that you enjoyed your stay and we are looking forward to welcome you in 2021 hoping that things will be more simple for everyone. With warm regards Iosif Mamalakis Hotel Manager

Another great stay at Pepi Boutique Hotel the only change from our last visit being no buffet breakfast. Instead you fill in a card the night before saying what you would like the next morning and it’s served to your table. Personally for us this was better. Not a massive fan of buffets where the food just sits out for ages. Try the Greek yogurt with honey, absolutely amazing and the omelettes.
Can’t praise the staff enough, all the ladies from the breakfast staff to reception and the cleaners are all lovely and take time out to stop and chat and help you out with anything you need.
A couple of eating recommendations try Stella’s kitchen for lunch, just a one woman show, all home cooked dishes just around the corner. And for dinner Othonas on Petixaki Square and Vassilis by the Fortezza.
Thanks for a wonderful stay, we will be back.

Dear Sir/Madam, Thank you for choosing our hotel once again! It is really a pleasure to read that your second visit feels like better than the first one, despite all the measures that our hotel is taking to prevent the spread of Covid. The ideal idyll for a few days of time out and relaxation!
This small boutique hotel is located in the heart of the old town of Rethymnon, Crete and is ideal for both solo travelers and couples to relax and explore the city.
Located right in the center, it is only a few minutes' walk from all the sights, quaint taverns, both classic and hip restaurants, and the main shopping street with many beautiful boutiques.
The beach and the castle invite you to take lovely walks, including wonderful photo shoots.
The hotel itself is located in a slightly wider side street (the taxi drives right up to the door), it is very quiet and with the beautifully designed garden with palm, olive and lemon trees, it is a real gem.
The breakfast buffet is of very high quality, really delicious and also sustainably designed. It has everything you could want on vacation.
There is the best granola with Greek yoghurt, small croissants & pain au chocolates, oven-fresh bread, freshly squeezed orange juice, fruit and sweet, regional baked goods as well as a pot of coffee, which is served on request and which you can take straight to the pool after breakfast.

Every day there is an additional menu with warm egg prices for breakfast, I can highly recommend the pouched eggs.

After breakfast you can order from a drinks menu by the pool until late in the evening, e.g. coffee specialties, iced teas, Aperol Spritz, wine or beer.

Everything is lovingly designed with chic furniture in a fine country house style: the terrace, as well as the rooms, which are very spacious and cleaned every day and laid out with fresh towels.

The service is very good, the staff extremely friendly, helpful and always greeted me with a smile on their face. You feel in good hands and looked after, especially as a solo traveler.

All in all, a very nice stay, exactly as described online and exactly what I needed to escape from everyday life and switch off.

Thank you very much! I'd love to come back!

We stayed at this hotel for one week for the wedding of our son at a nearby location. There were 7 of us and every morning we were able to have breakfast together in the courtyard garden. Good choice of dishes for breakfast. Fresh orange juice, delicious muesli, variety of fresh fruit, some lovely egg dishes etc. Staff very friendly. Hotel is right in the middle of the old town. Courtyard garden very pleasant to relax in during the day. Personally I would have provided some anti-mosquito candles in the garden to keep the mozzies at bay from late afternoon. Rooms nice and quiet, my only negative there would be that the curtains don't close completely so light comes in, in the morning. Otherwise an excellent hotel. I would not hesitate to recommend it and we would hope to be back one day.

Dear guest, Thank you for choosing to stay in our hotel during your family's important moments. We are delighted to read that you have really enjoyed your accommodation but also the breakfast, but also your kind comments on our staff. We also thank you for your feedback on the mosquitos issue. This year (as every year) we proceeded to the standard ways of repelling our annoying friends but it seems that this is an uneven fight. I am sure that next year we can manage to make it a little bit better using more effective techniques. Again, thank you for staying in our hotel and we are looking forward to welcoming you back in the near future. Kind regards Iosif Mamalakis Hotel Manager

We finally arrived at the Pepi Boutique Hotel after various covid related postponements; so glad we eventually experienced this lovely place to stay.
Tucked down a little side street, which gave peaceful sleep, this hotel is perfectly positioned for exploring the whole of Rethymnon Old Town and also for an easy walk to the beach.
We stayed in Room 5 which gave us a little balcony overlooking the Pepi courtyard and palm trees. We also had a lovely terrace area outside the room door furnished with table and chairs. The room was everything we hoped for and it had modern touches to add character which added to its charm. The bed was massive and very comfy. The pillows were some of the best I've had in Greece- some are awful!
The stay was enhanced by the lovely staff. They all quietly and calmly got on with their tasks but were smiley and chatty and just seemed really happy. Kula(??), Maria Ireni and Alberto made the delicious breakfast eaten in the pretty courtyard even better. So friendly.
We loved everything about our stay here and would not hesitate to return. Some people may be bothered by the quite shady courtyard if they were relying on sun bathing at the hotel but the same shade was lovely to come back to after the beach!
Manoussos and his family have created a gem of a hotel here and we were so happy to have had 2 whole weeks here.

My wife and I stayed at the Pepi Boutique Hotel for 2 nights in March 2022 and we loved our stay there. The room was spacious, modern and clean. The rooms was also very quiet, which is important since we are light sleepers. The location in the heart of old town Rethymnon was perfect and accessible to everything. Parking at the farm market was extremely convenient and a short walk to the hotel. It was a wonderful stay.

We much enjoyed our five-day stay here. We had a suite which was very spacious with the bedroom on an upper floor. We appreciated the sitting area and the little kitchenette. Housekeeping was very good and breakfast by the pool was excellent. The staff were all friendly and helpful both prior to our stay with very fast responses to our emails and during our stay. The location in the old town is excellent with lots to explore nearby and good beaches about 15 minutes walk away.
We would certainly choose Pepi if we return to Rethymnon.

Situated in the old town, this adults only hotel fulfilled all our expectations. We stayed in a suite for 2 nights. The suite had a loft area where the very comfortable bed was located. The stairs were easy to walk up and down. Downstairs, there was a very large living room with a dining table, a small area with a refrigerator and a hot water kettle. The bathroom was spacious.
The hotel grounds featured a small pool, with lounge chairs and beautiful fruit and palm trees.
Our host, Manos, was an absolute dream...he and his family have been in the hotel/travel industry for many years and it shows. We appreciated that there was not your normal breakfast buffet; instead, you order from a menu the day before and breakfast is served either in the charming breakfast room or outside if the weather permits. And the breakfast was delicious.
Don't miss this gem of a hotel!!! Thank you Manos and the lovely young lady who checked us in.

This is a small boutique hotel in the centre of the old town so in a perfect spot to explore the area.
The staff were exceptional and nothing was too much trouble.
There were 6 of us and we had 3 of the superior rooms on the first floor, they were really clean and there was plenty of room and it had everything we needed.
Breakfast in the garden was wonderful, a great selection of eggs and pastries and orange juice to die for.
Just a lovely lovely personable place to stay, will definitely go back!!
