We are a Norwegian family which stayed in Maria's place three years ago with our then two kids at 5 and 3,5 years old. We loved that it was so close (100 m?) to the childfriendly beach and a relaxed beach restaurant during the daytime. The flat we stayed in had one bedroom with aircon including a comfy double bed and a second room with a fridge and cooker with a table and chairs and two single beds. We had a balcony at both ends of the flat, one for morning and one for evening when enjoying a good book and a drink after dinner when kids asleep. The rooms are as or better than most self catering flats we have had in large resort hotels. Cleaned every day too.
5 min walk to the main road with tons of chilled/cool restaurants which has been designed by young Greek arcitects. Antiparos is called 'Mykonos chilled little brother' :). They welcome kids with open arms and being car-free for most of it, it's a gem!
We do not want a pool at our accommodations for holiday as we prefer the beach and sea during the day hence Maria's place is perfect for our need.
We are returning for two weeks again this summer, this time with three kids (7,6,2 yrs) to this amazing Island and accommodation. Great great value! Love it! Book early and Athena will tailor yourvstay with the right flat to you (and your family. Great early booking discount too ;)).

We have just returned from our second stay at Maria's Place . Antiparos is turning into our favourite island and I couldn't think of anywhere better to stay. It's in just about the perfect position. A short walk around the bay to the high street and the tavernas, ideal for that evening stroll past the fishing boats and small pleasure craft. The ferry to Paros is only a five minute walk away as is the bus to take you to the other end of the island. Maria's Place has simple clean appartments and an attractive garden area to relax. Maria and Spiros are both welcoming and friendly and we will be back again!

We had 8 nights at Maria's Place - we planned for 4 but couldn't tear ouselves away!! Excellent typical Greek Island accommodation with fridge with all you need for a light breakfast with tea or coffee. We stayed in room 3 which had an enormous balcony/terrace with partial harbour veiws - a real suntrap & lovely for breakfast or a beer in the evenings. Very good aircon & the room was kept spotless by the daily maid. A mozzie machine is provided too - bring your own tablets but a couple are provided to get you started.
Athena & Spiros were very helpful, offering beach towels & advice on where to go for sunbathing or a meal. Athena & Spiros were very helpful during the booking process over the internet & our journey back to Piraeus due to the strike.
All in all a very highly recommended place to stay in a great location. I'd book here again when we return to this gem of an island.

We stayed at this absolute gem of a guesthouse and were so pleased we did! It was recommended by the local diving centre and the charming owners did everything they could to make us welcome and comfortable.
The location is just to the side of the main port and up a little side lane, there are only glimpses of the harbour view but it is less than a minute to walk back to the port on one side and about three minutes to the closest beach on the other.
The upstairs rooms are compact but have 2 beds (single and double) plus a fridge, room safe air-con and balcony. There is also a communal seating area under a flower clad pergola and downstairs, there are tables in the garden. Breakfast is not included but there is a kettle, cafetiere and enough cups/plates etc to make your own.
All in all, highly recommended.

Just spent 20 days at Maria’s Place and enjoyed it immensely. The room was cool and kept scrupulously clean with access onto the beautiful garden. The walk into the town is about five minutes around the harbour and to the ‘cosmopolitan’ Camping beach about ten minutes in the opposite direction.
Athena and Piros couldn’t have been more helpful and were great fun to chat with.
Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Maria’s Place to anyone looking for an oasis of peace and quiet from which to explore Antiparos.

No point repeating all the 'excellent' comments below as they are all spot on. Only designated 3 nights for Anti Paros but wish we'd had more, its a hidden gem and Maria's Place is in a perfect postion to enjoy it, just a 2 minute flat stroll into the harbour

We had a charming welcome from Spiros and Athena at Maria's Place. Athena speaks great English which is always helpful. Our room was fine and we had a little sitting area outside where we had breakfast that we had prepared in our room. We also had access to the lovely garden where therer are tables and chairs if you want a bit more space. It is 5 minutes stroll to the town where there are plenty typical greek restaurants.
Antiparos is a lovely island so well worth hiring a car or bike and exploring the beautiful beaches of Soros and Georgias in the south. The restaurant at Soros beach is definitely worth a visit for lunch.

We decided to spend a bit more than usual for the last few days of our holiday, which brought us to Maria's Place, it was a decision well made. A clean and comfortable room with a well equipped kitchenette and large (by Greek standards) bathroom with excellent shower. Located a couple of minutes walk from the main street it is a quiet haven to stay with lots of pretty outside sitting areas for relaxing with a drink in the day or evening. Wonderful hosts made this the perfect spot for a stay in Antiparos

Spent 3 very relaxing days at Maria's place. Athena and family were perfect hosts. When not eating out , we had our meals under the pergola. There were also a couple of novels for us to read. Towels are very hard though, but apart from that, loved every moment spent on Antiparos and Maria's studios.

Athena and Spyros are a lovely couple and could not do enough for us to make our holiday enjoyable. The apartments are well placed for the beaches and tavernas being just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the main street. Spyros transported us both ways from the ferry port. Although it wasn't self catering there were all the basics supplied - kettle, cups, plates, knives, forks & spoons also a tea towel. the beds were quite hard but they were Greek style and hey we were in Greece!! We would return to stay with Athena and Spyros again.
