We stayed with our two kids and a friend for a week Aug 2019. The apartment is perfectly positioned with windows opening into the harbour, right in the heart of Gaios, if you want to be in the town it couldn't be better. The house is the most interesting along the waterside strip and the views perfect, you can while away the day watching the comings and goings of the boats. Beds are very comfortable, decor lovely and well maintained, the veranda is behind the house so no view from there, but shady all the time. Great kitchen, well equipped and the same goes for the bathrooms. Evie, the owner was lovely, attentive, helpful and super efficient. I highly recommend the property.

Been twice to Lefkada. My first time there was awful stayed in a hotel in which the owners were not helpful maybe it was due to the language barrier or that many hotels in Lefkada are mostly accustomed to Greek tourists and not to foreigners. This second time though I decided to find a different hotel.I was so lucky to have found averto hotel. And i am not exaggerating..First of all everyone was fluent in english which is a plus in a hotel and the room prices were reasonable for a hotel with many amenities and such a beautiful view. It is family owned and everyone is greeting you with a smile making you feel like you 've been living with them there for ages. Trying to fit your every need and really helpful esp when it came to where to eat or what to check and general info regarding the region. The rooms were clean and really comfortable. The whole environment was quiet, and relaxing which is a perfect combination for a cozy afternoon reading a book in your room's balcony. The whole complex is designed in the traditional way of most homes in agios nikitas which i found fascinating. I would definitely suggest you staying there. Its perfect if you are with friends, family or with your loved one:)

It was an unexpected surprise to see that the village of Agios Nikitas, as well as the beach, was exactly as i had heard or read onlline. But the best thing was Averto Hotel. The service was fabulous, the staff very friendly and the rooms something to thank God for! Trust me on this.

We had a lovely week at Averto in June - the hotel clean & peaceful and hosts helpful. The room was large and airy with a lovely balcon plus veranda on the shadow side. We became friends with the neighbour's old donkey grazing in the olive grove. Our hosts recommended us where to go for dinner - and we had a lovely meal. Before making our brekfast in the kitchenette in our room, I could have a swim in the turquise sea 100 m from our doorstep. The best was the walk to Milos beach - but be sure to leave early and to bring fresh water with you. This is the closest to paradise I've ever been...

Nice location. Helpful staff. Very close to the beach. Clean rooms. Great place for conferences all year round. Easy to go to the main city on the Lefkas. And a beautiful nature close around the area. I would like go back there for vacations. And thinking of having a seminar on the hotel in the future.

Just back from a stay in the sleepy little tourist town of Agios Nikitas. When you are tired of being mugged by restauranteurs and tourist schlock, and if you can handle life without Starbucks and cash machines, the soft pebbled beaches of this Ionian Isle may be for you. It's still affordable and friendly, though it's getting mobbed during the usual seasons of July and August. We stay in the Averto Hotel, which is incredibly reasonable, spacious, clean and comfortable. Both owners speak English, one speaks Italian as well, and the other speaks Danish. Naturally both speak Greek. All of the restaurants are superb and reasonable, especially when compared to the bland things served in Athens (where I began to crave Chinese food). Two which really stand out are Lefteris and Agnantio. The snorkeling in the little bay is quite interesting, the sea is usually very calm and clear, and hiking over the hill to Milos beach is just wonderful. You can get a cappucino Freddo for 3 Euro and sit and sip it on the bayside. In Athens we stayed at Hotel Adam just off the Plaka, reasonable at 70 Euros with good coffee, bread and cheese for breakfast included. The baths can be a little funky, but if that can be part of the fun for you, try it. It's clean at least. We really prefer the countryside, clear water, friendly people and soft breezes of Lefkada.
