not the first time in this hotel although decided to write a review I love this hotel the beach the pools the calmness the nature... its all about the beach and the sea ))))this was my 8th time in Thessalonik and the 3rd time in this hotel the hotel and the rooms are not renovated but they are still very comfortable with kids there is an option to take a very comfortable room with two rooms ) and the 2 toilets This year the food was very tasty ! almost every day we had salmon, seabass and other tastiest fishes .... very good breakfast and tasty desserts although the rooms sometimes are not very clean but believe me this hotel has a magical vibe )))) you don't notice bad things... the territory is big so you don't see a lot of tourists... for the end want to say that next year will go back there again

We landed in Thessaloniki and arrived at the hotel after about 2 hours of waiting and a bus ride. At reception we were immediately charged €36 in tourist tax and were driven to our room in a golf cart. The air conditioning only works with an RFID card (the hotel code is requested, so you can't use a fuel card or anything other than the hotel room card). So we got two cards. :) The air conditioning works well, 5 stars. No insects in the room or on the balcony, but geckos come by and eat the mosquitoes, so no poison, like in other hotels in close proximity to people. Pools are super clean and there is little chlorine in the water, but it is chlorinated every evening, don't stay near it. The fine dust feels like it burns holes in your lungs. Distance is good for your health here too. The sea was fantastic, super clean and warm. The complex was very well maintained. Wi-Fi is free and fast enough everywhere.
But everything has its downsides, even here. The food is rather average. Breakfast with various fruits, but coffee only by the cup and when the waiter asks for it. We annoyed the waiters quite a bit for 3 cups in the morning, but we were not able to fill them ourselves or use jugs, even if we asked or paid for them. In the evening there was a buffet, the food was plentiful, but often of a rather low quality. Lots of fat on the meat, vegetables very oily. Bread and rolls are reminiscent of the GDR. Not necessarily bad, but sometimes a bit crusty or lacking in consistency. Nevertheless, you can fill your stomach. Desserts are actually just sugar in various forms. So it's better to eat lunch outside a little later and have fruit and chips in the evening. Staff are not unfriendly, but not particularly committed. Changing towels for the pool was always a challenge, the young woman was often absent, mentally and physically. Would I book again? Yes, 5 stars is more like 4, but the package is convincing.

We went for a family holiday here and we have been pleasantly surprised from the very beginning. Starting from check-in, where we were greeted with a fresh glass of orange juice and very welcoming reception staff, to the room where we were welcomed with a bottle of wine, a bottle of water and a pack of caramelized peanuts, all prepared for us to have an amazing stay. The rooms were very clean, thank you very much, Mrs Anna, for taking amazing care of our rooms and making an effort to learn our names and greet us with a smile every day. The biggest and most pleasant surprise was at the restaurant, however. Both me and my mother are gluten intolerant, and for the entire stay, Mr Calin (who supervises the cooking and mans the grill) personally took care of us and prepared food that was safe for us to eat for each meal, including pizza for several nights, as well as checking with the pastry chef so we had dessert every evening, thank you so so much for everything! All in all, it was an amazing holiday, and we will definitely think about going back there again soon!

The hotel beach was very well managed (especially Thomas) and the sea was great; food (halfboard) was excellent and chef Calin totally dedicated to serving the guests. One big plus was the free shuttle to and from the beach in electric vehicles; all the staff service was of high value. On the flip side, the mattresses and pillows in the room were less comfortable than one would expect from a 5-star hotel, and the room lights barely supported the use of the facilities, but if one wanted to read something, it was simply not possible.

Scandalous! The cotton stem provided by the hotel is unhooked in the ear! Only one take per room! Medium cleanliness! Buffet bof bof and missing towels every time the housekeeper passes! The staff is quite smiling but it is not a 5 star!!!

An absolutely top hotel with five stars, which are well deserved. The hotel is divided into two parts, an upper and a lower part, connected by a tunnel under the street. Of course, the room with a sea view in the lower part is good value for money. The complex is beautifully laid out with lots of greenery and shade, plenty of parasols and sun loungers, and two pool bars in the lower part. The service is very good, even if you notice the seasonal stress on the staff in the off-season. The breakfast buffet and evening buffet are absolutely great and even if you are spoiled when it comes to food, you will get your money's worth here. In summary: on the whole, everything is fine.

Unfortunately it was not good experience at all and we won’t come back to this hotel. We are family with 2 kids. The rooms are good, the food also but the service is really at very low level and far away from a 5 star hotel. Not to mention the beach where you have to pay the umbrellas - it was strange for us but had to accept it. However there are two Romanian guys - Andrei and Matei who are managing the beach providing umbrellas to guests outside of the hotel but claiming not to do this. Most probably the guys are receiving some extra money because of this and the hotel management has to consider seriously this situation in the future. However I personally saw how they are putting hotel yellow towels on the first raws with umbrellas early in the morning pretending they are for the hotel guests but in reality they are not - thus when you go to the beach after breakfast barely you could find umbrellas on the beach. The guys are proposing you sets on the grass behind the beach 🤨 or umbrellas at the last raws at the beach where the shadow is exactly on the beach path. Of course we complaint to the reception but their answer was always you have to speak with Andrei. It became necessary my husband to ask for an appointment with the hotel manager at some point in order to get an umbrella on the beach which is totally inappropriate and waste of time especially when you are on a holiday. Otherwise the beach is sandy and the sea water is very clean. The hotel has many swimming pools and they are all quite good but at the end we prefer to go to the seaside.
Last but not least during the nights it is very noisy due to the moment all night clubs as Eden of Shaka, Fiji, Ahoy, etc. are only on 5 minutes away from the hotel and you could hear the music even at closed doors and windows 😕

We spent here with the family (2 adults, 3 children) four wonderful days in the autumn holidays. We liked it so much that we will definitely come back.
Hotel: the hotel consists of 2 complexes separated by the coastal road but connected by an underpass within walking distance. The complex is spacious, extremely well maintained, luxurious with everything you expect and need.
Rooms: the children shared a junior suite in threes, we settled for a standard room. To our joyful surprise, there was a free update upon our arrival, so we were moved from the upper complex to the lower complex and had a beautiful sea view from the balcony. The equipment of the rooms is OK, you feel comfortable. The mattresses in particular are top. I would not give 5 stars for this, rather 4.
Beach: very, very nice stretch of beach at the hotel. Fine sandy, turquoise water like in the Caribbean, crystal clear. The beach section is rather unsuitable for long walks on the beach, but it is too small and rugged. But we didn't care, we just wanted to relax and eat well.
Gastronomy: if there were 6 stars, we would award them completely immediately. What the 30-strong kitchen team puts on its feet every day is breathtaking! For years I have been spending around 50 nights a year in Germany and Europe for work reasons, I have not experienced a buffet of this quality (and also quantity). And to be honest, I usually hate buffets. Here everything was at its finest, everything freshly made, everything tasted 1a. From homemade salads, Greek meat and fish dishes, seafood, desserts and cakes of all flavors to live cooking, everything went with 100%
On our day of departure, the hotel behind us virtually closed its doors until April 2025 . Therefore, it is all the higher to be assessed that virtually everyone has delivered 100% up to the last day here.
Just great, we will be back!

Very warm and surprising welcome, especially that we were accommodated in the presidential suite. The staff was very polite, starting from the reception, restaurants, beach bar, spa...Clean rooms, private pool, green gardens, sandy beach... We'll remember the tasty dishes for breakfast and dinner, as well as experience hands of spa treatments. Summary, amazing memories from the stay in Aegean Melathron this September!

me and my partner went for a break, and we really on a whole had a very odd time, and couldn't wait to leave by the end of it. Let me be clear, the outdoor pools was fantastic, the food is great, the beach is fab. Room was alright. Staff are lovely.
But everything else was really not fantastic and not 5 star.
The spa, I honestly went here for the spa. I looked online on the hotels website that was on the QR codes at reception and decided what I wanted. I went in with my partner to book it, and I was basically told that what they offered online wasn't what the did in the spa. I had some man try and sell me and my other half £600s worth of treatments because 'they only do combined packages' we didn't want that and when we was like, no, he instantly was like oh I will do you a price where its like £400. Im not paying what I paid for my whole holiday for a 110 minute spa package. We left, I was gutted. Then to add insult to injury, the back rub I wanted was sold at discount on the day we was leaving at breakfast after being told they didn't offer that. So, thanks guys for that kick in the teeth.
We had ton of ants in our room one night; we had to get room service, there no apology.
There is no method to exchange currency at the hotel, Ive never been to a hotel that doesn't have an exchange. Not everyone that will visit you is in the eurozone. to get cash, we had to go to an ATM outside the hotel, the gate that was next to the ATM was always closed, which was stupid, we would have to jump the fence, or walk a good 15 minutes to this ATM.
Also where we was housed made no sense what so ever. We was housed in the hotel in the top part, that picture, that's on the main tag picture isn't the whole hotel. There was no services at all in the hotel we was placed in. It seemed odd as for the majority of the time we was there, there was very very few people at the hotel. It made no sense. We had to walk a good 5-10 minutes, or hope there was a golf caddy to get breakfast and dinner because the restaurant at our hotel was closed and we also had to walk further, because the only place to get food for lunch was at the beach. Only one bar was open at the top hotel and only did drinks.
The indoor pool which we tried to use when it was raining on our last day, it was absolutely freezing, the room is like an ice box, and the pool was like swimming in an ice bath, it made no sense when you know the weather was going to be questionable.
Excursions, if you love boats, lucky you because that was all that was offered. Lets be clear, Thessaloniki is an hour ish drive. It's the second largest city in Greece. There is so much there, so much history, so much of everything that it's an insult to the region to not offer anything other than boat trips. I would have happily spent my money going to local sites and towns and going out and about on tours, rather than go swimming on a boat.
Also, the mini mart has nothing of any use, go to the place up from the bottom hotel, they do 6 bottles of water for £4. you'll be paying £4 a bottle at the hotel.

It’s a premium option. Most of the rooms don’t have one; you can check the types of the rooms they offer, if you are interested. They offer massage sessions in cabins near beach (at least, that was a case two years ago). Happy travels😄
