We have stayed with Edem Paradise for the last 2 years in a row. We took apartments on the ground floor and enjoyed our stay in Greece. The apartments consist in 2 rooms and a bathroom, with a small kitchenette in the second room, but we took the cooking equipment outside on the terrace, and used it there to avoid heat & moisture in the room. There's a barbecue area available where one can fry the meat or fish The size of the rooms is decent, with enough storage space to keep most of the things out of the way, so we have enjoyed it and came back again, with friends... The ground floor apartments are all facing a nice green area, with olive trees, orange and lemon trees, etc. Very nice environment for an afternoon lazyness :). The pool is not big or too deep, and offered the kids a good place to have fun whenever we did not leave for beaches around or tours of the villages... Access to the Fourka beach within walking distance, likewise to the Fourka center where you can find plenty of restaurants and shops. The best thing with Edem Paradise are Petros (the owner's son) and Achielas (reservations and front-desk). They made our stays with them something we loved. Always helpful, with restaurants, beaches and places to visit recommendations, local markets hints (for fresh & good prices food), making us feel like we're right at home and part of their families. All in all, we have found Edem Paradise to be an excellent base of operations for our 7-10 nights in Greece: * decent sleep conditions and room layout * good pricing point and flexibility * Kassandra highway at 5-7 min drive, never seeing any bottlenecks in traffic, 20 min drive to get off the peninsula. Way better access point compared to Sithonia... * 2 Massoutis supermarkets within 3-5 min drive * Fourka was a quiet and relaxed small city, more appropriate to our needs than the other side of the peninsula where traffic jams and lots of noise was everywhere * friendly and helpful assistance from hotel staff * cleaning every other day * decent Internet access (not sky-rocket speeds, but enough for some YouTube-ing for the kids) * true that there's no meal option available, but you have all you need to draft something on your own or walk to the nearby restaurants... * compared to other locations in the same price range, Edem Paradise has nice people, recurring & decent customers, a pool, parking places on-premise, etc We will surely return as well.

The greatest pros of this place are the garden were the child can play and the pool. The rooms are with "vintage" furniture... even the tv was an old 14" of at least 15-20 years ago. Wi-Fi connection was very slow and also the charging of the mobile in the electric outlet was looking much slower than at my home. The very first day in the kitchen we found a big bug kind of scrabble I think... but I guess it's normal with that big garden like that. There are also mosquito, so close good the door before to go to slip and use some anti mosquito products for the room. The beach in fours is not exceptional, so I advice you to go in Kallitea or at Sunny beach, that are the best beach in the closest.

The house consists of something like 20 rooms and studios with good accomodation conditions. Petros, the son of the owner, is a nice guy being a very good host, as well in the reception as a bartender. There is a medium size swimming pool behind the house with two smaller ones for little children. It is also near to the beach (10 minutes walk) and to various tavernas.

We've been there in June 2014 and absolutely loved it. The pool was great, the garden too, Petros (the owner) is a wonderful man, always trying to help all the guests. We had a 3 person studio which was exactly like most Greek accommodation (not very big, not very small), clean and confortable. The only con is about the location, since it was quite far away from the downtown tavernas and stuff, but we manage to go there by car. Also the beach was 10 minutes walk from our place and it wasn't a spectacular beach, but we could visit more than 8 beaches by car (my favourite was Kriopigi) and didn't care about. We didn't have any troubles with Wi-Fi signal, even in our rooms. Quite good for Facebook or checking mail. We had lunch at different tavernas in Fourkas, so we didn't have any problem with cooked onions and smell. In my opinion, it's a very good place for families with children, of course, if you're not the 5 stars kind of people :)

The garden and the swimming pool were the reasons to choose this hotel - there was enough space for the children to play. The hotel is far from a good beach and from any taverna. The rooms are narrow, the wi-fi signal is poor. The bar by the pool did not work and this was quite disappointing. Many people cook their food there and the smell of burnt oil and fried onion may wake you up in the morning. :-) There were plenty of places to park a car. Petros was a friendly, hardworking and welcoming host. The price is attractive, but the quality does not deserve more.

Pleasant apartments - studio with an additional bedroom. Usual Greek style cooking facilities - ok for simple meals but bring a decent knife. A kettle though would have been good! Lovely pool and good value drinks if needed. Guests were mostly Serbian with well behaved children - a very peaceful place. Beach is a 5 minute walk away. Petros, the owner, is very helpful and even drove us to the nearest ATM as the one in Fourka had been destroyed! Fourka itself is a quiet resort for families with a good beach and lovely clear water. It is suffering a bit with the economic crisis and the excellent restaurants are fairly empty. The two right on the beach are the best but still very good value. Parts of the town are a bit rundown but don't let this put you off. There are enough gift shops to make an enjoyable after dinner stroll.

Absolutely loved this place, highly recommend!! We went there in mid Aug - high season, no beds anywhere! We needed to stay just 1 night and even hotels which had a few rooms available told us they didn't. The hotel owner was an elderly woman who was very friendly (even though she knew little English, mostly German), gave us an apartment just vacated! The apartment was for 4 people, very comfortable, a lovely garden just in front of us! Place to park your car, outside pool, a bench with table in front of each apartment, even a BBQ (shared of course :). I was really thrilled by the place! For 70 EUR (4 people) per night, in the high season this was an excellent place to stay. It's close to the street but was not noisy at all. In general the village of Fourka, Halkidiki is a lovely place to stay... More info and pics on my page http://sitekreator.com/sissa/halkidiki_greece.html
