Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The hostel is a beautiful family home with a huge open living dining room and open kitchen which is great for interacting with other guests. I had the single room which is awesome but the dorms looked good too. They clean the common areas nightly which is very nice. There is only one bath and two toilets but everyone was patient.

I stayed at Crossroads for about 5 days, and from the moment I arrived I felt the welcoming atmosphere in there. The staff group is friendly and helpful, so you can freely talk to them. It's a nice place to chill and talk, you can also meet cool people. I totally recommend it!

I was amazed by hospitality of the staff there. They met me like a best friend. To all travelers, you should take into account that above the hostel there is a spectacular place to enjoy sunsets just next to the ancient medieval tower. Facilities of the hostel are in great condition and moreover, they offer a complimentary beverage for breakfasts. I enjoyed the atmosphere very much and was inspired by the design in the living room. Thanks a lot for such a pleasant experience! In addition there is a great view over the city from a little cosy balcony.

Staff was very friendly ( Joseph especially), and it's located in a perfect spot. We felt secure, and welcomed. Although the streets were too narrow for drivers, its location was perfect. Thanks a lot.

Crossroads is in a lovely building with a very quaint, comfortable feel. The staff was able to accommodate us with a very late check-in due to our late flight. The room was large and had a nice full bed w a connected twin bunk bed. Restrooms/showers were just a few steps down the hall. The shared kitchen and common area were a really great space, open and welcoming. Cleanliness everywhere was top notch. Just in general the staff were quite helpful and spoke English well. I really wish we had more than a night there, I enjoyed the feel and ambience at Crossroads. It's up on the hill a solid 30 minutes walk from the city center and port, and the views from up there are spectacular. It was a great place to stay.

Wonderful, wonderful staff. Their hospitality was overwhelming. It's not a large hostel, only about 12 beds. The beds are in excellent condition. One big plus is that the upper bunk beds are not mounted on the lower bunk beds, but directly on the wall, so you don't feel anything from your 'bunk bed partner'. Very large communal space, a nice front and back balconies. Location: it's not in the city center, but it's in Agios Pavios which is an old area - lots of cool alleys, and above all - near the (former) walls of Thessaloniki and an old guard tower (both are dated to the middle ages), from which a magnificent view overlooking the entire city (it's considerably higher than the city center). You can easily walk downhill to the city center, and take a bus back up.
