My sister and I stayed one night at Bacchus in a suite across the street from the main building. I'm not sure what the hotel rooms are like in the main pension, but the suite was very spacious, although a bit dark and outdated. The suite had a large room with three beds, a separate kitchenette area and bathroom. The...

On the minus side, the place looks nothing like the photos. And it is located in a depressing village a few miles from Olympia. On the plus side, the staff could not be more helpful. The dining room has a lovely roaring fire (at least in November - hopefully not in mid summer!) And the food (and wine!) was really...

The room itself was fine. Bed maybe too soft, but that depends on what you like/ are used to. But the bathroom looked much better in the pictures. There was a huge jacuzzi shower in a tiny bathroom, so there was not much room left for anything else. Unless you have arms growing from your back, it was difficult to...

Really enjoyed our 2 nights at Bacchus, especially the dinners! The room was clean and spacious, although the bed was very hard...as in the hardest in our 3 weeks travelling in the Peloponnese! Breakfast was also not terribly inspirational, which was a little odd considering the two dinners we had were outstanding.

Nice little hotel, clean rooms. Restaurant not good not bad. Beds really hard - would not stay here again just because of the bed. Big plus: you can order decent wine by the bottle - not the regular taverna fare.

This is a family run tavern and is an ideal location to have your food away from the tourist fare that one gets in Olympia. The food was outstanding and prepared with locally procured ingredients. Service was exemplary and the view from the dining area is fabulous.

We stayed here for one night while visiting Ancient Olympia, which is just 5 mins drive away. We found it easily by entering its GPS co-ordinates (helpfully provided by booking.com) into the satnav, but noticed that it was also well-signposted from the main roads (might not be so easy after dark). Our room had a small balcony and the view...

We had a wonderful time at Bacchus, the room was very clean and nicely decorated, there's a beautiful view from the balcony and pool, and the food is excellent! We highly recommand it to anyone who wants to stay in a pittoresque place away from the crowd.

We had only a dinner at the restaurant. I ordered lamb cooked with lemon that was excellent. My child bad some fine meat balls. The view over the vineyard and countryside is lovely and the location is only at 10 minutes drive from the archeological site.

An excellent family business, with lovely views of the surrounding mountains, away from the touristy centre of olympia town.We also enjoyed the home cooked food by the pool! Recommended for summer and winter breaks!
