Hotel Mistral was a really, really nice hotel in a great place. Hydra is quite special - no cars - just donkeys. The hotel was clean & comfortable. Rooms and baths were very nice. Lobby and courtyard where breakfast was served also lovely. Breakfast was delicious and there was lots of it! Theo very graciously served us coffee and dessert... More

OK I could start with the breakfasts....but let me just say a few words about the hotel and its management first. Wonderful friendly people to which nothing is too much trouble and the hotel itself is tucked away in a quiet street just far enough from the port to be very peaceful but only 5 minutes to the centre....OK now... Our charming hosts, Jenny & Theo, made us very welcome. Our room was clean and comfortable, with fresh towels every day. Each morning we were served the most amazing breakfast outside in the attractive courtyard, so much to eat lunch wasn't necessary. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Hydra at Hotel Mistral.

My grown daughter and I stayed here for two nights while visiting Hydra and were thrilled with every aspect of the experience. Hotel Mistral is quaint and charming, quiet and comfortable. The rooms are spacious; the bathroom had been recently updated; and the water pressure compares favorably to home. The owners are friendly and helpful, providing good advice on local... More

Hotel Mistral is like being "at home". It's family run in a refurbished mansion; Jenny and Theo are warm and welcoming. The rooms are spacious, clean, and light. Great shower with good water pressure. Fresh towels each day. Perfect location, easy walk from the harbor and close to a very popular local taverna. Very quiet. The outdoor breakfast area is... A more charming place I am yet to come across. Wonderful hospitality, delightful decor, beautiful garden, not too far from the sea but back just enough to be peaceful. The international breakfast will definitely set you up for the day, my favourite being the eggs with spinach and leak, half Eggs Florintine, half Eggs Llandudno, perhaps, very satisfying in any... At the beginning I could not understand why the excellent reviews in Tripadvisor, somehow the hotel seemed quite regular, but once you stay there you realize that the hotel is so comfortable and quiet. Excellent service in every aspect. Very friendly and helpful receptionist!! (I wish I remembered her name). The breakfast was the best!!

The only slightly negative I can find is the shower. Awkward and small. But the location of hotel is charming. Courtyard and reception area are excellent. Owners and staff are friendly and genuinely helpful. Breakfasts are over the top ( skip lunch) and delicious. Hope to return one day. We lucked into this hotel after reading reviews on line and... What a clean and friendly place to stay. 5 minutes walk to the port. Beautiful garden. Extraordinary breakfast with 10 course tasting menu served at the table and changing every day. Great couple hosting you. Value for money too. I ll go back next year.

Hotel Mistral was a welcoming surprise! Hydra Island is car-less with no roads, but we were met at our ferry by a gentleman who loaded our luggage on a cart and took them (in two trips) to the hotel. The hotel itself is located off the main thoroughfare and we walked there through lovely, narrow walkways, passing beautiful courtyards of... More
