Last stayed here 2 years ago, coming in Covid time to somewhere that felt normal was lovely. Full Covid procedures - sanitiser everywhere, 2m notices, staff in masks, maid not entering your room to clean unless you requested it (which could be daily), breakfast buffet served individually by staff. Clean, simply furnished rooms, the whole hotel had quite clearly been repainted from top to bottom since our last visit. Outside space is great - bar sitting area inside and out with sofas, another lounge by Reception, nice pool with stunning views, outside dining area and down the steps, privtae beach. These areas have always been 'socially distanced' as chairs and sunbeds were never close together to start with! Ignore comments about not accessible as a lift is planned for 2021 (work started but was delayed by Covid), although there will still be steps to go down to access the beach, so call the hotel to check if the lift is installed before booking. No restaurant for the evening (home-made Greek cooking available at lunchtimes) but plenty of restaurants in Askeli or a short walk/cab/scooter ride into town.

We found this hotel as we were scouting for beach hotels on an island not too far from Athens (3 hours ferry maximum).
From the first exchanges of emails until the checkout, it was a great experience!

The hotel is 5 min away (taxi ride) from the port of Poros, which is a couple of hours away from Pireaus, so very accessible. We had a family room which included 2 separate bedrooms with one bath, and a large balcony with a amazing sea view. The hotel is extremely clean, the staff is always there with a smile to respond to any of our needs.
Breakfast was copious, with sufficient variety and the children were always happy to have adequate choice.
The pool was wonderful and access to the sea very easy and secure. Our children (3, 10 and 13) were safely going back and forth between the beach and the pool, and we never had to worry, because everything is right there! The sea is really perfect with children to play and for adults to swim. The water couldn't be more transparent and there were always enough sunbeds available to take advantage of the sun!
We had lunch and dinner at the restaurant of the hotel several times during our 10-day stay. This place is the best restaurant we had tried in Askeli!!! The food is freshly prepared and the portions are very, very generous: largest portion ever of pastitsio, 20 grilled sardines in one order when other restaurant had only 8 of them for more money!
The hotel is walking distance from all you need: small supermarket, water sports, different tavernas, bicycles rental, the small boat that takes you to Poros...
We will recommend that place to all our friends who want a fantastic and affordable vacation in Greece in a great place!

Always had good experiences at this family-run hotel, here 3 times in last 4 years. Clean (with Greece govt. Covid protocols, room cleaned only when you give permission, you just have to ask, they will do every day if requested, communal areas spotless, beach beds cleaned and disinfected and rubbish collected - I saw it being done). A couple of minor issues this time with room fixed instantly no quibble, always helpful friendly staff. Granted decor is not like Athens hotels minimalist/modern and no tea/coffee/kettle in room, so if that's what you want, not for you. The USP here is the fantastic views of Askeli bay and across the Saronic Gulf and the outside space.. all rooms have a private balcony, most with sea views, great lounge bar/outside bar area (pretty much empty even when the hotel is full), nice pool, private beach, they've not changed anything with 'social distancing' as was never crammed together in the first place. Breakfast adequate but plenty of other places in Askeli or an easy 20 minutes walk into town if you want to ring the changes. Good home cooked food at lunchtime, not expensive. Very popular with Athenians (only 2 hours drive from there), we love it too, hence why we keep coming back.

We loved this hotel so much we changed our plans to go elsewhere and stayed put. Clean, comfortable and welcoming. Right ontop of a great little private beach. The rooms aren't plush but really clean and functional with terrific balconies onto the water. Great views. No loud music, really relaxing. The bar and restaurant at the hotel are great and the food is really delicious and very well priced. It's a quick walk to several nice bars and restaurants in the village or a short drive into town with all that offers. We loved this place and will return. The staff and owner are super welcoming and helpful.

We arrived late in the evening as we unfortunately had a funeral to attend in Poros.

When we opened the room it smelt very bad (412). The balcony door would not lock. The floors were gritty underfoot as it had not been cleaned.

The fridge was off.

For us, the state of the room was a shock as we used to stay at Golden View frequently many years ago. Very disappointed.

George and staff are friendly and helpful but the room must be clean especially with Covid.

During our stay I had the chance to meet Giorgo the owner of this lovely hotel with its private beach. Very well maintained, Super clean and very polite service. We spent a relaxed weekend and for sure we will come again. Situated close to the port of Poros which by the way is a very pleasant ride from Athens. In just 2 and a half hours you are on an island and in a great hotel.

What an absolute GEM!!!
I cannot speak highly enough about this hotel and its staff. We are staying here at the moment and loving every minute. This beats most 4 star hotels I have stayed in hands down!!! Location is superb, views are to die for, staff are so friendly. Food quality is great. We will definitely return

No, people have to wear masks only outside of the hotel and not in the pool or the beach. Also these mesures are in force only until Monday morning August 17.
