Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

My wife and I have just spent ten nights at Odyssey Suites and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone. We were accommodated in one of the split-level maisonettes with a bathroom on both levels and a small kitchenette on the ground floor. There is a balcony on both levels with the upper level having a large day bed to sit and watch the sun go down with a glass of wine.
Now - FOOD! The standard of catering is always high at Odyssey. The breakfast will set you up for the day with fruit, yoghurt, bread, pastries and cooked eggs of your choice. Then in the evening the Bistro will serve authentic and high quality Greek cuisine - this isn’t “chips with everything” type touristy fare, but freshly cooked food made with local ingredients (some from their own farm) by highly skilled cooks. And if you want to learn how it’s done, then they hold regular cooking classes which are very informative as well as being great fun!
Further afield the beach with beautifully clean water is just a 100m walk down the hill. The lovely town of Poros is either a 20 minute walk or a 5 minute taxi ride away with multiple restaurants and shops.
We flew into Athens and then caught the very efficient and clean “Fastcat” ferry from Piraeus directly to Poros for about £35 each which was a very comfortable experience (the same ferry will take you on to Hydra if you want a day trip to another very beautiful island).
So go and experience the true hospitality and wonderful catering provided from Dora, Vangellis and Katerina along with their lovely staff at Odyssey.

I booked with Meraki Expeditions, two weeks in apartment #4. I can’t speak highly enough of how special this entire stay was. It is more than home away from home with every bit of real, charming hospitality as it gets. It was the perfect space for a couple of friends but with plenty of room and privacy. Its spirited, decadent yet traditional feel, as natural light filters through the patio beckons you to sit and enjoy a glass of wine and meze.

They have everything—cold air condition, luxurious beds and warm showers with mini fridge and kitchenette styles in the efficiencies.
Every accommodation you could ever need is right there, including breakfast spreads fit for royalty, late night snack bars, fresh farm bounty offered daily, juice, coffees and dinners served with love that leave you wanting more but satisfied beyond dreams. Of

You are literally steps away from the water and anything you need is within walking distance from water sports, ATV rentals, beaches, churches, dining, shopping, nightlife, endless exploring and activities for all ages! Interested in offshore diving, they’ll look it up for you. Need a cab? They’ll call it. Help you find directions? No worries! (Thank you, Dora for downloading Google maps for me by the way.) Need to have an epi-pen ordered for an emergency? Done. Maybe just a morning hug and a friendly smile? They have it aplenty.

Whatever it is, they are always more than helpful to find and make it happen!

Ohh Poros, how your vibrant world has changed me—your beautiful people, delectable cuisine that lingers softly on the tongue; fresh, rich, nourishing mind body and soul..Tucked away in a landscape of true visual delight, enriching the whole heart, dancing the spirit and embraced in the loving warmth of a turquoise, Mediterranean paradise. It is no surprise why so many have painted this part of Greece as it is a rare gem kissed by the heavens.

Dearest Katerina, thank you for opening your arms and welcoming me, sharing your history, heritage and home. Thank you, beautiful Dora, Maria, Michelle and to ALL the staff at Odyssey, and of course Mary Horner of Meraki Expeditions for guidance in arranging this stay with years of knowledge and seeking out only the best of Greece.

To all of you on Poros Island—this experience of a lifetime will forever be etched into my soul. I arrived a traveler and left feeling like family and I look forward to returning.

Big love to you my friends!

We booked it as a package with friends which included kayaking and Greek cooking lessons. Had been here 10 years ago. Although wonderful then, rooms were upgraded and beautifully decorated. You can get a food included package or eat elsewhere. Food at Odyssey restaurant is exceptional. Staff goes out of their way to make sure you have a memorable stay.

Spring is close and if you are thinking about a vacation away this Summer you can book your ticket now! Odyssey Suites on Poros Island is idyllic with all that it has to offer. Run by the most beautiful, caring family and superb staff, you will want for nothing at Odyssey. From the pristine rooms and amazing menu at the Bistro, you will not find anywhere else worth comparing. I stayed at Odyssey the year it opened, 25 years ago, and have remained a top fan. I bring guests quite often and some return 3-4 times! Just a stone’s throw from the sea, Poros is an easy island to explore and the sunsets are breathtaking. Odyssey is more than a home away from home. It is majestic. Do something for yourself and book your room. It will change your life!

We came to this place completely by chance and found a treasure! Perfect atmosphere, kind and warm staff - you feel that everyone loves what they do. All with a big smile. The room is pampering, the location is great, and the food is cooked with love - the best quality food we tasted on the island. We will definitely come back here. Highly recommend Odyssey.

Travelled to Poros in July for a wedding. This is the 1st time I've visited the Island and I absolutely love the place. Stayed at Odyssey Suites for 2 weeks & it has to be 1 of the best places I've stayed. The service was amazing, Dora and the staff simply can't do enough for their guests, nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are really quaint with touches of "Greece', comfortable and well equipped.
The location is perfect for the water taxi & beach (where there is a pontoon with numerous water sports) and there are many other lovely restaurants within easy walking distance.

Thank you all for a brilliant 2 weeks, we will be back x

Overall a good room with nice decoration. However, the lower space was small enough so that the two children barely fit. Also there was a partial lack of cleanliness so we needed to do some things ourselves. Disproportionate to some extent the price-quality ratio

We had the most amazing afternoon and evening at Odyssey. The cooking class was absolutely fantastic and we would recommend to anyone who comes to the island to do it too. The staff were beyond welcoming, so friendly, so knowledgeable on the island. Everything was simply perfect and I urge everyone to go!!

A wonderful and tasteful house. Stylish and very clean rooms. Generous breakfast and great food. Perfect value for money. Dora, the landlady, is a ray of sunshine and very attentive, as is Elina in the service. We felt very, very comfortable.

We stayed to celebrate the wedding of my son and daughter in law. All arranged by Dora at Odyssey. She arranged hairdresser, flowers, decorations, reception and cake. A wonderful welcome, wedding on the beach and fabulous food to follow. Rooms are lovely, clean and working air conditioning a must in sunny Greece. They could not have done more for us.
Breakfast was also fantastic- help yourself and so much choice!
Thank you so much.
