Dear guests, welcome to the island of Skopelos and to Hotel Elli. Our hotel is a family owned business that was built and started operating in 1986 from John and Elli Doubioti. The hotel is built in traditional "Pelion" style architecture and decor with strong elements of wood and stone. It is one of the first hotels that started operating on the island of Skopelos and it remains until today one of the most warm and hospitable. During the winter of 2009 our hotel has been renovated in order to offer more and better facilities to its guests. After the renovation it has 22 rooms and an mini-suite. All of our rooms have air-conditioning, TV, hair dryer, mini fridge, telephone and a safe. Our hotel also offers wireless internet access.

I'm a little baffled by the negative reviews. We stayed at Elli in August and arrived hot, late and very tired. Alex was so welcoming, helping us with our bags and even nipping off to get us two ice cold beers and bringing them to the room which were very much appreciated. Elli is about a 10 minute walk into town so pretty central and very good value for the location. We had a really nice breakfast the next day and relaxed by the pool which was deserted and very welcome in the heat. The rooms are traditionally greek which is something we wanted so no it's not 5 star but I would struggle to criticise them as they were incredibly clean with modern bathrooms, we even had a little balcony overlooking the pool. All the workers there were so lovely we got to know them all during our 5 nights here and they really looked after us. The courtyard is beautiful under the trees and we spent a lot of time sitting there in the evenings whilst they fetched us whatever drinks we wanted. I would stay here again without any hesitation. We'll be back for sure. Thanks Alex and company for looking after us so well.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in August 2017. The rooms were a reasonable size and were cleaned daily. The room had a balcony which overlooked an orchard. The location of the hotel was good - it was a brisk 10 minute walk into town which we did several times a day! The hotel staff were very helpful. There was constant fast wifi in the rooms as well. The breakfast was okay and one could have it outside (but beware of the bees!). There was also a shop opposite the hotel which sold everything! The only problem was mosquitos in the rooms so I would recommend buying some spray. A very nice hotel!

Stayed at ELLI's for 2 days with wife and daughter, in AUgust 2012. Nice hotel, stone-dressed, cosy rooms (average size) and a pool just outside (with a diving vault!). Pleasant and helpful staff (Areti runs the place), trying to help.
Breakfast is Greek typical (buffet) but would prefer a few local accents (like fruits. omelet and Skopelos pie)
Can get to Port (and all other locations) within 10 min walk!
The Mini-Market just across the road is handy!

To sum up our stay there (4 nights at a rate of 90 €/night) I would say:

(+) The pool is clean and open from 0900 to 2300. Not many people use it as Skopelos has great beaches, so it was always exclusively used
(+) Quiet surroundings, next to a mini market, parking space was never a problem.

(-) The safe in our room was not working. After we contacted the receptionist, she gave us a key that didn't solve the problem. She told us that they would check it later when we leave. Nothing was done to solve this problem, nor any explanation was given.
(-) The water pressure of the shower was really weak, and for someone with long hair, showering is surely a problem.
(-) The toilet flush was always running a little bit, and so as to refill it you had to wait for a very long time. After the first day we didn't bother waiting and used the shower to fill it.
(-) Breakfast was somewhat inadequate. Not many options, most things were cold, and not covered by any means. The last day, there were a lot of ants on the table and the staff only covered with a towel the bread.
(-) Condensated milk and juice and not fresh were given.
(-) Our last day they didn't mind to refill the toilet paper. We were lucky to have one ours as extra, because they probably found it too expensive.
(-) The TV seemed to be from the 90's, small screen and bad quality.
(-) There wasn't a simple bin on the main room, only the bathroom had a small one.

(N) Mattresses were hard, it depends on the person if he likes them this way.
(N) Not all balconies are the same size, the front ones are considerably larger.

We stayed at the Elli in early June and found the hotel satisfactory.
The hotel is in a residential part of Skopelos town about an easy 7 minute walk to the port and old town. We found the hotel comfortable clean and well managed and the breakfast typical of Greek Hotels of this standard.
There is a minii mart opposite the hotel, the pool is good with plenty of sun beds, although swimming is not allowed between 2.00pm and 5.00pm, which we found a bit inconvenient.
We stayed in a junior suite which we was quite a good size and would suggest selecting a suite as some of the standard rooms were smaller.
The hotel has wireless internet which we were allowed to use at no cost.

Since we had to change the dates of our stay, the only available room was a triple room. However, as we could verify, it had the same size of the double room next door -which was not very spacious anyways-. Our room would have barely fit two people and I would never recommend it for three people, not even if he/she was a child. Furthermore, the TV did not work (we just wanted to check the Olymipic games results, but still..) Breakfast was OK (nice homemade cakes and jams) but the quality of coffee, juices and yogurt was poor.
Wi fi connection worked in the reception corner only.
Notwithstanding the efficiency of the staff and the cleanliness, we cannot rate this hotel more than average. We later found much better (and renovated) accommodations for a lower price: 105 euros per night for a two stars hotel is definetively too much.

We stayed at elli hotel for 5 nights. The room was cleaned well every day. Also, every two days we got our towels changed. The breakfast was great, very fresh and there was a variety of things. We didn't try the pool. 4 stars because it was a bit noisy due to the main road at its front, lack of parking and due to the fact that the cleaning staff let the balcony door open.

Located close to the busy restaurants on the port, this family friendly hotel was ideal for our stay in Skopelos. Breakfast in the courtyard was homely and the staff attentive to our sons allergies to eggs and nuts. Our room was spacious with a modern bathroom and a small balcony. Hire a car to explore the island and the wonderful Kastani beach.
