Dear guests, welcome to the island of Skopelos and to Hotel Elli. Our hotel is a family owned business that was built and started operating in 1986 from John and Elli Doubioti. The hotel is built in traditional "Pelion" style architecture and decor with strong elements of wood and stone. It is one of the first hotels that started operating on the island of Skopelos and it remains until today one of the most warm and hospitable. During the winter of 2009 our hotel has been renovated in order to offer more and better facilities to its guests. After the renovation it has 22 rooms and an mini-suite. All of our rooms have air-conditioning, TV, hair dryer, mini fridge, telephone and a safe. Our hotel also offers wireless internet access.

I'm a little baffled by the negative reviews. We stayed at Elli in August and arrived hot, late and very tired. Alex was so welcoming, helping us with our bags and even nipping off to get us two ice cold beers and bringing them to the room which were very much appreciated. Elli is about a 10 minute walk into town so pretty central and very good value for the location. We had a really nice breakfast the next day and relaxed by the pool which was deserted and very welcome in the heat. The rooms are traditionally greek which is something we wanted so no it's not 5 star but I would struggle to criticise them as they were incredibly clean with modern bathrooms, we even had a little balcony overlooking the pool. All the workers there were so lovely we got to know them all during our 5 nights here and they really looked after us. The courtyard is beautiful under the trees and we spent a lot of time sitting there in the evenings whilst they fetched us whatever drinks we wanted. I would stay here again without any hesitation. We'll be back for sure. Thanks Alex and company for looking after us so well.…

Elli Hotel is a local family run hotel. The amenities and rooms are basic but just fine. The staff were all very friendly. The rooms were spotless. The pool was fantastic and just what we needed after long days out walking in the heat. The hotel has character and charm, but if you are after 5 star luxury it will not be for you. The room has vintage "brown" furniture and at first sit on the bed it felt very hard but was comfortable to sleep on. The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful - assisting with luggage, and Alexis on the front desk even phoned around searching for my special water bottle that I managed to lose on the first day :( He also called taxis and recommended the best beaches for us. Being a holiday destination, breakfast was available 8-10. On our last day we had to leave at 6am. The staff got up early to prepare breakfast for us. The breakfast was delicious, including just-made pastries. It is located up the hill behind the main town/waterfront. We had a 15-20 minute walk (exercise period) up and down hills to get to the port. We quite enjoyed this as you go through charming houses and shops, getting some amazing views along the way. There are restaurants nearby if you don't feel like going to town and a small shop that sells almost everything directly opposite. I would certainly return. We had a very relaxing 6 days with lots of time sitting in the breezy, immaculate courtyard. Gorgeous.…

A complete waste of money. Dirty rooms, old furniture, unhelpful staff and owners. It was so dirty, we could not wait to leave the hotel. My suitcase one day was very wet, as if the staff spilled water in it when I was gone... I do not recommend it at all.

The photos on their webiste were very misleading as the rooms were actually in a very bad condition. The showers were not clean and when we entered our rooms thrre was still trash from the customers before us. The curtain rods of the room and the bathroom fell of on the 1st day and the rooms had a terrible smell coming from the shower drain. The staff and owners avoided coming in contact with us when we tried to talk to them.

The bathroom trash from the previous guests were still in our bathroom when we moved in. Also, dirty floors and horrible bathroom smells that filled the room. Very old hotel, with old furniture that collapse. No water pressure at all, so you could not shower. The owner would not return our calls to fix the situation. Ruined our vocation! Don’t stay there...

We stayed here for 4 nights and had a room overlooking the lovely pool. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable with a small fridge. Shower was excellent which isn't always the case in Greece. Lovely breakfast with plenty of choice under the shade of a large tree and beautifully tended patio with citrus trees. There is some road noise but as there is aircon this isn't an issue at night. Drying rack on balcony which is useful and hairdyer in bedroom.Very friendly staff. I'd thoroughly recommend Elli.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in August 2017. The rooms were a reasonable size and were cleaned daily. The room had a balcony which overlooked an orchard. The location of the hotel was good - it was a brisk 10 minute walk into town which we did several times a day! The hotel staff were very helpful. There was constant fast wifi in the rooms as well. The breakfast was okay and one could have it outside (but beware of the bees!). There was also a shop opposite the hotel which sold everything! The only problem was mosquitos in the rooms so I would recommend buying some spray. A very nice hotel!

Since we had to change the dates of our stay, the only available room was a triple room. However, as we could verify, it had the same size of the double room next door -which was not very spacious anyways-. Our room would have barely fit two people and I would never recommend it for three people, not even if he/she was a child. Furthermore, the TV did not work (we just wanted to check the Olymipic games results, but still..) Breakfast was OK (nice homemade cakes and jams) but the quality of coffee, juices and yogurt was poor. Wi fi connection worked in the reception corner only. Notwithstanding the efficiency of the staff and the cleanliness, we cannot rate this hotel more than average. We later found much better (and renovated) accommodations for a lower price: 105 euros per night for a two stars hotel is definetively too much.…

Hotel Elli is - for me - one of the best options to stay at Skopelos town. + Beautiful lovely rooms great breakfast area and "garden" absolut friendly & helpful staff (had a problem with a chair on the balcony and the tv conrol. was solved after we came back from the beach) very very clean 5 min from the center no parking problems the breakfast was typical greek basic as expected and known you are on the ring road to all the beaches - (should be easy to fix) please, fix your wifi ;) water pressure in the bathroom neutral balcony size is a little to small on the corner rooms the ring road that passes the hotel could be too loud for someone (for me ok)

We stayed at elli hotel for 5 nights. The room was cleaned well every day. Also, every two days we got our towels changed. The breakfast was great, very fresh and there was a variety of things. We didn't try the pool. 4 stars because it was a bit noisy due to the main road at its front, lack of parking and due to the fact that the cleaning staff let the balcony door open.
