We arrived on a late Sunday afternoon only to discover that there was no food to be had in the hotel. Reception: "the restaurants are closed on Sunday." Me: "can you recommend a place that is open?" Reception: "walk towards the center city. There will be open places there." This is not what I expect from a four star hotel. Also, the bedside tables are too small to hold a laptop and a glass. Never again.
We stayed for two nights in the middle of July. The Odeon Hotel is a new addition to the city, with a location that cannot be beat. While the location impresses, the rest of the hotel doesn't quite. It's already off to weird start when we're unpacking and a housekeeper let herself into the room without knocking. We stayed in a "Lux" room, and quickly concluded that some questionable design choices has been made. There is no closet or drawer space, so we couldn't really unpack and had to leave much of our clothes in the suitcase. The shower isn't lowered enough, so when you shower half the floor ends up flooding. That or the plumbing is clogged. Either way, not cool. Pillows and blankets are subjective, but I found the pillow to be far too "chunky" for my tastes. What really detracts from our visit was the fact our room was not cleaned. We left the room after breakfast at 10:30 and returned at 20:00 to find the 'Please clean my room' hanger still on the doorknob. On speaking to the reception about this, we were told housekeeping had left for the day, but that we could get a packet of fresh towels - which we certainly needed after using our old ones to clean up the water spillage from the shower. The breakfast selection isn't extensive, but what is on offer was excellent. Would we book a room here again? Probably not, coming back to a room that wasn't cleaned after wandering the city thin the whole day was a sour experience.…
We just spent the night at Odeon in Odense and had a great experience both the level of service from all staff and the quality of the rooms and cleanliness. The hotel is located in the centre of Odense in a great new quarter of the city, really nice. The single rooms are quite compact, so perhaps consider that if you are travelling alone for more than 1 night. Although the standard doubles aren´t massive, they are nicely decorated and it doesn´t matter so much :-) The rooms and in fact the entire hotel are beautifully designed and decorated. We will definately be going back there again, we can highly recommed it.
Very clean and comfortable room with very good bed. Nice staff, good breakfast. Really close to the concert hall. The city center is reachablle with a short walk. Big underground parking. Absolutely a nice experience!
I stay here every second week. Hotel and rooms are well maintained and clean, really nice. The rooms are ok for a night or 2, there is a coat hook for a couple of hangers but no shelf or wardrobe. Breakfast is good, buffet style, some eggs every morning. For now, I never had a room with traffic noise. In summer, you may have people sitting and talking outside until late but this can happy everywhere. The tramway is actually under construction, one side of the building seems to lead to the tram. So depending on the schedule, you may have some noise as of 2021
