We travelled as a group of 4 for a long weekend over the new year. This hotel could not be any better I was so worried before coming because of some of the negative comments but the hotel was in the best location! The staff were so friendly helping us navigate around and giving us recommendations for restaurants and things...

The Phoenix is a three star hotel at best. Quality of rooms way below standard for a four star. My room was old and shabby - electrical extension cables laid across the floor, cabling for TV crudely stick to the wall, no heating controls. The bathroom was the worst - no heating so it was FREEZING in the morning, and...

I read the reviews of this hotel, so was not really looking forward to the stay, but as my meeting was at the hotel, it was just easier to stay there. There were no surprises. As the other reviews have said,my room was certainly old and not particularly enjoyable. I am sure you can find better for the money. Not...

The location of Phoenix is really great and in a nice area, just a couple of minutes to the Metro and Magasin du Nord. We stayed in a Standard room and I have to say it was a bit cramped and outdated. Our room also had issues with the toilet (would only flush occasionally), the floor heating in the bathroom...

Very good location near to the centre, with nearby metro stop and good bus links. Friendly and helpful reception staff. We paid €10/ 100kr. for an upgrade to a junior suite, and this was well worth it: comfortable and well fitted out room. Apparently they are half way through a refit, so make sure you get one of the refurbished...

I prefer this hotel as it is at walking distance from places of interest be it work or leisure. The rooms are small and if you have a travel chcek in luggage then there is hardly any space to move around. They also now have In room Breakfast option which I think is a good idea.

The first room they tried to give us had people already in it. I put the key in the door and opened it to a couple lying in bed. It scared me quite a bit but I couldn't imagine how those poor people felt! The second room they gave us was tiny and dingy with paint peeling all over the...

Hairs in the bed, toilet and bathroom. VERY small rooms, had to put a chair in the wardrobe and 2 in the window just to be able to get 3 suitcases in the room. There is no lift, so you have to carry your own suitcases up and down 10 stairs. Nowhere near 4 stars. Dents in doors, light bulbs...

Neighbourhood Profile
Indre By (Inner City)
This is the heart of old town Copenhagen, with its blend of charming old buildings and bold new architecture, broad avenues and tiny streets as well as picturesque canals and a modern harbor. The inner city is home to the Royal Danish Theatre, which consists of three buildings, two of which are new and situated on the harbor front. The streets, squares and venues of the inner city and its surrounding neighborhoods, are alive all year round with everything from jazz festivals to outdoor ice skating rinks and parachuting at the lakes right in the center of the city. This compact area boasts beautiful old castles, tranquil parks, and bustling squares where you can always find a bench to stretch out your legs whenever you need a break.
