The staff was nice. Good location, in walking distance to all attractions. The rooms are quite small. The bed was a little uncomfortable. The bath room needs a renovation. Guest computers with internet at the reception was free almost all the time. Delicious breakfast, however expensive.

We stayed here in January and had a wonderful time. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk (10 if you're dragging luggage behind you!) from Kongens Nytorv metro station. Getting from the airport to here couldn't be easier. If you *are* apprehensive about getting lost, Google Street view has you covered! On the way from the metro to the...

I had a great stay at the Phoenix hotel. I paied a little bit extra to get upgraded and got a spacious room with a nice view of Copenhagen's roof tops. I had an excellent sleep. I ordered room service and had an excellent hamburger and dessert - very happy with the food (I like to order in when I...

I stayed in the Phoenix Copenhagen over the new period with a friend of mine and when we first arrived I was surprised to find that there was no doorman to assist anyone carrying their suitcase up to the reception as there were two flights of stairs before you reached it. I honestly do not know how anyone who is...

We stayed in the Phoenix from the 2nd December to the 4th December and we found the hotel to be excellent value for Copenhagen. Sure the rooms are of an average standard and could do with a "refresh" but for the price we paid they served thier purpose. Clean sheets, clean bathroom. My sister and husband had upgraded, which meant...

The hotel is really central, and you can early go around in Copenhagen from there. The entrance is really nice, and one thinks to be in a high class hotel. The problem are the room, extremely small, old, with few power outlets and with the old Danish standard. Another problem are the stairs, everywhere! And no elevator go in. The...

Lovely entrance to the hotel, with very clean, pleasant and classy foyer/reception area. Was on a very very flying visit to CPN so didn't get to spend much time either in the city or at the hotel, but the location of Phoenix Copenhagen seemed to be very good. As with most people in Copenhagen, the staff were exceptionally service focused,...

I stayed here on a 3 day business trip. I am small - but the room I had on the 3rd floor was so minute and so claustrophobic. There was no room to swing a cat. My colleagues had equally small rooms. To get air at night by opening the windows to my garret meant being overlooked by my neighbours...

We've stayed at Phoenix 2 times before when having company parties (since we live 55 km away, work is just around the corner). First time the room was very small, up under the roof - my partner (196 cm height) could not stand up next to the bed. Second time (december 2010) we got an upgrade, to a nice big...

THE POSITIVES of this hotel: The location is excellent, most of the heart of Copenhagen is within walking distance, and it’s a short walk to the metro. The room was quiet except for noise through the doors; we did not hear any noise from the room next to ours, but we could hear conversations outside our door. The bed was...

Neighbourhood Profile
Indre By (Inner City)
This is the heart of old town Copenhagen, with its blend of charming old buildings and bold new architecture, broad avenues and tiny streets as well as picturesque canals and a modern harbor. The inner city is home to the Royal Danish Theatre, which consists of three buildings, two of which are new and situated on the harbor front. The streets, squares and venues of the inner city and its surrounding neighborhoods, are alive all year round with everything from jazz festivals to outdoor ice skating rinks and parachuting at the lakes right in the center of the city. This compact area boasts beautiful old castles, tranquil parks, and bustling squares where you can always find a bench to stretch out your legs whenever you need a break.
