Loved this hotel, really helpful staff with a lovely atmosphere. Location was ideal for Tivoli and many of the main attractions, plus less than 5min walk from one of the new M3 stations! We had a standard double room which was plenty big enough as was the bathroom, sure there are bigger rooms out there if you want to pay more but for us this was perfect. The room was spotlessly clean with great attention to detail and so comfortable, being able to open the hotel room door with my phone (Aero app) was very cool too. Our room was on the 4th floor and faced the courtyard and we had no noise at all, never needed the ear plugs we packed (just in case). Free wine hour was great, a really nice perk and meant we ended up staying in the hotel longer after and spending money with them. We would definitely stay here next time we go to Copenhagen :)

All the pictures online look Fantasic, but we found our room small , the bed must have been a small double , with 2 single duvets. Bathroom was functional Bonus being you could be on the toilet and have a shower at the same time.
The hotel runs a wine hour 5-6 where you can hygee and enjoy a free glass or 2 of wine.
Breakfast I felt was expensive with additional cost if you wanted bacon or eggs.

Hotel Danmark is in a great location just 10 minute walk from central station and right in the centre of town. They offer a complementary wine hour and have a roof top bar for guests and non guests to enjoy.

Unfortunately that’s where my positives end. The hotel is small and tired. My room was so small the sink was in the main bedroom. The room itself was not cleaned with many surfaces extremely dusty. The room also doesn’t have fridge facilities which meant no where to store food or drinks during the stay. There are mobile air conditioning units in the rooms which need to be on due to how hot rooms get but this is not good for skin or health. The rooms are also not quiet with lift and road noise a constant presence.

A real let down is that the hotel doesn’t have a restaurant. I arrived at lunchtime and asked for a food menu and was told by reception they didn’t have one. I think the hotel is trying to be too many things and is more focused on the wine bar than running a hotel. This also affected my check in experience waiting behind several people who had drinks orders rather than checking into rooms.

I would not rebook or recommend this hotel.

The location is very good, and the room itself was very nice, clean and comfy, but the service was not what you would expect from a 4 stars hotel. Or from any hotel for that matter.
We had a Junior Suite, a bit pricy but it was supposed to come with a range of services but in fact, we struggled to get any of that and everything ended up being a hassle, even basic things like getting a coffee.
There were no coffee facilities in the room, there was a kettle but neither tea or coffee, but we were supposed to be able to call from 7 to 23 to get any water or coffee, or wine we wanted. But the staff was not very friendly and had to be reminded all the time that what we asked for was part of the package, discouraging us to use any of the advertised advantages. Sunday morning, calling at 9 for coffee, were told there was no one at reception, so we had to either wait until 10 or pick it up ourselves.
Breakfast à la carte was also supposed to be included, but when we got to the breakfast room, we were first told that it wasn't, then showed what it said on website and we were told that yes, but then we could choose either one of the top-up items from the à la carte menu, or the buffet, but not both...
We were made to feel the entire time like we were being difficult when asking for things we actually did pay for (and did not get), making it a very unpleasant experience overall.
I should mention however that the breakfast staff was friendly, smiling and actually trying to help though.

The hotels looks great on the outside and has all the necessary amenities that one can ask for. The rooftop bar is excellent and a great addition to the casual cocktail scene of Copenhagen.

The hotel however, has some issues. Started with the “clever” online checkin that we were encouraged to use the day before the physical checkin. It did not work and dis not generate a mobile key nor checkin confirmation. It did however reserve the money on my credit card… After a few minutes on the phone with the reception, I was advised to check in physically instead.

The room itself was small, but cute. A little weird to have the sink in the bedroom and not the bathroom, but a clever solution to space limitation. The air con was loud and didn’t seem to really work that well. Instead we went for an open window which worked fine.

After a nice dinner in town, we came back to the hotel to grab a drink and snack before bedtime. I was shocked to find that there were “guests” who were allowed to bring McDonald’s food and eat it in the lobby bar. Honestly I have never seen anything like it. When I asked the guests about their decision to disrespect hotel rules and pollute the upscale lobby bar ambiance with the smell of fries and Big Macs they simply said that they were hungry and that no one had told them that they couldn’t do it. I asked the bartender/receptionist who confirmed they did not have a policy against bringing outside food to the bar… Not worthy of the price and class of the hotel if you ask me. I quickly packed up our French 75s to the room, seeking to catch a late night movie on the television. Unfortunately the television did not work, and the remote control was nowhere to be found. I tried calling the reception from the room phone, but that too what out of order. Annoyed with the lack of functioning amenities and McDonald’s eating guests in the bar I finally fell a sleep in the comfortable bed.

In the morning, after having taken a (what cannot have been cleaned in around a year) shower[head], we went down to grab some breakfast. We were greeted with full chaos, with guests eating their breakfast in the lobby and even more people waiting to get a table. The breakfast area was clearly under dimensioned in relation to the number of rooms and we were lucky we weren’t in a hurry, because it took around 25 minutes to get seated. The staff did their best, but we were far from the only other guests who were hangry and annoyed with the situation. Once seated, we had a great breakfast with delicious croissants.

All in all, I think the all female staff did a good job, but I would recommend the hotel to 1) ensure amenities work as intended 2) clean the shower heads 3) ensure correct dimensioning of the breakfast (perhaps return to breakfast slots as during Covid) 4) Write and uphold a policy to not allow outside brought food and drinks in the hotel lobby and bar.

If these things could be solved, my score would change from a quite bad 2 to a strong 4 stars.

Where to start with place... Boutique & Beautiful!

Staff are amazing there personalities and personably service is faultless. The hotel is a very short walk to the Metro from the airport a journey taking just over 1/2 an hour.

About a two minute walk to Tivoli, do this at night it’s stunning. The city is so flat and we averaged 12 miles per day getting captured by the city.

Three night stay, compact room with superb facilities. No need for a hairdryer, loads of plugs and usb charges in the room. Even had a pull down ironing board!

Breakfast only here which I would do as it is fresh (extra charges for hot food) and there is great continental choice.

The hotel is part of a group of four hotels and this is the rum hotel. Yes, lots of rum to pick from and the rooftop bar in the sun is the place to be.

Happy hour or wine o clock! Is a coming together of guests and walk-in’s and there is different music playing. The people make this city and an hour talking and mingling with them makes you understand why this is one of the top cities in the world.

Want to return, want to see the other hotels and want to know why pay to stay in other hotels where there is free wine here?

The hotel feels like it’s in decline. We spent several nights. The promised rooftop bar is a rooftop with some chairs on it with the view spoiled by cel antennas. The stairwell is home to a cot and two tvs. The hallway houses some fans randomly placed. The washrooms off the lobby are embarrassing, one not clean, the other no toilet seat. The check in process asks you to choose a room for a fee that they don’t give you and a keyless entry that doesn’t work. The happy hour at ten is limited to a few drinks, don’t ask for something different, and the wine at 5 isn’t properly cooled (first world problems I know, but when you’re paying the premium come on guys). The breakfast is actually great food, but they are understaffed at peaks so you may or may not get offered coffee. They don’t resupply your shower soap or provide bottled water in the room. There is no ability to control the room temperature, so we opened the window, but the noise makes it difficult to sleep if you are on the road side. The location is good for sure, short walk to train station. We paid about twice as much as friends who stayed about 900m away and we definitely didn’t get twice the value. Sadly this hotel could be so much better, but misses most of the benchmarks it could.

Decided to stay here during our trip to Denmark. Lovely hotel. Lovely service and pleasant staff. The room we booked was perfect for two, and had a lovely view of the street! (I’m not a great sleeper - so I loved just watching the night go by!). The shower was powerful, and the complimentary shower gels/shampoos etc smelt lovely. The wine hour was also much appreciated after a busy day of exploring! I can’t comment on the price, as it was our first time visiting - but I would recommend the hotel. My only negative is that the pillows weren’t too comfortable and gave myself and my partner sore necks. But I believe that’s down to personal preference. All in all, I would recommend this hotel. Thanks!

Hotel Danmark is in a good location in Copenhagen, close to most neighborhoods you will want to visit. Unfortunately the hotel itself missed some key details that affected our stay. Our room had a canopy over the bed that was supported by a pole that was supposed to screw into the wall. This pole was no longer attached to the wall and was hanging freely when we arrived. Additionally, the housekeeping staff did not restock the room properly with soap/shampoo and wash cloths. Also, when they cleaned the rooms, it appears that they remade the bed, but nothing more. The hotel offers bikes for rent which is great, but it was common to find the bikes in some form of disarray (e.g. tipped over) in front of the hotel. Also, the tables/chairs in front of the hotel were often in need of cleaning or had dirty dishes on them. Hotel staff are pleasant, but service was never above and beyond. Overall, it seems like Hotel Danmark has some operational issues that need to be overcome. Until they fix these basic issues, I cannot recommend this hotel.
