Ibsens Hotel is an oasis in the heart of the city. It overlooks the Nansensgade area, bustling with café life and small shops. Just a 5-minute walk away, you will find the city lakes in the one direction and Nørreport train and metro station in the other. The lobby area offers a café, a library room and a cozy livingroom area with a fireplace. The minute you step inside, you will sense the Nansensgade atmosphere: ”Mingle” tables, magazine holders, an old record player and beautiful textiles adorning the lobby. All design pieces are made by neighbouring artists.

Great location in the City centre, perfect breakfast & excellent service. 'Hygge' Design & the best price/Performance ratio. Top Room, soft bed-a bit too soft for us, but ok. I'll definitely book this hotel again.

Stayed in the Ibsen for 5 nights on our trip to Copenhagen. Really well situated hotel close to Norreport Station which is an excellent travel hub for Malmo, Roskilde and generally getting around on the Metro. The hotel was really laid back with a friendly vibe, Staff were very welcoming and helpful - even when we asked to move room (handy hint - the attic rooms are very cool but not for everyone!) Our replacement room was just what we were looking for and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We traveled for 6 days with our kid (9 years old) to get to know Copenhagen. Our stay at Ibsens Hotel made everything easier and more enjoyable. The staff is very friendly, the rooms are very clean, the breakfast menu has both tasty and healthy options.

Fantastic hotel: comfortable, clean, quiet, with friendly and responsive staff. Breakfasts are great, plus there's complimentary wine every day 5-6pm. Very well located: a quick 15 minute train ride from the airport, then a 5 minute walk. In easy walking distance to many of the central areas of the city, and close to good cafes, restaurants and shops. This was our 2nd time at Ibsens. It should have happened in 2020, but was postponed again and again due to COVID; the Ibsens staff were always flexible about rearranging the dates of our booking, and kept our booking credit in place for two years until we were finally able to visit again. Very much appreciated.

We highly recommend Ibsens Hotel. We love the warm atmosphere, Staff is very friendly, the rooms are comfortable and clean ! We felt very welcome and it’s a Perfect Location to start the Daily Trips - You can order a very good breakfast in the hotel, it’s also possible to choose one of the small cafes behind the Ørstedsparken in the Area around Vestergade.(Kingsgarden, Botanical Garden, Ørstedparken are 5-10min per feet, we enjoyed that a lot) The corner the hotel is located, is not to loud but still with life, a nice Tapas Bar close by , La Rocca very good Italian Restaurant directly beside. It a pleasure to sit in front of the Hotel after a Long Day, just for a nightcap, enjoying the view. We definitely come back. Tanja Sund (Elias Schneider)

Ibsen is in a good location. Metro and train stations are close to this hotel and there is no long walking distance to city center. People there are very friendly and helpful. They have a good sense of humor. Breakfast was good and healthy. Hotel room was quite small but we still had everything we needed.

Ibsen is perfectly located in a calm street just around the corner of the buzzing area of Nørrebro and the city centre. The well-known shopping street Strøget as well as trending spots in Nørrebro can both be reached within 15 min walking distance. The hotel as such is a lovely and cozy place - you will feel at home from the beginning. Not only is the staff at the front desk and of the cleaning service welcoming and helping, the interior design also creates a unique experience. The room's reduced and stylish Scandinavia interiors provide you with absolutely every detail you might need - even ear plugs that one did not need in this calm place. A little book exchange corner in your room gives you insights in the history of the hotel's beloved neighborhood. They also take care of your gustatory needs: a great sushi restaurant as well as Italian and Spanish cuisine can be enjoyed next to the lobby area and as room service. They also have a stylish and calm backyard where you can take a break from your travels. And for the exchange thirsty ones, there is a free drink each afternoon. I did not try the breakfast though but it sounded absolutely delicious, too. In case you want to try Danish deli outside the hotel, there is a great food hall within 5 min walking distances offering everything from international food to Danish culinary like Smørrebrød or Grød. And should you get tired from all the nice food and exploring Copenhagen, the hotel offers a relaxing spa on the second floor - it's literally just outside your door.

We had a wonderful stay at Ibsen Hotel, the staff was so friendly and helpful when I lost my wallet and one of the receptionist gave me a tip to look out in my Facebook messenger for anyone who might have found it and tried to get in touch that way and someone did(!) and I got my wallet back🙏🏼 The staff could not have been more helpful. Would recommend if you are looking for a super sentral and cheap hotel that has lovely employees. Will book with them next time for sure!🤌🏼

What to mention first? The cozy surroundings inside the hotel, especially around the reception area? The free class of wine/juice in the afternoon? The appraised by everyone in the city breakfast, every morning? The polite stuff who spoke Danish of course, but also fluent English? Free bikes on one day of our stay? Very nice rooms with comfortable beds and covers? The practical location next to Rozenborg castle, and Botanical gardens? Small distance from Norreport metro station? Nice shops and restaurants in the immediate area? The affordable prices? All these and more comprise the advantages of this lovely hotel in the heart of Copenhagen. John Panagiotidis/Thessaloniki-Greece.
