This hotel is a very nice place to stay in Copenhagen. It's small and not a full service hotel, but its stylishly decorated in good taste. The atmosphere is very healthy with its organic theme that is very extensive. The location is prime with good access to the city by walking and bicycle. A fan in the rooms in summer...

This is a very nice hotel. It's eco friendly. The rooms are beautiful decorated and have comfortable beds. The breakfast has all you can possible wish. The only minus is the fee for the small spa. If you come with car, it can be dificult to find a parking place.

When I arrived by train and found this hotel, I have to admit I was a little disappointed by the location. It’s a couple blocks on the “other side” of the train station from Tivoli and is quite a walk to Nyhavn. There are a few adult oriented business around the hotel and not a lot of charm on the...

We have just returned from Hotel Axel & were not disappointed, as a fan of Bali, the hotel was just great, we loved the furniture & hotel style with the attention to detail - a very cool hip Boutique Hotel. But as much as the hotel was beautiful the staff were outstanding, nothing was to much trouble & all of...

First the positive: The rooms are nice and cosy. I like the organic towels and lovely products they have laid out. Nice luxury touches and a bit asian style. BUT: The breakfast area is too small for the amount of guest, especially when the weather isn`t good enough to sit outside in back garden. The buffet is chaotic, cramped and...

This was our 2nd stay and we do keep recommending it to friends and family. The location is fantastic, a short walk from the central train station - but also Tivoli, Frederiksberg etc. The staff are nice and friendly. But the very best thing is their lovely organic breakfast buffet. The small courtyard is lovely in the sun and very...

Very good location just 5 mins from station on foot. Everyone at the hotel was extremely friendly and helpful, the room was clean, stylish, very quiet and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, eat all you want, fresh fruit, bread, meats, cake, etc and juices and hot drinks. Well worth the extra cost. Bikes to hire at the hotel were...

This hotel was lovely for a first visit to Copenhagen. The room was quite small but made a good use of the space, with a TV on the wall and drawers fitted in to the sofa. The bathroom was also small but for two people on a short stay it doesn't matter too much. Free wifi was great and the...

Staying in Inner Vesterbro

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner Vesterbro
This neighbourhood is home to Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park and beautiful garden always worth a visit. Just west of Tivoli, you’ll find Copenhagen Central Station, from where you can reach just about every part of Denmark within 5 or 6 hours, or you can reach Copenhagen Airport in less than 15 minutes. Next to the Central Station, you’re in the middle of “old” Vesterbro, where several cultures and hundreds of languages are spoken in an area not more than one square mile. This neighbourhood is considered one of the most trendy places to live in and to visit in Copenhagen. For a real treat, visit Kødbyen ("meat town"), home to several restaurants, cafés and nightclubs, all within a short walk of each other.
