Booked this on a deal on booking.com. It's close by to meat packing district and around the corner from the train station. So handy for tivoli gardens. It's rooms were warm (heater full blast but it is January! - dial can be moved too so you can change it to suit you), clean and has a safe along with a...

Hotel Ansgar is ideally located for visiting the city. Close to the main rail station, Tivoli gardens and the developing meat packing district which has lots of cafes, bars and restaurants. Our room was quite small, but clean and warm. Copenhagen is a great compact city, loved the freindliness of all the people. The design museum is well worth a...

The room was the smallest hotel room i've ever been in. Very unremarkable hotel and was there for business, with other hotels having been sold out. It is very close to the red light district but appeared to be safe. If I return to Copenhagen, will not stay there.

Just after staying at this hotel for 4 nights. The location is excellent and the staff are friendly enough. The beds are really comfortable and had a great nights sleep. Enjoyed the city as we were in a central location. We didn't have breakfast included and the rate for the room was ok for Copenhagen

!!!!DO NOT LIVE HERE - ruin your holiday!!!!! Sleeping in bed makes my body itchy, so don't bring children here. The manager is rude. He locked the front door when we checked out and took one of our luggages without permission because of a minor misunderstanding. Pictures DO NOT match actual room conditions. We have standard double room and the...

My flight back was early, so it was convenient to go from the hotel to the airport, as Ansgar is 3-5 minutes of walk. Tivoli Park and many other attractions are close. Breakfast is good. It was interesting to pour coffee or juice with IPad. Staff is helpful and friendly. If to compare with other Copenhagen hotels, the cost of...

Staying in Inner Vesterbro

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner Vesterbro
This neighbourhood is home to Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park and beautiful garden always worth a visit. Just west of Tivoli, you’ll find Copenhagen Central Station, from where you can reach just about every part of Denmark within 5 or 6 hours, or you can reach Copenhagen Airport in less than 15 minutes. Next to the Central Station, you’re in the middle of “old” Vesterbro, where several cultures and hundreds of languages are spoken in an area not more than one square mile. This neighbourhood is considered one of the most trendy places to live in and to visit in Copenhagen. For a real treat, visit Kødbyen ("meat town"), home to several restaurants, cafés and nightclubs, all within a short walk of each other.
