Probably the only spot on Earth where you can sit in, rest in, sleep in and admire so many pieces of Danish mid-century vintage furniture. Hotel Alexandra is a small, authentic, boutique hotel in Copenhagen - just around the corner of the City Hall Square, the Latin Quarter, the main shopping area and Tivoli Garden. Hotel Alexandra has over the past years collected a large collection of the world famous Danish mid-century vintage furniture and decorated the rooms with them. The rooms also have textiles, wallpapers and other gems that take you back in time to experience living like the design loving Danes did it in the 50’s and 60’s. As soon as you step into the Hotel Alexandra, you step into a time bubble – you can relax in the lobby, where during evening hours you can put on your favourite vinyl record from our selection, enjoy a free glass of wine and take a moment to take a closer look at one of our many designer books from our lobby library, all the while being surrounded by the finest Danish designer furniture.

Indre By (Inner City)
This is the heart of old town Copenhagen, with its blend of charming old buildings and bold new architecture, broad avenues and tiny streets as well as picturesque canals and a modern harbor. The inner city is home to the Royal Danish Theatre, which consists of three buildings, two of which are new and situated on the harbor front. The streets, squares and venues of the inner city and its surrounding neighborhoods, are alive all year round with everything from jazz festivals to outdoor ice skating rinks and parachuting at the lakes right in the center of the city. This compact area boasts beautiful old castles, tranquil parks, and bustling squares where you can always find a bench to stretch out your legs whenever you need a break.

Obviously this hotel is aesthetically super rad, so I was surprised at how cozy and comfortable I found my stay. This hotel was brilliant, walking distance to just about everything I think! Arrived in the morning and the helpful check-in personnel tried to see if a room was

I stayed here for two nights on business and really enjoyed it. The staff were all so friendly, the 1950s vibe was a welcome change to the sterile places I normally stay for work and the breakfast in thr adjoining café was an absolute delight. I also really love that you can

The Danish furniture concept is novel and charming and the staff friendly enough, but there seems to be a bolt lose somewhere in the customer service/maintenance department. This was a last minute stay, and since there no doubles available, the staff recommended a single room

Hotel Alexandra put us into the Danish mindset from the moment we stepped off the Metro and walked through the hotel doors. Greeted with a warm smile by the receptionist, we were given plenty of information, a map, an app to download, and a chance to store our suitcases since

Can you get breakfast at this hotel
Located adjacent/contiguous to Hotel Alexandra is LêLê Street Kitchen, a Vietnamese restaurant. The restaurant serves breakfast for hotel guests in the morning. I have stayed at this hotel twice and breakfast was included both times. I guess it depends on your type of room reservation. I have stayed there for business with a preferential rate for the organisation I was visiting and it included breakfast. There is a nice selection of freshly baked breads, a variety of cheeses, cold cuts, smoked salmon, hard boiled eggs, etc. Also fruits and muesli, an espresso maker, juices, a great breakfast. You can sit by the windows with a great view of the morning bustle on H.C. Andersen Blvd., in the main dining room or in the quiet inner courtyard of the restaurant.

Dear saplee, Thank you for your question. In general there is a lot of traffic and waiting time for taxis between 08:00 and 09:00 AM, unfortunately. If you do take a taxi to the airport, the transport time is approximately 25 minutes from the Hotel Alexandra. Trains to the airport run very frequently from the central train station, which is about an 8 minute walk from the Hotel Alexandra. The train takes about 12 minutes to reach the airport from the central train station and as such, it is an excellent way to reach the airport. We hope that this answer is of use to you and other travelers.

Hi, not sure whether they do early check in, it seems to be a flexible staff But you should call them. All the best for your cruise Carsten P.S. we returned to Germany last June after living for 4 years near Detroit. We enjoyed our stay in Michigan.
