Great hotel near centre of Copenhagen. We arrived at central station from the airport and had a five minute walk to the Absalon. Reception greeted us in a friendly and efficient manner. The room was slightly small but very well laid out and proved functional. The hotel has been recently refurbished so smart throughout. Surrounded by good restaurants in all...

I found this in TripAdvisor and liked the pics and reviews, but looks and reviews can be deceiving. But not in this case. The staff were exceptional, our room was large and well appointed. The bed was really comfy too which is always a plus. My only really complaint was that the breakfast was so good I ate too much....

We visited with another couple and we all stayed at Hotel Absalon. The hotel is ideally situated for access to the Central Railway Station, Tivoli Gardens (unfortunately closed during our brief visit) and most of Copenhagen's attractions which are generally less than 30mins walk way. I would recommend taking the train from the airport and walking from the station to...

We originally booked our accom at The Andersen (across the road & owned by the same company), however only a couple of weeks before our stay we were told that it was under renovation & that we would be moved to the Absalon. We loved the Absalon however we would have appreciated more notice that we were being moved as...

We stayed 4 nights at the Absalon and enjoyed it very much. The room was spacious and very clean. The staff was helpful and very pleasant. Breakfast was included and, although it was only a continental breakfast, it was plentiful and delicious. Wait staff was also very pleasant and helpful. The decor was lovely. The location was within walking distance...

The hotel is conveniently located just steps from the central station where you can catch a train straight to the airport. The decor is one of the best I've seen anywhere. If this is your thing, you'll be going through the floors admiring at taking pictures. My room inspired me to finish decorating my own apartment. I strongly recommend this...

I have nothing to fault on this hotel, had a lovelybstay in early January. Anything we asked for was attended to from disposable room slippers to a room kettle. When it was bitterly cold they were even offering takeaway tea and coffee for free. The hotels style is beautiful, lovely colours tgat work well and encourage you to spend time...

My partner and I chose the Absalon for both us and our families to stay at for our destination wedding in Copenhagen, and were so happy that we did. The staff were fantastic, offering support with arrangements beforehand (thanks, Nikita!), and assisting us with anything we needed during our stay. My partner and I loved our corner room, and our...

This was a great little hotel, the location is great, right between the centre of town and the meat packing district which is perfect for dinner and drinks! The hotel was modern and clean, the staff we great and the breakfast was good on the continental side but the hot was average. The only let down of the hotel was...

This hotel is literally 5mins from the train station & within easy walking distance of the main shopping streets of Copenhagen. Trivoli gardens is a stones throw away. On check in the staff are amazingly polite, friendly, helpful & accommodating. Our family room was beautifully furnished, in contemporary decor, spacious with quality fittings. The bathroom was very good, offering a...

Staying in Inner Vesterbro

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner Vesterbro
This neighbourhood is home to Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park and beautiful garden always worth a visit. Just west of Tivoli, you’ll find Copenhagen Central Station, from where you can reach just about every part of Denmark within 5 or 6 hours, or you can reach Copenhagen Airport in less than 15 minutes. Next to the Central Station, you’re in the middle of “old” Vesterbro, where several cultures and hundreds of languages are spoken in an area not more than one square mile. This neighbourhood is considered one of the most trendy places to live in and to visit in Copenhagen. For a real treat, visit Kødbyen ("meat town"), home to several restaurants, cafés and nightclubs, all within a short walk of each other.
