This hotel has been recently renovated to a very high standard. It is a 5 minute walk to the station. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms were immaculate and the breakfast left you spoilt for choice.

Super hotel ,well located close to Central station and Tivoli and walking distance to main tourist spots. Close to plenty of good places to eat. Hotel has modern stylish rooms with plenty of space and clean modern bathrooms. The staff were pleasant and helpful and the breakfast selection was excellent. Would definitely stay there again

Overall this is a very convenient hotel, in the meatpacking district of Copenhagen. The hotel is modern and well kept, with comfortable rooms. We were on the top floor with a family room and another double, and both were reasonably sized for a European capital and each with unique charm. The breakfast was okay but a bit overcrowded, but fine... More

I went to Copenhagen for a quick vacation with 3 family members. We chose the Absalón hotel due to the location. The staff at the front desk was very helpful and gave us a lot of information about the Copenhagen card and the train station. They took the time to print out instructions for us. We were 4 adults and... More

Very nice breakfast and nice big rooms. We had a great time. Easy to walk to Tivoli and meat packing district to eat, basically you can walk anywhere from the hotel. Interesting shops on the street though so with kids you have to try to advert their eyes but other then that, there are no complaints!

I can recommend this hotel wholeheartedly. Friendly, warm, modern, a great introduction for me to 'hygge'. Everywhere is well decorated and very smart, rooms are excellent. Breakfast was a very wide choice of good quality food. Every member of staff was friendly & welcoming. The location in the city centre is excellent and is only a 2 minute walk from... More

We stayed at the Absalon for 3 nights at the end of November. Its a 5 minute walk from the train station if you go down the steps to the left of the Police Station located inside the Train Station. Buy a travel ticket to cover your stay (train, bus, metro) duration at the airport by the baggage carousels then... More

So we had booked this some time ago.My wife decided to upgrade to a suite. Was it worth it? Yes it was,a sitting room and a huge bed.The colours are funky and clash, they shouldn't work but they do. The electric imitation of burning logs is insane but soothing and the slider with mood lighting in the bathroom is fun. It was... More

My partner and I have just returned from a fantastic 3 night stay at Absalon in Copenhagen. Absalon offers a perfect base from which to explore the city, located an earshot away from both the train station and Tivoli Gardens. The room was spacious, modern, clean and, like the rest of the hotel, decorated in a colorful and vibrant manner.... More

We had two rooms one of which was a family room. Both rooms were very comfortable and stylishly decorated. The breakfast was an excellent buffet with lots of great options. My only complaint would be that I could hear street noise at night from my room, but my kids across the hall in the family room didn't hear a thing

Staying in Inner Vesterbro

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner Vesterbro
This neighbourhood is home to Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park and beautiful garden always worth a visit. Just west of Tivoli, you’ll find Copenhagen Central Station, from where you can reach just about every part of Denmark within 5 or 6 hours, or you can reach Copenhagen Airport in less than 15 minutes. Next to the Central Station, you’re in the middle of “old” Vesterbro, where several cultures and hundreds of languages are spoken in an area not more than one square mile. This neighbourhood is considered one of the most trendy places to live in and to visit in Copenhagen. For a real treat, visit Kødbyen ("meat town"), home to several restaurants, cafés and nightclubs, all within a short walk of each other.
