Like you, I decided to visit Copenhagen and wasn't sure where to stay. As a solo traveler who is generally introverted, I decided to stay here on account of the many reviewers who recommended that I do so and how wonderful and friendly everyone can be. Definitely was worth it. I bunked with 9 other strangers. We quickly all became...

My friends and I stayed here for four nights and had a wonderful time. The staff was very friendly, the room was nice, the breakfast was good (though the dinner was nothing special so I'd recommend skipping that and having dinner at some local restaurants), and it was a lot of fun being able to socialize in the bar at...

Good location in the city center, the common area is a nice place to have a beer, was full of people, even in the middle of the week. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The price is also really good for Copenhagen.

I have mixed feelings about Copenhagen Downtown. I will start by the positive - great location - checkin 24/7, very useful - rooms quite comfy - the breakfast included in a very expensive city (but disgusting instant coffee) - the lockers underneath the beds (though they could be swap, the top-bed locker is directly at the head of the bottom-bed...

Room was exactly what was needed with safe lockers and linen provided. Great to know you could buy towels/locks etc at reception. Had an absolutely amazing time in the bar at night, with an incredible atmosphere and met lots of wonderful people, including those who worked there! Great drinks for a cheap price. Breakfast is free if you book directly...

Great price, perfect location, very basic room and bathroom but not over priced. The pillows were rubbish and old and the bathrooms were freezing but the water was hot! The breakfast was good and unlimited coffee!

Stayed for two days midweek in February 2017. Beds were pre-made and were warm (a plus in February in Denmark!), though the pillows were a little lumpy. Stayed in 6-person dormitory, didn't feel unsafe, large lockers provided (bring your own lock – standard combo lock is fine and small ones sold onsite). Bar atmosphere downstairs was fun, and not terribly...

Spent a few nights here and had my birthday in Copenhagen as well! I traveled solo as I was backpacking a few countries and met some cool people to spend my birthday with. The hostel was decent, the night events (ie. live music) were pretty good and it was easier to meet people. Pretty close to everything else downtown. I...

Last summer (July) I went to visit Copenhagen with a friend and stayed a couple of nights in the Copenhagen Downtown Hostel. It's conveniently located in the city centre, most sightseeings are within walking distance (Copenhagen itself is not very big, you can visit everything on foot). The hostel is certainly you get what you pay. We stayed in a...
