We have just returned from the Acapulco after our fifth visit, and it won't be the last. The hotel improves every time. The grounds are beautiful and well-tended. The beach and pools are clean, with plenty of sunbeds. The restaurant staff are friendly and efficient, as are the Reception staff. The Guest Relations Manager (Denise) is always professional and friendly, and is always ready to help with even the smallest queries. The rooms are spacious and clean. The food is very good and very varied, and when the restaurant got busy due to a convention and public holiday, the upstairs was
opened which was much quieter. By doing a little research before visiting there will be no surprises (eg no kettle in room, water pool and animation closed for end of season), and no need for the two recent nasty reviews. These were posted by a large family group who were the cause of some discomfort to other guests, by playing (bad!) music loudly and continuously, smoking obsessively, and using foul language as a matter of course in front of families , and also behaving aggressively towards staff - to our shame, they were English. We too have stayed in many 5* hotels in the past, and the Acapulco rates along with the best of them. It is a home from home for us and we can't wait to go back.

Thank you so much for your 'marvelous' review it was a pleasure to read. I am not sure which agency you travelled with but it is a shame there was confusion over the concept as we are not an all inclusive hotel. We hope that you will return and if you do please contact guest relations, they will be very happy to help you wth the Spa facilities.

Just got back from a 7 day half board stay. It was a couples holiday, so for us it was great. The weather was still a sunny 25 degrees, hardly anyone on the sandy beach (about 6 people), no one in the pools. I thought the meals were great, something different everyday and variety of hot/ cold food healthy and not so healthy, lots of options. Not many guests as it is the winter season, all the children sections were closed and whilst we were there we saw the pool bar close for the season. For a family this time of the year I would be very disappointed, as the facilities for the children looked amazing but all closed. I can imagine a great place in the summer season for families. Staff were all friendly, but understanding of English was limited, our extractor fan did not work in our en suite, took 4 hours and numerous calls to fix - broke again and we did not bother to get fixed again because of the hassle. Air conditioning was set for the winter season, although it was still very hot outside (25 degrees) it only emitted warm air ... Most days our room was hotter than outside 😰and night time was uncomfortable 😞. TV channels were limited only 2 English speaking channels ... Watched the same programme about 5 times! Overall a pleasant stay.

It is good to know that you had a pleasant stay and that you enjoyed the facilties that were available. I am pleased that you found the staff to be friendly, we are trying our best to give incentives and to encourge all staff to learn English. I will of course pass your comments onto our technical services manager regarding the response to the technical problem. We hope that you might return to the Acapulco, it would be nice for you to be able to see all facilities when they are open as I am sure you would enjoy yourselves.

We went here in mid October and most of the facilities had closed down. We were told by guest relations that the animation team had finished the previous week and the children's club, fairground , junior waterslides and the two best adult waterslides were not operating because it was the end of the season. The following weekend when it was half term, the children arriving found most things closed. The only entertainment for adults was a second rate singer in one of the small bars. When I complained I was told I should have been told by my tour operator, Cyprus Paradise, that as it was low season everything would be closed down. Cyprus has good weather into November and as they charge extra for school holiday weeks I didn't expect such poor facilities.
Our rooms were fine, we found the food a bit boring as the same stuff was served up again and again at every meal.
There are no shops close by and they expect you to buy all your drinks at bar prices with a threat to charge you for any drinks bought into the complex from outside.
Our Cyprus Paradise rep. and the staff were not helpful and most information given by them was inaccurate and changed depending on which member of staff you asked, often because they didn't understand English

As for all countries there are different seasons and for North Cyprus the summer season is May to October and what is open is clearly stated on most websites. Our beach, outside pool, water parks and beach bar were open until the beginning of November. Half Term in the UK differs depending on where you live and so even though the water parks should close at the end of September we try to keep them open for as long as possible. We have to take safety into account and how many lifeguards we have, so we closed 2 slides one of which was the largest. Most guests have been greatly suprised this year with the prices and found them to be amazing due to the Pounds exchange rate. We have so many staff that speak certain languages and we have a Guest Relations Desk in reception, they are always happy to assist with any queries the guests may have. We hope that perhaps you will visit at a different time as I am sure you will enjoy the facilities İn high season.

First of all I would like to congratulate the Chefs, waiters and all staff involved in catering. The buffets, both at breakfast and dinner were amazing and the choices were beyond description. Feeding 300 - 500 is a job an a half which they managed well, day in and day out with a wonderful sense of humour and helpfulness. It took me a day or two to discover which station served what but having cracked that you can concentrate on a large and freshly prepared spread.
Interestingly, after breakfast guests seemed to disperse to various parts of the resort and nowhere was packed but plenty of room for all.
Sad to say I found the evening meals somewhat frenetic and not relaxing with so many people so took the shuttle into Kyrenia and ate dinner alongside the harbour (taking a taxi back) or visited the on-site a la carte..You can do this anyway, regardless of what you think about the busy buffet.
We came here several years ago and found the resort had expanded almost doubling in size with new accommodation blocks and a re-vamp of the swimming pools. The beach was/is superb nestling in a bay with a backdrop of mountains and the warm sea. Couldn't be better. The adults only pool has moved and is now an infinity pool overlooking the beach. Superb.
The rooms were large, airy, comfortable and clean and the ambience of the complex was one of luxury.
The water park was great fun and the occasional adult was allowed access to the water slides. Quite exhilarating.
The staff were wonderful, from reception, restaurants, room services etc.
A tip: The a la carte restaurant (formerly the beach cafe) is a change from the buffet and offers a small(ish) menu with linen table clothes and waiter/waitress service but is not included in a half board package. Neither is lunch.
We didn't visit the casino so can't comment.
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and have no complaints and the weather, in October, was spot on, plenty of sun but not scorching hot.

Our Sea Side restaurant is fairly new, as is the infinity pool and I am pleased you liked both of these.
