I would just like to pass on our thanks for the most wonderful weekend. Everybody commented on the “perfect venue”, fantastic service, friendly staff, food was out of this world, lazer shooting was “good fun”, pizza’s were better than Pizza hut anyday, not having to worry about anything was brilliant Our family throughly enjoyed the weekend and did not want... We just had a work conference at Lakes Lodge Okataina. The weather was average with nothing but rain. Despite the weather it was a fantastic venue, friendly staff, excellent food and comfortable rooms. The sucluded location and view each morning over the lake is world class and well worth the trip.

We had a family wedding here. The setting was great and the facilities excellent. The pizzas at the pizza night were very tasty with a crispy thin base and plenty of them. The wedding was all set up for us to add our own decorations and it was good to have the choice. Down on the lake front a perfect... More

I was fortunate to spend 3 nights & 2 days at Lake Okataina Lodge recently for a business conference. A great location for business conference, no distractions, no traffic & no cellphone coverage. We were looked after excellently well by the staff. Malcolm the manager was a great host, nothing was too much trouble & he certainly ensured we were... More

We have just returned from a family wedding at Lakes Lodge and can not speak highly enough of the venue. It is, of course located in one of New Zealands most beautiful areas which is a lovely setting for the Lodge. The Lodge is all Lockwood built which gives it a great rustic feel. Of note is the obvious pride... More

Enjoyed our time! We were pretty much only guests so was nice and quiet. Bit of a drive off main road to get here but worth the views of Lake Okataina, Standard Wood cabins which had kitchen, lots of walks on site and in surrounding national park, we should have taken own food as restaurant closed whole time. Closest food... More

I have emailed the venue with some feedback for how we viewed our wedding and have received no reply or other communication. Overall we had a great day and our guests did enjoy it but it was more down to us and our planning than them. When we tried to approach them face to face with our concerns or worries... More

Recently had our works Christmas do here, had heard lots about the venue and was looking forward to seeing it for myself. The drive to the venue is a long winding road and fairly narrow, but once at the other end it opens out to the lodge and the awesome lake. The beach is within walking distance of all the... More

We had the most amazing wedding at Lake Okataina in December! Its a little spot of paradise in there and we couldn't of asked for a more perfect area and staff to help us enjoy our weekend with family and friends. We were able to accommodate our whole wedding party on site which was fabulous and the celebrations started off... More
