A traditional fell station near Kebnekaise mountain, roughly on the tree line. Provides hostel-level accommodation for skiers and hikers. One day skiing form Nikkaluokta, or a week long ski from Abisko, where we came from. What a nice place to have a sauna and clean up.

Good place to stay if you are planning to attempt to climb Mt Kebnekaise. Some people fly in and out by helicopter from Nikkaluokta, or just pay for their luggage to be transported. There is a sauna and kitchen facilities, or you can camp for free.

The mountain station has a fantastic location. At the bottom of the kebnekaise mountain, almost at the bottom of the valley, we had a wonderful view all around. It is really inviting to wander around, sit with a book, or take a daypack up to the peaks. That's something we hadn't understand when the planning beforehand; if you want to...

“We were lucky to have a room in the old cottage, it was quiet and nice! There is no Fitness centre because with all the walking you don't need it! There is no swimming pool, but that's not the reason to choose a mountain place!”
