My son and I were at Santa Pod this weekend for FIA drag racing. We stayed a night at The Windmill which is only a few miles away but is in a marvellous, secluded setting. It is a converted windmill with two main suites of rooms - the Windmill and the Garden room. The Windmill is a room actually in...

We had a very enjoyable one night stay at the Windmill, in the Windmill Suite which has the huge bonus of allowing you access to the eyrie at the top, which affords you superb views across the landscape. It's 48 steps to the top! There are cushions to sit on... I spent ages just staring at the views both afternoon,...

We had planned to stay in the Windmill which looked beautiful, very clean and inviting. The owners made us a tea tray but I had devasting news just minutes after arriving. We had driven up from south wales and were tired, hot and thirsty. The news was my stepfather had been taken seriously ill and was in ITU in Kings...

We have just returned from a wonderfully relaxing weekend at the Windmill. We had the Windmill Suite with breath taking views over Bedfordshire. The breakfast was fabulous with the best sausages we have tasted. Thank you Julian for a lovely relaxing weekend.

Lovely house and a good breakfast at a very reasonable price. I stayed in the Windmill Suite with full access to the tower including the view gallery at the top for just £50.00. I just wish the weather had been better so I could have gotten some photo's of the view.

My wife and I stayed for one night while going to a wedding nearby. Very comfortable room which is set within a very interesting windmill conversion. Tasty breakfast in the morning and the owners could not have been more pleasant or accommodating. Would definitely stay there again.

We came back to The Windmill after some years of living overseas. The location is quiet, with wonderful views of the English countryside. The building is unique. We had the Garden Suite, with views across the garden. A small barn nearby hosts a Barn Owl. Our room was large, well appointed, and very comfortable. Our hosts Wendy and Julian were...

We stayed in the windmill suite which was different to the average room and added that extra with the stunning sunset from the viewing tower at the top!! Julian and wendy are 2 of the nicest people/hosts and provide a comfortble friendly welcoming atmosphere as...

The Windmill, Thurleigh This stay is a must, if you want a wonderfully relaxing and tranquil B&B place to stay that is different from the norm. From pulling into the forecourt, the sight of the windmill and building is impressive. We were immediately greeted by our wonderful host Wendy and promptly accepted the offer of tea/coffee with biscuits under the...

What a welcome, a last minute booking turned in to a terrific find, as other people have reviewed Julian and Wendy are fantastic examples of what great hospitality is about. The Windmill Suite was lovely, they have really worked hard to bring the old windmill in to great accommodation. Sleep quality was superb, the fact that you have floor after...
