The hotel is centrally located for walking to lots of sights, restaurants and shops but also with easy access to trams, buses, and trains to take you anywhere. The hotel staff was also very helpful and kind! I was beyond pleased to find that when we arrived at 8am after a long overnight flight and we were hoping to just store our luggage until check-in, they had a room ready for us! It was such a wonderful surprise after an 8hour flight.

Other good things were the breakfast buffet which was above average and the bar that we enjoyed at night for a cocktail or two. Also, our room was well appointed and had a lovely view! The room was small but not by European standards. The only issues we had were the pillows on the bed, which were terribly thin and uncomfortable, and the club music that thumped every night at 1:00am. Neither were huge issues or ruined our stay, just minor inconveniences. The hotel concierge app, Porter and Sail, was also a great resource! I would definitely recommend the Nobis Hotel for anyone wanting to enjoy a weekend getaway in Stockholm!

When you enter this hotel you directly get the feeling of calmness. Big areas that give you space and a welcoming atmosphere. The continuing of my stay include friendly personal, top class cleanliness, best ever breakfast and restaurant visit (at NOI), very nice superior room with lovely view over Stockholm. And then my favorite….the lounge. Relax, talk, "load your batteries". The roof is somewhere but I can't see it!
When you check out from the hotel you hold your room access card as hard in your hand to try to keep it. What do I miss telling you.......oh yes, city of stockholm is just outside the door.

My husband and I recently had the opportunity to spend a night at Nobis Hotel Stockholm as guests of Regent Seven Seas Cruises, as we had booked a concierge class stateroom on Regent Splendor. I wish we could have stayed more than one night, but since I wasn't the one who chose or booked the hotel, it was not to be this time.

I had no real preconceived notions about this hotel, other than it was supposed to be fairly nice. My expectations were met from the start, as a very helpful young man checked us in and immediately gave us access to our room on the fifth floor. I had a few interactions with this man as he also helped get everyone's luggage to the bus the next morning. He was very friendly and professional.

The room was quite comfortable, although it had some interesting design characteristics that I thought were unusual. For instance, there was a grate over the sink that we weren't sure what to do with. I liked the shower, which had good toiletries and a nice shower head that delivered a massage. We requested a quiet room, so ours overlooked a courtyard. It was, indeed, quiet.

Housekeeping might want to make sure to check that everything works when they clean. My husband's lamp didn't function.

We did enjoy the outdoor restaurant. The food was good, and thanks to some handy vouchers given by the cruise ship, it wasn't too expensive for us. We also liked the great cocktails at the bar. I especially loved the Strawberry Basil Smash and the Stockholm. My husband even made me a Strawberry Basil Smash yesterday in honor of Independence Day!

One thing I do want to mention about the bar, however, is that the bartender seemed very intent on flirting with some women sitting at the bar, rather than serving drinks. But, once he realized we wanted to drink, he became more attentive. And, as I mentioned, he made fabulous cocktails! We loved the cool courtyard area next to the bar, too.

Breakfast was good, with a large variety of options in the buffet. I did notice the woman in charge of checking names was a little loud when she was dealing with one couple who came in and had changed rooms, but maybe that's a local thing. She wasn't very discreet in dealing with them.

Overall, we enjoyed the hotel and would probably book it on our own, given the opportunity, especially since it's very close to the port.

Do you like to sleep? How about have a place to put your luggage and still be able to reach the door and bathroom? If you answered yes to either of these questions I’d strongly recommend you look elsewhere or ensure you have a suite on a high floor. Our room 107 was right above the street and club playing loud techno until 1am. Diego at the front desk assured me it would end at 11pm when we checked in and asked for a quiet room. I was jetlagged and exhausted and agreed to take the room. Skip forward to 11:30pm and I’m begging the front desk to help us switch rooms. Bless the lady at the front desk on the 26th as she delivered new keys to a quiet room (thankfully they were not fully booked) and let us keep our luggage in the original room. We stumbled down the hall to our new room and fell asleep. The windows in the quiet room were facing dark lobby - great for sleep, not great in the morning to not have sunlight or privacy though.

Noise aside, our room also came with the personal shampoo from a previous guest. I have no idea how housekeeping did not throw this out and replenish a new one from their hotel brand for us to use. It took not one but two calls to get shampoo so I could shower. I don’t want to have gross toiletries from previous guests in my allegedly freshly cleaned room. Lastly, the women at the front desk on the morning of Thursday the 25th promised us she’d call when our room was available. She never did and did not apologize. For the price range, fairly shocking to have such poor service.

I trusted this hotel to be a special and relaxing place for us to celebrate a birthday and anniversary. It was not.

2 stars for location and 1 for the beautiful staircase/lobby.

Having read other reviews I made sure to request a quiet room. When I checked in I was told that I was being given a quiet room. On my first night I could hear a pounding baseline. I phoned reception and asked if they knew when the music would finish, she said she didn't know. I said I'd asked for a quiet room, she said I was in the quietest room they had, and she could send me some earplugs (they were useless). I got to sleep some time after midnight.

Second night the music was even louder, not just loud, the sort of music you can feel reverberating in the pit of your stomach. I called reception and a very nice guy came and agreed it was extremely loud, and that there had been other complaints, including the previous evening. He found me a quiet room, so I ended up moving rooms at midnight. The room I moved to was very quiet.

It appears that the music was coming from the museum next door, which has a courtyard where it holds events. I completely realise the hotel has no control over its neighbours, but the purpose of a hotel, for me, is to have somewhere to rest and sleep, and this was impossible in my first room. The hotel either needs to work harder with its neighbours, add more sound proofing or do something to avoid paying guests from being so inconvenienced.

It is a shame because it was a very nice hotel, nicely decorated. Although the rooms were a bit sparse I loved the bathroom. The breakfast buffet was good. The best thing about the hotel is its location, right in the hustle and bustle of the city, but easy walking to the old town, the museum area, the archipelago ferries.

But as nice as it is I wouldn't stay again, purely because of the noise.

5 stars for the location in walking distance to upscale shops, boat trips and museum and historic venues. Large breakfast choice. Rooms quite small. Room cleaning was bad for a five star hotel, with one week without vacuum cleaning and several days until used glasses were renewed; clothes cleaning also went wrong but was then not charged. One day without Internet, TV and room phone on top. Perfect for the location, insufficient for servicing. Ask for a room towards an inner courtyard as those towards the square and streets might be noisy.

We stayed here as part of our honeymoon and used my parents marriot bonvoy timeshare. It was a great location as it felt like you were close to everything. The modern art feel of the hotel was definitely something different for what we were used to. It was refreshing and yet cozy. There was an espresso machine in the room and some pleasant toiletries in the bathroom. We were upgraded on arrival to a room looking over the square and had some slippers and robes to slip into when we arrived. The only downsides were that the furniture looked quite tired with the chair looking like there was an old spillage that had damaged the upholstery and the table was definitely damaged by the continual use of the coffee machine. As the top was some kind of leather, there were old coffee stains all over. Additionally, if you want to stay here and want the view of the square, just be aware that on a friday night there is quite a bit of noise. The restaurant on the square has some kind of heavy bass DJ set playing which for those who aren't used to it, can disturb your sleep. Other than that, the best part for me was the location of this hotel and for a city break, that's definitely important!

My husband stayed at the Nobis Hotel during our recent trip to Stockholm. Our room was surprisingly spacious and comfortable. We were told we were getting a room in the quiet part of the hotel, and it was genuinely quiet. We slept great, and really appreciated the extended breakfast hours. Breakfast was very good. James the concierge was outstanding - really helpful with dinner suggestions, directions, and ideas on things to see. The hotel location is perfect for visiting all the major sights in Stockholm - we were able to walk to pretty much everything we wanted to do.

The only suggestion for improvement I would have is that it would be great if the rooms had USB ports for charging devices. It is so much easier than having to deal with adaptors.

I checked in with two colleagues. Having gold status in Marriott Bonvoy, I expected to be upgraded at least to a better room than my colleagues. Unfortunately I was given a cold room on the 2nd floor, which was smaller than one of my colleague's rooms. I turned up the heating, and left it to warm up. After an enjoyable dinner in the hotel's restaurant, I returned to my room to find that the heating still wasn't working, instead blasting cold air. It was only 17°C in the room with outdoor temperatures of around -9°C. I went to reception and asked to change rooms. The receptionist who had allocated me to the bad room was reluctant to accommodate my request, but the next receptionist was much more helpful and upgraded me to a fantastic superior room on the 6th floor, overlooking the square. The new room was spacious, warm and genuinely 5*. I was delighted.

The television had an impressive range of channels from many countries. Don't use the hotel's default wifi, as it's slow and only works for web browsing, not even common ports used by e-mail etc. Instead ask reception for the password of the WPA network, which gives speeds of more than 200Mbps upstream and downstream, and supports VPNs etc.

I particularly liked the bathroom. Flannels are provided, and the tissue box is unusually designed in such a way that housekeeping can easily see if it's running low, so it never gets empty. The very effective heated floor was most welcome.

Breakfast was good, although there was some room for improvement. For example, there were no pork sausages, only chicken sausages. Although I expect such a policy in the Middle East, I don't expect it in Europe. There was no tomato juice, but staff helpfully obtained this for me from the bar at no additional charge.

I question why the rooms don't have digital thermostats whereby guests set the desired temperature, as is the norm in 5* hotels in every climate. Instead there's just an uncalibrated dial.

Despite some issues, I would definitely return to the Nobis for any future visits to Stockholm.

I have travelled to Stockhom approx. every two weeks for a couple of years and have tried many hotels. For the last six months I have stayed at Nobis. There are many reasons why I got “stuck” there... At first it was the location. Close to everything.😊

But mostly, I was impressed that after my second visit, they remembered my name and what kind of room I like. Hotel rooms (beds, pillows, TVs, etc) are mostly the same as other good hotels, but one thing that can differentiate them is the bathrooms. I really like Nobis’ bathrooms, specially the showers. 😊

What also makes a good hotel is their breakfast. If I lived in Stockholm I would go to Nobis just for their breakfast now and again... with a date. 😊
