Stayed two nights here. The hotel is close to the metro and it was easy to find. It also offers breakfast with wide range of choices comparing to other hostels. The shared bathroom could have been cleaner. The hotel is quite old and the toilet was small. The bedroom is on an underground floor with no window. At night, it...

We visited last weekend.. Weather was started to freezing :( Like everyone said, hotel located well in Södermalm but if you are coming from Slussen, you need to hike up stairs much.. Hard to go, easy to return the city :) 30 meters distance, there's a supermarket. You 're going to use that street with going to the heart of...

Booked this as a last minute option to stay in Stockholm for one night before getting the ferry to Finland. Excellent location, close to the city centre and the ferry terminal. Good value for money. Had a twin room with no window and shared bathroom, very clean room and bathroom was just down the hall. Breakfast was included in the...

I was looking for somewhere reasonably priced to stay in while in Stockholm. I booked a room with bathroom, which I would recommend over sharing with others. The room was small and had no windows, although I actually liked this as I found it easier to sleep. The walls are quite thin and although we could hear the people next...

Breakfast on the Sunday morning was amazing and the buffet spread was really really good. The kitchen was available for use too. The room I stayed in was a bit warm as there were no windows but there was a ventilation vent. The shared bathroom was a bit exposed in my opinion as only a few had shower curtain. The...

Stayed here for four nights in Late June, 2016; More of a 2 and 3/4 star rating - could be better if they made some small improvements as outlined below. Our family had two rooms; one with shower (upstairs, room 33) and one downstairs, community shower/bathroom, room 18. My brother had room downstairs with no bathroom too. Cons: -Door would...

Staying in Slussen

Neighbourhood Profile
Slussen
A unique mix of grotesque 1960s concrete urban vision and cosy historical Swedish brick houses, Slussen has become one of Stockholm’s most architecturally edgy and controversial neighborhoods. Plans to rebuild the area have been on the agenda for decades, however, so far no agreement could be reached, which is the reason for the continuing decay of its brutalist substance. Nevertheless, the museums and the main shopping street, Götgatan, attract both locals and tourists with Sweden’s most fashion-forward clothing retailers, hipster coffee shops and restaurants. Once the lights are out, the area turns into a bustling nightlife haven, catering to all preferences, from posh hotel bars to sweaty underground nightclubs. There is no better place to experience the clash between old and new Sweden.
