I stayed for two nights. Quite, comfortable place to stay. It felt like a private guesthouse. The place was easy to find and the reception was always helpful. I would consider staying here once more if I ever get a chance to visit there.

Hotel is clean, in the nice area of Stockholm, very convenient for sightseeing. People at reception are very kind and willing to help and assist you with the questions and recommendations. Rooms with shared bathroom are working fine. Bathrooms are clean.

It was my first trip to Sweden and decided to booked this hotel based on the reviews as I only have a week in Stockholm. So I will need somewhere close by to Gamla Stan and other attractions that was accessible by public transports. Well, this hotel tick all the boxes. Was greeted by the lovely and kind Clara (or... Friendly and helpful staff, great breakfasts, help yourself to drinks and cakes all day, very clean. We left luggage at the hotel prior to travelling north which was a great help too. Definitely return when visiting Stockholm again.

The hotel was great, super location, and above all the staff was super friendly and helpful. We got caught in the middle of the SAS pilot strike in June and had to find a way to Frankfurt on very short notice. The woman (sorry, forgot her name) working the desk on that Saturday evening spent a couple of hours helping... More

The staff here couldn't have been more helpful in showing us where to go and how to get around Stockholm. The hotel is in a great location in a hip neighborhood with many places to eat and drink and is close enough to walk to Gabla Stan. Public transportation is close and convenient. There was a great breakfast and drinks,... More

We booked this hotel at short notice, but even so. The price we paid was quite extreme. 1790 Sek for one night. Its very easy to miss this hotel, with a small entrance. You then take the lift or stairs to the foyer. We was greeted by a very charming man, who gave us all the information we needed about... More

My parents and I are currently in Europe for 2 week vacation before I start university in Heidelberg, Germany, and we began our trip in Stockholm. This was my first taste of Europe and it could not have begun better. Hotel Hornsgatan (forgive me if I misspell it, my German is better than my Swedish) is and will probably remain... More

What a wonderful hotel! It's right in the heart of the Mariatorget area, with lots of great restaurants and shopping, near beautiful views and walks along the water, a quick stroll to Gamla Stan. The hotel is remarkably quiet at night, we left our windows open for the breeze. The rooms are nicely sized and comfortable, WCs are plentiful and... More

Staying in Mariatorget

Neighbourhood Profile
Mariatorget
This rather quiet neighborhood revolves around a postcard-like park with a dramatic fountain in its center and is definitely one of Stockholm’s showcase neighborhoods. Mariatorget, a central residential area, is the best Stockholm has to offer when it comes to juxtaposing architectural masterpieces with sophisticated art galleries, coffee shops and bars. Stockholmers love to spend their weekends in the park or one of the nearby coffee shops, so come to Mariatorget to meet the locals. The northern part of Mariatorget boasts historic buildings, beautiful cobblestone streets, and one of Stockholm’s best observation decks, Monteliusvägen, from where you can see an amazing view of the city hall and Stockholm’s old town.
