Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This hotel is very central, but it's not the prettiest part of Stockholm for sure. The hotel itself is large, spacious and with a nice bar and dining area. The rooms are also generous in size, the TV is large and it's also nice and quiet from sound outside the hotel, however sounds from within are easily audible, such as surrounding room doors slamming shut, I wish that they would simply install soft-close to keep guests sleeping more happily! The beds are very hard, request an additional topper when you check-in, you'll need it! The pillow are rather frustrating, they're big but compress down to a hard state once your head is on them! Finally the air conditioning seems to lack functional controls, at least in the room in which I stayed, but I reported it to reception and they promised to investigate! Talking of which, the reception staff are great. There's tea/coffee facilities hidden in a cupboard under the TV, so be sure to make use of them! The gym downstairs is great, very well equipped, but quite small, so if it's a busy hotel season it could be hard work!

Hotel's Favourite
Fantastic hotel, perfectly located. For those coming in from the US, easy to get to from airport. Fastest and cheapest option is to use the Arlana Express (follow floor signs) Buy your ticket at the station, if you buy return ticket, they will sign on it once. Keep it and use it again for return. It stops at Centralen (Stockholm Central Station). From there take a redline or green line towards Gamla Stan and Slussen. Get off at Slussen, its a 5 minute and safe walk to the hotel. Transportation is a breeze. Use credit a card for contactless pay (must be Mastercard or Visa). You can ride train, metro, ferry for same price within a 75 minute period. If you plan to travel multiple days , get a travel card. Sweden is a beautiful country and Stockholm has a lot to see and do. If like me you were challenged deciding on getting the city pass, its not worth it. Back to the hilton, I was there for the AIDSIMPACT Conference ( fantastic conference). I was upgraded because of my diamond status to a room with a view. Got candy as welcome (delightful and tasty and not cheap versions). The staff are wonderful and work really hard. They all speak English and are always willing to help. Breakfast is way better than the typical US hilton breakfast. Fresh ingredients, organic food and noce tasting. Servers want to help you. Special shoutout to "Banjo" who managed the made to order omelette station. He works really hard and still finds time to manage Prima Donnas who feel too important. Dining area was always clean and well managed. Fantastic way to begin one's morning. My room service lady (Monica or something similar - she worked first floor Mon -wed was kind, respectful and did great work. Shout out to her. Executivd lounge is on 4th floor - happy hour is when they bring all the goodies out btw 5-7pm.. A bit small so if you want good aeating with a view, go there at 4:45. Things to note: Went summer (June) late sunset (10pm); early sunrise (3am). They have UV blocking curtains but you must pull them completly over the window and use a chair to hold it in place otherwise the mirror will reflect the light back in and wake you up if sensitive to light. My executive room had a view but I could hear the trains (higher floor better). Greatest feature is location, location, location! The old city with Nobel Prize museum, Kings palace, and tiny beautifuk winding streets are a walk away from the hotel. City hall is also nearby. Ferry to Vasa and Abba museum are minutes away (btw visit the VASA museum to see the worlds oldest warship recovered in full). Opportunity for improvement. It was sad and heartbreaking to see several homeless people sleeping beside the hotel at night. I felt guilty about the room I had. The hotel should work with safety net organizations to help the homeless. Whatever you do, don't send them away without helping them. I can clearly understand why they would sleep in that area, it is secure and fenced in but still heartbreaking to see.

From the cleaners to the reception and restaurant staff all are so professional and friendly. For example I went to the restaurant and asked for a coffee just as everyone was arriving for lunch (15 February management 😊). Busy waiter asked me to wait momentarily so I sat and soaked up the view. Soon after he came to take my coffee order and apologised for having made me wait…….for all of 2 minutes……Take a bow HR & management, you have a great team. Very clean and a cracking location also! And a cheeky plug for the nearby sushi outlet too ☺️

Great hotel, lovely helpful staff, amazing breakfast, great views of Stockholm. The rooms with a view are spectacular. Well worth the extra. Good location for the metro (Slussen) or walking into Galla Stan. Lots of bars and restaurants local to the hotel too.

We had such a great time in Stockholm! The staff are amazing at this hotel. Everyone was so nice and helpful! The front desk helped with translating websites and suggested activities in the area. The rooms were clean and the bed very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was delicious, we were very impressed. We are Hilton Honors diamond members and use many Hilton hotels. This one had a fantastic executive lounge. I really can’t say enough nice things about everyone there, they made our stay wonderful. Highly recommend this hotel!

Very nice hotel. Reception was extremely supportive and welcomed us very warm. Travel with two kids and they had a little playbook for them. Junior Suite was very well maintained and haa great view on Gamla Stan. Only, minor negativ point is the noise from the trains in front of the hotel

This hotel is not 5 stars. It needs a total refurb. We were given a ground floor room initially which was awful after challenging the reception we were moved to the second floor which was mildly better. The toilets have white lights and it feels like one is in an hospital. The lobby of the hotel is very unpleasant too and I did not look forward to coming back to the hotel after sightseeing. There are plenty of other much nicer options near the central Station and gamla Stan which I wish I had known. This is not at all what one expects from Hilton!

The Hilton Slussen in Stockholm is very centrally located only a bridge crossing away from the famous Old Town or Gamla Stan. The hotel is of a very good standard and the food was delicious, especially at the Eken Restaurant. Staff are extremely friendly especially Vivian and Alexandra at the Front Desk. The hotel is also very close to Slussen public metro and ferry stop to take you around to the other islands. Besides the historic sites to see, a visit to Stockholm wouldn’t be complete without a trip to the ABBA Museum.

This hotel has a nice location with much being easy to access. The hotel didn’t hit the mark as good as my Hilton stays in Helsinki and Tallinn, still the hotel is perfectly fine. The room didn’t feel fresh as the flooring was damaged and the temperature control for the room wasn’t capable of changing the conditions inside the room much.

We had a great stay at the Hilton Slussen. Check-in and check out processes were simple and easy. Denis and the team made us feel welcome and gave us great recommendations and tips to experience Stockholm. The room was spacious and cleaned very well each day. The bathroom was quite big and always clean. Breakfast was a good mix of hot and cold foods with plenty of pastries and fruit as well. They have a very good gym that is linked to an outside studio. Good location within walking distance to the old town and good public transport links. Highly recommend to stay here.
