Placed by Stockholm Ström next to the Royal Castle with a colourful history from the 17th century till today. Until the mid-20th century Stockholm Ström was a busy port. Here, by the waterfront, large ships would unload their goods and trade was conducted. The property has throughout the years hosted a mixture of warehouse, residential quarter, coffee house and guesthouses. Seven houses dating from the 17th century to the early 20th century have been merged, creating this single hotel complex. Traces of these buildings are still evident today. You can see this evidence in the thick brick walls, heavy wooden floors and sloping walls and roof. There is even a footprint from the 17th century in the bricks in our basement. The Per Brahe conference room is decorated with the interior from the shipwrecked S/S Per Brahe, that amongst others took the life of artist John Bauer when it sank.

Neighbourhood
Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen
Gamla Stan is Stockholm’s historic old town and home to the Swedish Royal Palace. It’s the most central island of Stockholm and accompanied by the small island of Riddarholmen, mainly known for its famous Riddarholm Church. Gamla Stan tends to be a bit touristy at times but is definitely worth visiting: take a stroll past the well-preserved buildings and through the small (and also Sweden’s narrowest) alleys, which will make you feel like you’ve travelled back in time. This neighborhood offers a great combination of historical buildings and traditional Swedish restaurants.

Rooms was nice with a good bed and a small sauna. Nice toiletries! The breakfast service was slow and the choices were somewhat limited. Somehow the buffe did not feel that fres, eggs were cold, caviar old and the bread did not feel that fresh.

The hotel is located on Gamla Stan. It took me a bit longer to get to it from the subway station but it wasn't too bad. They have a wake-up service (which I used). The bath is also very nice. I didn't have time to have breakfast, as I had to leave early in the morning. The view

Yes.. lovely hotel, lovely large bathroom, lovely, comfy bed.. but where are you supposed to put your clothes??!! The ‘wardrobe’ had space for five-6 hangers, but not long enough for a dress. You had to take the ironing board out so that was sitting in the room instead of tucked

We came for a short break in Stockholm and chose to stay at Reisen. The hotel is very convenient and central and they have a great Valet parking which we needed for our car. The room was clean and decent despite not being among the freshly refurbished. We were really happy with

Our rooms are as most hotels in Stockholm not air conditioned. In Sweden we rarely have the climate that require air condition. Hope to see you in Stockholm soon.

Assuming you are coming in to Arlanda Stockholm Airport the easiest way to Stockholm City is by Arlanda Express train - very frequent and yes room for luggage. When you arrive in City Station plenty of taxis but recommend you stick with official taxi firms (we used the yellow taxi Sverige.

Morning, I honestly could not answer that. I would contact the hotel directly and they would give you a more definitive answer. Sorry I could not be of more assistance
