If you´re looking for a high-end hotel with all the luxuries then don´t even consider this place. If you want a cosy unique experience and something a bit different and you don´t mind that it´s a bit worn-in then this is a great alternative. The Hotel is located literally just round the corner from a buzzing area full of restaurants and pubs. The rooms are tiny and located below street level but they do have windows, Wifi and TVs. The toilets/showers are located in the corridor but as the whole place is so small it really doesn´t matter, they´re just a few steps away anyway and they´re clean and tidy. If you want to be in the middle of things in this part of town, you plan on being out and about and you just want somewhere to lay your head at the end of the day it´s perfect. We got a room with a double bed that I wouldn´t even consider a double so be aware of that but a quick text message was all it took and 15 minutes later they helped us switch to a room with two single beds. No breakfast was served due to the pandemic but the dining room looked nice and well organized, there are plenty of cafés nearby so it wasn´t a problem. It´s all very small and not the kind of hotel where you stay in and hang out all day so it´s not for everyone but it´s certainly a good alternative if you have an open mind, want somewhere to put your bags and you like a little adventure. You will remember it!

Actually seven small rooms situated on basement level but with windows so it doesn’t feel too claustrofobic. Beautiful old house and super cosy rooms with comfy beds and a well equipped kitchen. Coop 10 minutes walk away. Three clean bathrooms, no queues during our stay. You mind your own business with code lock at the door. Nice management and decent price. We are happy with virtually everything. Very good area with plenty of restaurants and bars. Also convenient to travel by tube to all the sights and historic areas of Stockholm. But if you expect Sheraton, don’t stay here.

This is a real favorite: a very small hotel, but room are very nice, lots of details that show consideration for the guest. Situated near underground and buses, but don't miss to explore the immediate surroundings with lots of good restaurants and bars. Very good price, fine breakfast included, really price-worthy. Recommended.

OK, it is a cheap offer. But staying in a basement (watch your head!) in very, very small rooms with small beds and with noisy ventilation and cold temperature - no, it's not for me.

Shared bathroom, although clean, is also a hard sell although just seven rooms in total, so no big problem.

Breakfast fine, but cold room to sit in.

My visit to Stockholm was very important to me and the short length of time I had in the city meant that I needed accommodation very near to where I wanted to be. Hotel Tre Sma Rum certainly ticked that box. It didn't tick any more boxes.
In the DK Eyewitness Travel book on page 159 it described the hotel as inexpensive, cosy, modern and friendly. I am sorry it was none of these.
The hotel should be called a hostel. You enter it via a small door at street level and it goes down into the basement. It is just one narrow noisy corridor with 7-8 small tired rooms on the right. A small toilet/ wet room serves everyone. Another room is the eating area and a small kitchen allows you to cook toast or microwave something or make a drink.
The bedrooms are just about adequate but are below road level so traffic noise is high. Light pollution is also a big problem, you can see you watch face at night without turning any lights on!! Believe me I checked my watch many times during a night because I got very little sleep.
My fellow guests were very noisy, getting ready for a late night out at the local clubs leaving at 11pm and returning even noisier at 4.55am.
On the return one of the lads brought a young lady back and they proceeded to enjoy themselves for the next hour and a half.
The walls are paper thin with no sound proofing and I heard everything without trying. After his conquest he went whistling down the corridor for a celebratory bowl of cereal, total disregard for anybody else in this flea pit.
I left at 7.00am and had breakfast elsewhere.
I went back to complain and was promised things would be better. They were a little better the next night. The party goers stayed out till 1.30am and there was a constant padding up and down the noisy corridor and opening and shutting of many doors. Sleep was very hard to get and I was constantly woken up.
This hotel is operated as a satellite, the owners are elsewhere and have no knowledge of the nonsense that goes on.
The charge was 795 kroner a night. They did reduce it after complaining but still cost me over £50 a night. I missed out on breakfast both mornings. Total rip off!!!
Avoid this dump at costs. It's RUBBISH!!!!!!

We have been planning to stay here for a while as we had read good reviews of the hotel.

The owners were very helpful as we would be arriving late, and all arrangements were made which was great.

The hotel is very clean with nice bathrooms, however, we felt that the rooms were a bit more like a hostel than a hotel and I personally found it a little claustraphobic.

The hotel is in Sodermalm and is quite a walk from the centre of town and the old town. But Sodermalm is very safe and there are some nice bars and restaurants.

The breakfast is in the fridge and you help yourself and basically are expected to put the plates in the dishwasher etc. The selection of food was good, and I suppose for £50 a night it wasn't bad, but we stayed in a lovely hotel for about £5 more which was much nicer.

I would describe Tre Sma Rum as more of a hostel than a hotel and would say it was average, probably wouldn't go there again.

I stayed in this hotel in Sept/Oct 2003 with my mum, cousin and aunt.
The rooms are rather small (as the name suggests) but the place is very clean and well-maintained. It might be housed in a building that looks old, but the interior is neat and modern and I felt right at home! We were very appreciative of the refrigerator which was well-stocked with butter, jam, ham and cheese for our daily breakfast, although on our last day we realized that some other guests had taken all but one of the many cartons of orange juice that had lined the insides of the refrigerator door. The staff was very friendly and helpful; our train ride brought us in the wee hours of the morning on our first day, but they were able to make special arrangements for us to enter. They were also very responsive throughout our initial correspondences when I was making enquiries and doing the reservations via email. It is a bit of a walk to the nearest T-station, but the neighbourhood is pleasant and safe. A little pricey for a hostel/B&B, but so is the rest of Scandinavian Europe. For the cleanliness and friendliness, I would stay here again.

Are you travelling on a tight budget, and have no problem with shared WC/Shower (one witout soap), no TV, not so clean room, located in a basement, and to make your own breakfast? It's a OK hotel. Otherwise, no no no.

Stayed here for a week in September and really liked it. It's location is excellent, we loved Sodermalm, and the square near the hotel.
The rooms are comfy, yes they are small, but that is quite clear from the name of the hotel! The beds were super comfy, the rooms were really clean, and the bathrooms were fine. We felt like we had the bathroom near our room to ourself as we were never waiting to use it. The bathrooms are cleaned everyday. The kitchen is also clean and really cosy, the fridge is well stocked.

Christian, the owner was there every morning offering advice on places to visit etc, he was really helpful. On our last day he allowed us to store out huge suitcase in the laundry room after we had checked out. It's a very relaxed place, but if you are used to room service etc maybe this isn't the place for you.

The only minor issue was that the walls are quite thin, you can hear people in the room next door occaisionally, but this didn't bother us. I would recommend this hotel and would definitely go back.
