Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A very very pleasant stay, exellent breakfast. Staff very friendly. Nice area with good access to transportation. I will be back to enjoy the warm hospitality of Maudes. A wide range of nationalities made the stay even better.

The staff here are so friendly. They truly are great servers in every way. They even helped us with laundry! They were always available and the breakfast is delicious. The rooms are quaint and it feels like a B&B. It’s a really sweet place to stay!

My original hotel who had been giving one word email replies ( when they bothered to reply) only told me 3 days before arrival into Stockholm that they do not offer secure luggage storage. With just under a day left until departure I had no hotel booked and was stressed. I emailed the Maude’s Hotel Enskede and in one email, the lovely Anna told me everything I needed to know including clear instructions on how to get there. By the time I got Anna’s email I had 4 hours until departure from the UK to Stockholm. I made my booking and was very pleasantly surprised I had been upgraded to a room facing the pastel coloured villas behind the hotel ! I received a further email with special instructions in case I arrive after checkin closes at 2200pm. It would turn out that I would arrive sometime after that due to a cancelled and rerouted flight. The hotel is located 2 minutes walk from the Subway Station Swedmyra ( Sveadmeera ). When you exit the station, turn left, then 1st right and keep walking and a straight path ( via a road) takes you to the hotel. You can’t miss the hotel with it’s bold yellow paintwork ! Upon arrival and after 15 minutes of waiting outside in the freezing cold and snow and a potential language barrier to whoever I was speaking to, I finally managed to get access to the front door where an envelope was waiting with my surname and Room Number. Please note there is a lift to the upper floors ( I only found out after dragging my heavy suitcase up a flight of winding stairs). After a day of flying on 3 flights, my phone battery was by now down to 15% and I was dismayed that there were no USB ports, only sockets. Queue almost an hour of trying to speak to someone who wasn’t even in the hotel and explain that I need an adaptor. The next morning, the lovely Ms Kellen brought one up first thing and also invited me to Breakfast. The Hotel has a very handy timeline downstairs which shows how busy the Breakfast Room will be during the morning. I wouldn’t say the room décor is something I would personally choose ; the room was rather basic but had a wardrobe with hangers, chair, desk and the bathroom had refillable toiletries. The adorable fluffy rabbit named Andre (toy not a real rabbit) was a cute addition to my room ! An Iron and Ironing board was requested for my stay. The Hotel offers secured and locked luggage storage. There were no blackout curtains in my room, meaning brightness was strong in the morning especially when you consider it was very snowy outside. A security feature needs to be peepholes in the door. During my first Breakfast, I saw that Ms Kellen was managing reception, breakfast and attending to guest needs, always with a smile. She is positive and a great ambassador for the hotel. I was really touched at how respectful she was towards my religious dietary needs and had a plate prepared separately beforehand. Ms Annika helped me with tourist info and helped me other guests arrived but she said she would complete my query which was such a lovely and charming touch. There is a small bar selection of nibbles and drinks. But this is only whilst the Reception/Breakfast room is open. Ideally I would like to see a vending machine in the public areas. There is tea/coffee corner in the lobby and also a selection of books if you need a read ! There is also a public microwave in the lobby – useful for delicious frozen meals bought at the ICA Supermarket next door, as the hot food choice in the locality is poor. Literally one minute walk away is the ICA Kvantum supermarket which meets all your food, drink, gifts and souvenier and homeware needs and all at reasonable ( for Sweden ) prices. You can even buy Sweden'sfamous Semla Buns and Princess Tarts. The Swedmyra station has a DHL store which is also a convenience store for day to day items but I personally preferred to shop at ICA ( pronounced Eeka). The Hotel is charming and has a sister branch in Solna. I would not hesitate to return as the cute, cozy atmosphere and the 5 Star service from staff is truly above and beyond ! This will be my address in Stockholm for life !

The room was nice with all the necessary comforts. The feeling of the hotel was a country inn despite being in the city. Access to public transportation is excellent. Included was a buffet breakfast that had a variety of items one would expect of a much bigger hotel. There’s definitely something for everyone. I want to comment that Clara, who was in charge of the breakfast buffet when we were there, made sure that the breakfast buffet was kept supplied and looking fresh.

A fantastic place to be when you are in Stockholm!, It feels like you already had a home in Stockholm and you just didn't know it!!!, Tidy and clean, beautifully furnished, in each corner, you can find a soft touch of thoughtful and clever design to make the place for you all friendly and comfy, from the magazine stand in your room to pillows in the parlor... The staff are very kind and considerate, try to give you the best of information they can, and arrange your additional needs without hesitation. The hotel location is perfect in terms of access to public transportations, subway trains or busses. They are small restaurants and food kiosks with good quality foods around, in case you were too warn to elongate you wandering around old town until dinner! There are even supermarkets in the neighborhoods. Late afternoon, you can sit on the balcony and look at the easy traffic passing by, and if you are lucky, you may catch the sight of some of those lovely vintage cars! This hotel can give you access to all of Stockholm while providing a cozy sweet corner to shake off your exhaustion, either for business or vacation. We have been their clients for the past ten years. Still, every summer, we look forward to being there again, simply because we LOVE IT!

We had a very nice stay and the staff was helpful and friendly. The hotel is old but cozy! There's a couple of restaurants at a walking distance and there's a convenience store closeby too. Hotel breakfast was good, but not really a "Continental breakfast" as bigger hotels have. During our stay there was a bit of a sewer smell in the stairway, but nothing that we noticed in our room. There's a subway station closeby, which is convenient. If you have your window open you could hear it faintly, but it didn't disturb us at all (we had our window towards the Ica convenience store). We came there by bike, which I understand is a bit unusual, but they didn't really have any good spots for the bikes outside. They were however super helpful about it and we got to lock our bikes in the basement where they were secure.

Great location close to supermarket and metro only a few stops from downtown Stockholm. Very friendly and service minded staff. Good breakfast and clean rooms. A sauna can be booked in the basement. Nearby there is not much to do and only a couple of not so fancy restaurants.

Maude´s Hotel in Enskede, Stockholm is a lovely hotel with nice staff, good breakfast buffées, cosy beds, good location in the Stockholm area and close to tram and bus. The possibility to sit outside and eat on the porch with lots of plants and greenhouse surrounding you was excellent.
