I have stayed at Elite Palace a couple of times, once in a small single room and once in a classic double which was very spacious to my surprise.
The rooms are cozy and comfortable enough, though it is kind of minimal standard and not very new and well maintained. They are undergoing some renovations and adding extra rooms so hopefully this will get improved.
The lounge and lobby area is really lovely and luxurious, the food I had there was great quality and the staff are very friendly, helpful and attentive. Location is also great. A beautiful street not right in the centre but in a nice area, easily accessible on foot or by public transport.
Breakfast was great, though because the hotel hosts conferences and events, it could get rather crowded sometimes during breakfast or checkout times, not too big of a deal if you time yourself to avoid the rush :)

My wife and I stayed there 2 weekends ago and had a wonderful stay. If you're new to town, the hotel is about a 7 to 10 min walk from the closest subway...but that was pretty much the only negative.

Emma at reception was professional and friendly (with nice social distancing markers on the ground and a clear plastic shield between you and reception), and gave us all the different options available for a socially distanced breakfast too. (Having a bag delivered with your preferences to reception, paying for room service, gathering a bag yourself, or eating at the tables placed far away from each other.)

We had an initial problem with the room (nothing actually wrong with the room, just a preference issue), and a quick call to Emma downstairs fixed it within minutes. We were relocated to a fantastic room that surpassed our requirements. They made sure we were happy (within reason), and that kind of special care let us enjoy our stay!

There are plenty of restaurants nearby, the reception service the next day was great....all in all nothing to complain about. We would definitely recommend the stay as long as you don't mind the stroll from the nearest subway.

Service in the hotel is very good, nice and friendly staff. The metro to the city is just 10 min walking distance from the hotel, but we used the bicycles each day (free of charge!) and this was a really nice way to explore the city. Please note; we were here during new years eve, lot of restaurants and bars are closed in Stockholm, also in the hotel. They don't really celebrate it as much as we in do in Amsterdam :) Rooms can be renovated, but you just sleep there so not the worst thing. Breakfast is really good! I would definitly recommend this hotel.

We got a good deal on a room in Elite Palace Hotel. We knew it isn’t located in the centre of the city (and note: the nearest metro station is c 800 m from the hotel), but after staying in Stockholm centre hotels many times, it was refreshing to get to know a different snd less busy neighbourhood, beautiful Vasastan, better. With the bike borrowed from the hotel for free it was great to explore Stockholm further.

The hotel has both pros and cons. It is a big hotel where you feel like being a tiny cog in the machinery. However, the young staff members at the reception were polite and efficient. Our standard room was smallish, particularly the bathroom but quite functional and quiet. I had asked for a twin room but got a double instead. The problem was that the mattress was very ’reactive’ ie when my hubbie/I moved a bit, the whole mattress shook, disturbing sleep. The biggest issue was, however, lack of aircon: fortunately the weather wasn’t too hot during our visit. The window could only be opened a crack due to the bolting system.
Breakfast was fairly standard but plentiful.
The hotel has a spa, but a visit there would have been REALLY expensive (no discount for hotel guests) so we didn’t go there.
I could stay in Elite Palace again, but not in the hottest months.

Overall a nice hotel. The rooms were spacious by European standards. Likewise the bathrooms. The other half of our group had 2 youngsters, and they had a room within a room for them. A heavy, quiet-producing door and no windows: perfect for dealing with jet lag. Our room was a bit noisy, even on the 8th floor. Not for want of heavy, tight fitting windows. By midnight the traffic was down to an occasional loud motorbike or truck, so it didn't create a night-long problem.

Why only 4 stars?
No apparent thermostat was a bit of an issue; the room was too warm for even a sheet. This while the outside temp was 65°F.
The outlets were all loose, so our socket converters kept falling out of wall... Annoying in the middle of the night with a CPAP running and knocking out the phone chargers as it fell with a clatter. There were 2 outlets thoughtfully provided in the desk top, but neither was connected to the mains.
Fit and finish was uneven. This is a minor point as they didn't affect the functionality of the room, but it left a dissonant note compared with much that was right and first class. It left the impression that there was a gap in the commitment to high quality.

Location was mixed. There is access to two different train stops just a few blocks away, and there are a few restaurants and pubs within 15 minutes walk. Access to more variety would entail a hike or transportation. Planning an outing to a museum followed by a meal, then riding back by rail or cab/Uber would offer a wonderful choice.

Overall, a nice, clean hotel with very pleasant staff. I'd give it 4.5 stars. Maybe 4.65. ;)

This is more of a business hotel than a tourist hotel. It was being renovated when I arrived so the lobby was a bit of a mess. The service however, was excellent all 3 days I stayed there. Everyone was very polite, responsive, and spoke excellent English. The breakfast buffet is also quite large and delicious at this hotel.

The down side of this hotel is it takes about 30 minutes by subway to get to downtown Stockholm where all the tourist attractions are. Even though the subway stop is only one block from the hotel, you must walk quite a long way underground to get to the right subway train, and then change trains twice. It is VERY confusing. I was lost for 45 minutes underground until I finally found my way out. Fortunately they always have a real person selling tickets and to help you at each stop. The subway when I was there was around $3.90US each way, and a Bolt/Uber is about $15 each way from the hotel to downtown. Once I took a taxi and the same distance was $30 one way!

Downtown Stockholm and all of the museums are amazing! Every restaurant I ate in had excellent food. I visited all of the museums, and had a blast singing and dancing at the ABBA museum.

Back at the hotel though, they do not have air conditioning and the windows do not open. I had a very hard time sleeping the first night because the room was so hot. It was 80 F that day, and the small fan they provided did not help.

Also, you cannot access the beautiful swimming pool they show in their photos, as that is part of a separate spa business. It costs between $50 and $75 to use the pool, jacuzzi, steam, etc. Or you can book a massage for around $120US and use of the pool/spa is included. That's what I did. A very excellent massage and a relaxing afternoon. The spa is at least air conditioned!

The gym, which is next to the spa, is complimentary to hotel guests. It is air conditioned and quite large for a hotel gym. So if you are looking for a nice gym, this hotel could be a consideration.

Check-in/out very fast, lobby bar's selection and service great - however lobby bar closed little too early (at midnight). Biggest downside was that the room in the 10th floor did not had any A/C and already in June (outside temp around +20C) the temperature in the room rose during the night to such level it was hard to sleep. My room was also not clean there were stains on the hard wood floor and in the bathroom there were hair all over. Breakfast and the selection was good but the breakfast room's ambient noice level was way above the level that you feel comfortable in the morning when you desire bit less noice and quietness.

Good location, great spa, the most helpful reception staff and the bar service was a treat with proper cocktails.
This is a really good hotel. Located just the right distance from the centre, we used the Metro, 5 min walk, 10 minute ride to New and Old Town.
Myself and Faye spent the weekend there just gone. It was a 45 minute journey from the airport, we took the bus, not expensive and it stopped 3 minutes from the hotel door.
The rooms were a little dated, but do not let this put you off. The hotel is currently having a re fresh to the rooms.
Would visit again.

Disappointed with experience of our stay! Welcoming and staff in general was just ok, wouldn’t exactly use service minded…starting with Reservations made directly with hotel, it was very slow at times took days to get a reply, I booked for myself, sister and cousin. Was emailing back and forth at least a month prior to arrival.. for each email there was a new person assigned to answer… and instead of reading thread of email same questions asked over and over again, very inefficient! Me and partner stayed 3 nights and turns out we were given a very outdated room… especially the bathroom was poor, old door, floor felt dirty saw broken glass in a corner, toilet seat was scratched not at all pleasant. Last night was when rest of company joined us, we all payed same rate and to have SPA included however family got new refurbished rooms, which Im glad they did!!!! They had robes and slippers, while we had to mention a few times no robes no slippers since day 1. Spa facilities are nice but quality of experience bad as too much people are allowed at a time and you can not get a hold of a bed or space . I understand it gets busier on weekends but they also charge you more on weekends so would still expect an overall nice experience.. as they make u book in advance but still overbook the place due to members.. experience in end wasnt nice at all, of 3 hours SPA we used 1 hour roughly.. and rushed out…
The only plus on this stay was the lovely staff at breakfast so friendly and helpful and welcoming!!

The hotel rooms gets 3 out of 5 stars. Old and not classy interior design. Not impressed at all. Didn’t want to stay in there too much. Breakfast was not very impressive either (understand the pandemic situation), but it was ok.

The spa gets 5 out of 5 stars. It feels like totally different hotel after seeing the room. We absolutely loved the spa. The gym was top class and new too.

One hot bubble bath to fit a couple of people. The only bad thing with this jacuzzi was that it was quite hard to get in and out from it. I’m quite short but fit, and still had a hard time to get in and out from it since the walls were high and wide. I don’t think old people, quite larger persons or not flexible persons will like the bubble pool.

Three different types of saunas (Finnish, not that super hot, and steam sauna) plus two cool showers with different showering alternatives for example rain forest mist rain. The steam sauna was not working when we were there in March. There was an nudist old man who went in there in the closed steam sauna, so we had to tell the lady in the reception to make him leave. Very intriguing.

We also wonder why the biggest pool were freezing cold? If it was to cool down from the saunas, I was already cooled down by walking the steps out of the sauna area and as soon I put one feet in the freezing cold water - you just wanted to take it out again.

I believe it will be better if it was hot water in the big central pool.

Will not come back for the hotel experience - will only come back for the spa if the above mentions are fixed.
