My fourth visit to the Rival was every bit as good as the first! The comfy beds, great shower (with music!), amazing breakfasts and sunny balcony are just for starters! It's the lots of little touches that, for me, give a feeling that you're not staying in a hotel, you're staying in a mini apartment in one of Stockholm's most...

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here. The breakfast buffet is fantastic, with almost too many delicious options. There are fresh fruits, meats, cheeses, potatoes, eggs, breads, etc. They will also make hot items to order like omelettes and swedish pancakes. We ate here for a dinner a few times and had great service, evening or night. The...

Great location if you are visiting friends or family in Sodermalm, or know the neighborhood well. Quaint rooms with eclectic art and furnishings, gracious staff, a vibrant bar/club, and a sumptuous buffet breakfast. A great experience.

The rooms within the hotel itself are a little on the small side although they are nicely furnished, our room could have done with a little maintenance such as the missing plaster over the window. Breakfast was delicious and was included within the price however we experienced the odd plate that wasn't suitably clean with residual food present. One minor...

Stayed in this hotel for a few days in March 2017. It was a very stylish and trendy place to stay and also very easy to get to from the airport using the express train and the underground. The staff were very welcoming from the moment of check in and everything ran smoothly. Breakfast was very good with ample choices....

Staying in Mariatorget

Neighbourhood Profile
Mariatorget
This rather quiet neighborhood revolves around a postcard-like park with a dramatic fountain in its center and is definitely one of Stockholm’s showcase neighborhoods. Mariatorget, a central residential area, is the best Stockholm has to offer when it comes to juxtaposing architectural masterpieces with sophisticated art galleries, coffee shops and bars. Stockholmers love to spend their weekends in the park or one of the nearby coffee shops, so come to Mariatorget to meet the locals. The northern part of Mariatorget boasts historic buildings, beautiful cobblestone streets, and one of Stockholm’s best observation decks, Monteliusvägen, from where you can see an amazing view of the city hall and Stockholm’s old town.
