The room was 78.90 a night...which for what we got was pretty steep. it was a 20 mins walk from the central island, and as two girls travelling we didn't like walking around at night. taxi was about £17 to central station. We booked an economy double room. the bed was smaller than a double and with two cases and...

Met by the owner on arrival, booked in no problem with him pleasantly explaining what was where etc. He gave me my key and I went to my room. First of all, you don't go on a city break to spent hours in your room, so don't let what I say put you off, but, forewarned is forearmed. I was...

We booked a room almost a year in advance. My wife got pregnant in the meantime and we informed them, 3 months before our planned stay, that her gynecologist recommended, in writing, against travelling just a few weeks before the due delivery date. Still, with a good reason to have to cancel and ample time for them to find new...

We stayed for one night and this hotel had the best price for private bathroom and breakfast in the morning. As being a cabin on a boat the room was very small but clean and comfortable with an additional heater for the winter night. There were some noises from neighboring rooms that can be disturbing, mainly the flushing of the...

We loved staying here - the cabins are dinky little love nests. Tiny, but so comfy with nice bedding .... and everything is to hand. The portholes looked out over the river to the city. Air quality was great - air con and radiators. ... and it was QUIET! beautifully so - some people came home in the cabin above...

we chose this place just to spend a night nearby the citycenter. plus because of the price (the cheapest we could find for that time in august). this can be an exuse for the conditions we had in the room. don't go there if you are not used to cold shower in the morning. whatever we did "hot" water was...

Very Basic, but clean and spotless. Like most boats the rooms were quite small, but this can be expected. Location wise was ok and near most of the Places of interest like Sodermalm and Gamla Stan. Breakfast is very basic, but is makes up for this with the view the restaurant is quite nice ( but the food choice is...

As other travellers have said, the location is very good, with a lovely sight and at walking distance to Gamla Stan and the subway. But the rooms, oh my, the ROOMS. We were given a "double" but the bed was a little more than a single one - I couldn't extend one arm without disturbing my bf, and I'm a...

After a long search on the web for a hotel in Stockholm that wasn't a hostel, wasn't expensive, had a private bathroom and wasn't to far from the city center we decided to book a four night stay at Loginns hotel. We were both very happy about the fact the hotel was on boat but were worried about the bad...

The Loginn hotel was a great choice for us as we were on a very tight budget, the triple room we got was much cheaper than any of the other hostels or hotels that were available when we booked. The general consensus of reviews I read was that you get what you pay for and I agree completely. The "triple"...

Staying in Mariatorget

Neighbourhood Profile
Mariatorget
This rather quiet neighborhood revolves around a postcard-like park with a dramatic fountain in its center and is definitely one of Stockholm’s showcase neighborhoods. Mariatorget, a central residential area, is the best Stockholm has to offer when it comes to juxtaposing architectural masterpieces with sophisticated art galleries, coffee shops and bars. Stockholmers love to spend their weekends in the park or one of the nearby coffee shops, so come to Mariatorget to meet the locals. The northern part of Mariatorget boasts historic buildings, beautiful cobblestone streets, and one of Stockholm’s best observation decks, Monteliusvägen, from where you can see an amazing view of the city hall and Stockholm’s old town.
