I have stayed at this hotel twice over the past year for a Stockholm staycation and absolutely loved it both times.
The highlights are:
Location: It is right in the heart of the city with all the main attractions, shops, restaurants and bars within easy walking distance.
Connections: Stockholm has a world class public transport system which is right on your doorstep: Underground, tram and bus stops are just minutes walk away.
Rooms: I have stayed in both the King Deluxe and Queen Superior rooms and adored both. They are very tastefully decorated with chandeliers and a gas fired open fireplace which is lovely to come back too after a chilly day walking around Stockholm.
The bed was exceptionally comfortable with soft sheets and comfy pillows always giving me a great nights refreshing sleep.
The bathrooms are finished to a very high standard with great rain showers (my King Deluxe also had a bath tub)
Ambiance: The hotel is in a building from the 1700's and this gives it a lot of charm, both in the common areas and the rooms.
Breakfast: One of the best all you can eat breakfast buffets I have had at a hotel, and it is always included in the room rate.
Food and drink: I dined at the cozy French themed restaurant on the premises and had superb food and wine on both occasions with friendly, knowledgeable and attentive staff.
Concierge: The hotel really stands out in providing 3 concierges (2 of whom are members of Les Clefs d’Or) who go out of their way to make sure you get the best personalized experience out of your visit to Stockholm.
Staff: All staff members I interacted with were very professional, skilled and friendly. You can really tell that they love working at the hotel.
All in all I cannot recommend the hotel highly enough and am really looking forward to my next visit.

We spent 3 nights at the hotel. From the beginning it was a perfect stay. We felt at home from the moment to got out of the airport transfer and walked into the lobby.
Staff are very friendly and try their best to help and give suggestions where to have try out local restaurants.

The first evening we had a delicious meal at the hotel restaurant - even though it was French cuisine! We had pre-dinner and after-dinner drinks at the hotel bar. The barkeeper was great. Breakfast was a feast!
Rooms are spotless and there is nothing that we could fault. Room service everyday was much appreciated.

Many attractions, sights and local restaurants are in walking distance.
Hotel called a taxi to take us to the Vasa Museum. We took the same company back after our visit. We were shocked though that the fare was nearly double to what we had paid to get there.....

The only thing we weren't pleased with was that the restaurant uses synthetic table cloths and crumbs and so on are just wiped with a wet cloth onto the floor. In such a lovely setting, I'm sure the hotel could do better than that.

All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Stockholm and if we ever return to Stockholm we know where to stay.

My wife and I spent 3 nights in the King's Garden on what was our first visit to Sweden. The whole visit was a wonderful experience, as Stockholm is quite simply an incredible city, and made better by staying in such an outstanding hotel. Excellent service, delivered by friendly, helpful staff, and with superb facilities.

We had a wonderful room on the 5th floor overlooking the Kungstradgarden, ice rink, and city skyline. Although the main entrance is down a side street the location is excellent for exploring; whether by walking, bus, tram or metro, and conveniently situated for many of the city’s visitor attractions and local restaurants and bars.

Our room was very comfortable and well equipped, including a mini-bar, safe for valuables, soft bathrobes, hair dryer, toiletries, and my personal favourite; a luxurious shower!

The food was excellent, especially the breakfast spread, and although we ate out we also had an enjoyable meal at the hotel restaurant one evening, which is unique in terms of décor and ambience being situated in the courtyard with a magnificent chandelier above. The food and service were exemplary.

There are genuinely not enough superlatives to do the hotel justice.

Tack så mycket to all the staff for making our stay so enjoyable and I very much look forward to a return visit.

Perfect location: in the heart of Stockholm yet quiet and peaceful.

From the moment we stepped in we felt our stay would be amazing, and it was!
The hall and dinner room are stunning (that chandelier!), the atmosphere is luxurious and cosy (more sitting areas can be found up the stairs, more quiet and intimate) the rooms are very welcoming and clean, and the beds…probably the best I have even slept in. The dinner was absolutely delicious and the breakfast had so many options!

Despite the special sanitary context with Covid we felt very safe in this hotel which made our stay all the more enjoyable.

Special thanks to the staff who was extremely nice and attentive to our well-being throughout our stay: the concierge, the waiters at dinner and breakfast. Thank you!
We really enjoyed our stay and we highly recommend Hotel Kungsträdgården!

This hotel just epitomises excellent customer service and hospitality. I feel privileged to have found this absolute gem in such an incredible city. I was travelling with my three-year-old daughter who is very well behaved but at the end of the day she is still three so i worry sometimes how she will be treated in a luxury hotel such as this... the staff made her feel so welcome and engaged her during every interaction.

Every encounter with every member of staff was wonderful with nothing being too much trouble. The rooms are elegant and have every amenity you could possibly need. We stayed in a junior suite and I HIGHLY recommend the upgrade if you can.

We did have a little problem with the taxi driver from the station trying to find the hotel as it is hidden (which is part of its charm too!) so make sure you make a note of the address before getting into a taxi. The hotel is just a few steps from the ice rink in Kings Garden and maybe 10 minutes walk from the old town too which we loved exploring.

The food in the restaurant was exceptional and really delicious. Unfortunately, there wasn't anything which was particularly appealing to my daughter but the hotel made her meatballs and mashed potato (I tried it and they were delicious) with no fuss or issue at all. The breakfast spread and set up was plentiful and again totally delicious!

Adam the concierge was so helpful and forthcoming in recommending some attractions which were suitable for families and we loved everything he suggested.

I absolutely loved this hotel and i am certain I will be back one day! Thank you :)

We had a girl's night here for a friend's birthday and I must say that Hotel Kunsträdgården pulled out all the stops! The location is super central but also feels like an oasis of calm and quiet. The entire building is the epitome of luxury with lush carpets and a crystal chandelier to die for. Dinner in the Brasserie was delicious, as was the breakfast- we never wanted it to be over! Our room had a gorgeous view and was super comfortable and clean. The staff were also fantastic, courteous, and happy to help with anything we needed.

We spent a fairy tale week staying at Hotel Kings Garden. It was pure magic from the moment we checked in to the moment we hugged one of the concierges goodbye at the end of the stay. The hotel is breathtakingly beautiful, but it's more than that. The staff are friendly, thoughtful, helpful, personable, always smiling...there is no detail overlooked.

The room feels crisp and is spotlessly clean with a spacious rain shower and handheld nozzle. Our room had two huge windows which open into the incredible inner courtyard (there are curtains for privacy, but we usually had them open because it was just too pretty a view to miss). There are multiple levels of seating above the inner courtyard where we often sat with a drink plus a wonderful patio in front of the hotel where we wound down with drinks most nights.

The staff helped with anything and everything we needed: directions, confirming reservations, calling taxis...they even prepared takeout breakfasts for us on the morning we left because we were leaving before breakfast.

The location cannot be topped as it is central to everything: the tram, major attractions, the harbor, shopping, restaurants.

Truly, the virtues of this hotel and the staff are limitless. It was very hard to leave!!

I don't think I can express just how much I love this hotel and its staff. I had the privilege of staying there for 2 months and would have stayed forever if I could! The actual hotel is in the PERFECT location, the interior is breathtaking and intimate, making you forget that you are in the middle of the city. The staff are OUTSTANDING, each and every one of them made me feel welcome, at home, and like a queen. I extended my trip several times just because I loved being there so much. The rooms are elegant, comfortable and include the best touches, making you feel like you like in your own little palace.

If you are coming to Stockholm and value privacy, intimate surroundings, elegance and exquisite service, THIS is the place. Personally, I cannot wait to come back and am already planning my next trip.

I came to Hotel Kings Garden to celebrate my 6 month anniversary with my girlfriend and I used their offer to have a room to stay and relax in during the day. This included a lunch aswell which was amazing for the price! And the stay was absolutely amazing! The room was fantastic and had this old school feel to it, but with very modern bathrooms. Also the bed was fantastic, and I almost cancelled all my plans the day just to be able to lay in the bed. The breakfast buffé was amazing, and really fresh with alot of variation which made it very pleasant to eat. Super nice smoothies too!

The hotel is located in the literal center of the center of Stockholm which is very convenient if you have other plans throughout the day.

I had made some specific requests to the concierge (Adam) who fulfilled these needs with amazing perfection! I have to say that Adam is without a doubt the best concierge in the game and will go out of his way to make the stay the best one you have had. Together with hotel manager, Linus, they really make a dream team in the hotel industry. I will definitely recommend Hotel Kings Garden to everyone I know in the future. Because I really do feel that the service that Linus and Adam gives makes you feel special, at home and gives you the sense that your stay in the hotel is what matters to them!

I cannot say anything else than Bravo! I will be back for our 1 year anniversary for sure, and I know that I can count on them that it will be amazing! Thank you so much for everything!

Just spent a lovely weekend in Stochholm at the King's Garden. The location of this hotel cannot be beat. It is just a few minutes away from practically everything or at convenient transportation link. Despite its central location, the King's Garden is tranquil with no street noise. The hotel itself is a charming old building refurbished to modern standards but with an old world ambiance. The service was excellent. Our only qualm was that the room was tiny. Even so, the bed was soft and every other aspect of our stay was flawless.

Hi, is the gym included in the room price or is there an add cost?
Dear Kai C, Thank you for your message and please excuse our delayed response. All our guest have complementary access to the gym and sauna; the official opening hours are 06:00 - 22:00, but should you feel the urge for a work out in the middle of the night, you can feel free to do so. Best regards, Hotel Kungsträdgården
Dear jatenne9 Thank you for your questions. Our air-condition is a proper central air-condition unit. It works both as a heater in the winter and air-condition in the warmer, summer months. The temperatures can be adjusted independently in every room. Our hotel is quite new (we celebrated our second birthday in February) and have not received any comments of mould smells. I am quite sensitive to mould myself and know exactly where you are coming from. I am quite certain that you will find no problems at all concerning humidity and the smells associated to it during your stay with us. Please do not hesitate in contacting us directly if you have any further questions or if we can do anything in order to make your stay even more memorable. Best regards, Mathias Kick Concierge
