I went on a solo trip to Gothenburg and opted to stay in this hotel. I picked a small room and it really was very small, but perfect for a solo traveller. I'd say if you are travelling as a 2 that you should pick a bigger room.

The room was mostly quiet and nicely decorated, although there seemed to be no way to adjust the temperature within the room. The bathroom was nice and the shower was great with nice products.

The breakfast was really excellent and you also get espresso based coffee for free all day when staying in the hotel which was a great bonus.

The hotel is perfectly located for exploring the centre of town. It was only 20 minutes or so on the bus from the airport and then a 5 minute walk to the hotel. The staff were friendly and there are some comfy sofas upstairs for chilling out on.

I'd definitely recommend this place!

Fun boutique hotel in the heart of GOT. Rooms were on the small side but cute. Staff were all babes but totally uninterested in customer service. Rooftop bar is a good place to spend an afternoon. Avoid rooms that are close to the boxing ring as you will hear the noise from 6am-11om

Great staff, excellent service from all working there. The breakfast if maybe a great reason by itself to visit the hotel. Wide selection from fresh fruit, newly baked bread, to scrambled eggs, sausage and bacon and you can even make your own waffles (the staff will help you if need be). And of course fresh juices accompanied by a cup of coffee or even late if you ask them for it. I will always reconnect the small croissants with some Nutella on top. Very nice decor throughout, a surprisingly nice gyp, and well kept room. I will say that 3 or my 4 stays I did feel the air was a bit dry in the room which a few others agreed on however I would definitely come back another time even though.

Nice light interior decor. Clean rooms. Well soundproofed. Reasonable prices.
Negative:
1.'In your face' security.
2.Friendly but poorly trained interns.
3.Bathroom door that wouldn't close and washbasin with partially clogged drain would indicate poor management.
4.Room invaded by cleaners in morning without knocking
5.Hotel doesn't take cash anywhere
6.Response to Covid 19 is to remove breakfast buffet and replace with table service and a breakfast of hotels choice - what a terrible waste of food. Gästs want to choose what they want to eat for breakfast themselves!
7.Impossible to book garage space on website

Terrible customer service and overall experience. Unless you’re a young man or woman looking for parties and to hook up, I do not recommend you stay at this hotel. The room was comfortable but the hotel turns into a club after hours which is disturbing if you’re looking for a quiet night and you also have to subject yourself to harassment by drunk patrons just to get to your room. Further, the bar tenders are as bad as the patrons making it uncomfortable to have a drink at the bar. I often travel alone for work and always feel safe & comfortable in a quiet hotel bar for a glass of wine at the end of the night but not at Hotel Bellora. If it’s not a drunk guest pushing themselves on you it’s a bar tender. The remainder of my interactions with the staff and hotel were also sub-par: the front desk refused to help with transport to the airport, there is no air conditioning in the rooms as advertised, and the bathrooms were often left out of soap or uncleared. Beyond the hotel I had a wonderful time in Gothenburg, but will never stay with Hotel Bellora again.

Have been here for one night during a busines tripp in Göteborg. The hotel staff was friendly, check-in and check-out has worked pretty well. The room was good, slightly small and everything was clean. The bed allowed a deep and relaxing sleep.
The breakfast offered a very good selection of cold and warm food.
Would select this hotel again, when in the area.

Busy and convenient location on Avenyn, Gothenburg’s main shopping and restaurant/bar street. Bellora has a fun restaurant on the entrance level and a roof terrace with great views of the city. A bit of a poser crowd though.

The room we had, the largest ‘classico double’ was cramped and worn, so a fairly big disappointment. Staff was overall friendly (save for the rude roof terrace guy who took payment) but seemed a bit inexperienced.

Also, the rooms do not have air conditioning and gets very stuffy during the peak summer period - to a level where it prohibits good sleep.

Not a particularly memorable experience - we moved out a day early…

My wife and I were gifted our stay by friends for Christmas for some quality time together before I return to Australia for several months. As we live about an hour's drive out of Gothenburg we don't get into the city quite often enough, so this was a fantastic treat. We had been told great things about the hotel, including the breakfast and coffee, from friends and family, but our expectations were really surpassed. The service was helpful and always friendly. Free endless coffee - some of the best I've had in Sweden - and that breakfast buffet. WOW. We'll definitely be returning in the future. Positioned right on the Avenue, it's practically the centre of town and within walking distance to everything. Depending on your needs, some of the rooms may be a bit small, but for us it was perfect.

We stayed for two nights at this hotel over the weekend and everything was great.
The room was sparkling clean but quite small, which was fine for us.
The breakfast for sure was a very good surprise for us, both the quality and the variety of the food was amazing!
Staffs were all very nice and helpful!
The location was perfect for us very centrally located and everything that we wanted to see was in walking distance. Tons of good restaurants, cafe and bars nearby.

I would stay here again. We got our best value for our money here out of all the places we stayed during this trip.

Breakfast feels homemade, like you’re at a charming hostel owned by a loving couple. The hotel itself looks like a professional, 5-star establishment. Throughout the day, there is free coffee and tea. We had dinner at the restaurant one night - very good pizza and drinks. There is a rooftop bar, and also an upstairs bar (2nd floor, visible from the inside reception). Lots of areas to socialize.

One note: Don’t get the absolutely smallest room size. There’s not much room to stand in those rooms, it’s almost just a bed and bathroom and walls. If you have to pick the smaller room size category, ask if you can get one of the larger rooms within that section. We are very glad we did that.

Room Tip: Avoid the tiniest room size, if you can. Especially if traveling with a partner.
