I stayed at Hotel Poseidon two nights during my recent trip to Gothenburg in a single room accomodation. Service was excelent. Very helpful and welcoming staff at a front desk, and a great breakfast buffet. The hotel is located on several tram/bus lines, around a corner form Gothenburg University, and is walkable distance from restaurants, parks, canal, and other points...

Close to Gothenburgs best bars and restaurant but free from noice so you'll get a good nights sleep at this small hotel. Excellent breakfast in the cellar of the hotel, no hotel bar to speak of or food for that matter. Small rooms with comfortable beds..

We stayed 4 nights and found it a good location - easy trip from Central Station on the tram. We had an attic room, quiet and spacious. On arrival we had a very enthusiastic welcome and other staff were helpful. The breakfast was plentiful with great (Swedish) options. We hadn't picked this place (chosen for us by our hosts in...

We kind of stuck a pin in a map to choose a destination for our short October half term break & ended up in Gothenberg. Using this site & a couple of others we ended up choosing the Hotel Poseidon as our accommodation & we were not disappointed. Shuttle bus from the airport gets you to the main tram terminal....

We stayed at the Hotel Poseidon for 3 nights during a short trip to Gothenburg. It was a lovely hotel - good location, clean and well maintained rooms, excellent service and a fantastic traditional breakfast buffet every morning which allowed us to try out some local Swedish food. We also enjoyed the complimentary tea , coffee and biscuits which the...

Very friendly and helpful staff. Helped us figure out how to get to the Volvo museum when public transport was closed for maintenance. Good place to stay. Very close to the city centre, restaurants, cafes and clubs. Love the kitchen/breakfast area. Breakfast was pretty good as well. Really comfortable king bed. Best sleep ever!

Visiting from the U.S. in late July, stayed in Gothenburg two nights--wish it was longer. The hotel was great for a very reasonable price. Friendly and helpful staff, sparkling clean room, though on the small side, and well located to walk just about anywhere in the main area of Gothenburg. It was very quiet except for Saturday night, when the...

The best part of Hotel Poseidon is the wonderful and caring staff. They were there to assist me in any way possible, including a rough 4am checkout and taxi for the airport; making sure I had a sandwich to take, and answering my question about appropriate tipping for taxis. The hardest part about room 505 for me was that it...

... Stay here! This hotel is family owned and you can feel it. Taking hospitality serious, the welcome is warm and very friendly. This impression occurs already upon entering the building and continued throughout our stay. Everyone friendly and helpful. The building is in the new part of Gothenburg, built around 1900, carefully renovated, blending old and new (where particularly...
